Game of Thrones: The Drogon Voice

Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Good News

"Of course I like friendship, but not from the barbaric Dothraki." The spice merchant's face darkened.

Daenerys gritted her teeth and resisted the urge to fight back. She didn't want to make the relationship between the two sides too strained, and she was afraid that the other party would snatch her dragon if she pushed too hard.

The spice merchant stood there, but instead of receiving the expected anger, he could only walk back to the team of the Thirteen Giants in disappointment.

Watching the spice merchant walk back to the team, Jorah was a little puzzled and looked at Daenerys with questioning eyes.

Is Khaleesi just going to give up the chance to enter the city?

"This is not the way the people of Qartheen treat their guests, especially when they are the Mother of Dragons."

Just when everyone thought the talks had failed and Daenerys was about to turn around and lead the team away, a tall, dark-skinned middle-aged man walked out from among the thirteen giants.

"Xaro Xaoun Daxos, do you have anything else to say?" the spice merchant asked with a frown.

"I simply thought that we should not turn the Mother of Dragons away from us as she crossed the Red Waste." Xaro gave Daenerys a slight nod.

Daenerys looked at Xaro with hope. If she could enter the city, she didn't want to walk for several days to the coast.

"The thirteen giants have reached a consensus. Do you still want them to enter our city?" the spice merchant asked in a questioning tone.

"I am also one of the Thirteen Giants, am I not?" Zaro's face was tough.

"Our decision will not be easily changed!" The spice merchant looked at the other tycoons, and they nodded in response.

"Then I request to activate Sumai!"

After saying that, Xaro pulled out the sharp dagger from his waist, grasped the blade with his hand and slashed it hard. A deep scratch appeared on the palm of his hand, and blood dripped down.

Daenerys and Jorah's faces changed when they saw this scene from a distance. They didn't expect Xaro to let them into the city in this way, so what was his intention?

Seeing Xaro's bloody palm, the spice merchant flicked his sleeves and walked aside. The other tycoons made a commotion, made way, and the gate slowly opened.

Although she didn't know why Xaro insisted on letting them enter the city, when she saw the open gate and the prosperous city inside, Daenerys was worried but also had a hint of hope in her eyes.

The crisis has been resolved for the time being, and we will talk about Xaro's intentions later.

Qarth is indeed a great city. As soon as you enter the gate, you can see exquisite high-rise buildings and lush trees lining the road. The Qarth people walking on the street have fair skin and well-dressed. No wonder they are called milk people.

After passing through the gate, Drogon lifted the curtain and saw the prosperous scene of Qarth City. Even he, a time traveler from the New Age, was amazed.

It is hard to imagine that there is such a beautiful port city on the edge of the wilderness.

After passing through the bustling streets, Daenerys and others were arranged to stay in a small private manor of Xaro. After arranging them, Xaro left very gentlemanly.

After washing off the dust from the journey and wearing gorgeous Qarth costumes, Daenerys, with her delicate face, already has some of the qualities of a queen.

The three dragons of Drogon were released from their cages and moved around in the courtyard. Drogon not only ate a lot, but also digested food quickly. The maids Jhiqui and Irri were busy setting up the grill and grilling meat as soon as they finished tidying up the room.

Daenerys, wearing new clothes, grilled meat for her little dragons despite the smoke. She liked watching them swallow the meat with big mouthfuls, as if she could get a little satisfaction from it.

Seeing the youthful Dragon Mother, Drogon couldn't help but admire her, "She is indeed of Targaryen pure blood, and she is a queen."

Daenerys was very happy while grilling and listening to the alternative praise from Drogon.

The little dragons had an astonishing appetite and grew in size very quickly, changing almost every day. Drogon, in particular, was half the size of the other two dragons.

Daenerys has begun to fantasize about flying through the sky on a dragon.

Now Drogon could barely spit out dragon flame to grill the meat for himself. However, as the flame was too small, it could only burn the surface, while the inside was still half-cooked. Drogon did not like it, but Viserion and Rhaegal were not so particular. As long as the surface was browned and the inside was half-cooked, they would swallow it.

Drogon practiced while grilling meat for the two dragons, which saved Daenerys and the maid a lot of work.

Spreading his wings, Drogon had time to observe two of his kind, the gold dragon Viserion and the green dragon Rhaegal.

[These two stupid dragons need to be trained well. They can't die so easily anymore. It's embarrassing for our dragon clan.] Looking at the two dragons fighting for the barbecue, drogon said to himself.

Daenerys, who was fiddling with the barbecue, felt her heart skip a beat. Then her worry turned into joy. Having Drogon training Rhaegal and Viserion was much better than training them herself.

"Khaleesi."

Jorah's voice came from the door, and there was someone beside him.

"Khaleesi, this is Captain Kuhuru of the Cinnamon Wind, from Tall Trees in the Summer Isles. He brings you news from Westeros."

Captain Kuhulu, whose skin was shiny and black, immediately fell to the ground and shouted: "Noble Mother of Dragons, it is my honor to meet you!"

Upon hearing the word Westeros, not only Daenerys became interested, but even Drogon, who was practicing barbecue nearby, pricked up his ears.

"You've been to Westeros. What's the situation there now?" Daenerys asked a little anxiously.

"King Robert is dead, and there is chaos there..."

"The Usurper is dead?" Daenerys couldn't believe it.

She grew up listening to stories about the Usurper, which was also the shadow and nightmare of her childhood. Legend has it that he was as tall and brave as a black bear, and killed his brother Rhaegar, whom he had never met, with a hammer and occupied the Iron Throne.

It was also because of him that he had been on the run since he was in the womb, with no fixed place to live and facing the risk of assassination at any time. Just recently, he almost drank the poisoned wine he gave him. Fortunately, Ser Jorah was there, so his conspiracy could not succeed.

Now that she had heard the news of his death, Daenerys suddenly felt that the sky above her head had become brighter.

"Is this news accurate? How did he die? Tell me other news about Westeros." Daenerys was very worried that she was too happy for nothing.

"The news is absolutely true. The once brave King Robert was stabbed to death by a wild boar, and the whole of Westeros is talking about it. Prince Joffrey inherited the throne, and the king's two younger brothers did not recognize their right to the throne and fled from King's Landing, intending to establish themselves. Prime Minister Eddard Stark was arrested for treason." Kuhuru continued.

Daenerys became more and more pleased as she listened, and at the same time she looked at Jorah, hoping that he would help her to distinguish the authenticity of the news.

"Edard and Robert are as close as brothers, there is absolutely no way they would commit treason," Jorah analyzed.

"Why not? Didn't he betray my father and become Robert's lackey?" Daenerys retorted angrily.

In addition to hating Robert who usurped the throne, she also hated the ministers who betrayed her father. They were all Robert's accomplices and executioners. Without them, she would not have had to live a life of exile before she was born.

Faced with the angry Daenerys, Jorah no longer defended Eddard, especially since it was Eddard who wanted to sentence him to death and caused him to go into exile overseas.

[Ed has been beheaded, and the five kings are fighting happily at this time. ]
