Inner Pain


Jay-jay's POV


You and Ella are the same.
The words he said were like a broken record replaying in my brain.
It hurt so much!
Paasa.
Keifer hugged me tightly. He didn't speak and
just let me be.
I felt like a child sobbing from crying. His arm and shoulder were wet
with my tears and runny nose.
"You can't blame Yuri..." He said while continuing to hug me.
"...he was hurt, again."
"I-I know... P-but it just hurts so bad."
That wasn't my intention. I really didn't intend to make
her feel better. I didn't mean to.
I understand if she's really mad at me. But I really can't
help but cry. It's like there are a million needles
stabbing my heart.
"Keifer... She doesn't want to postpone the wedding."
She pulled away from the hug. She held both of
my cheeks. Even though my face was covered in cold and tears.... She still kissed
me.
For a moment I forgot the reason I was crying. I also forgot that I didn't know what to do. Oh my! The girl's
mouth tasted like cigarettes and Mentos . She pulled away from me and immediately looked at me with
disgust. "Yack! Your cold..." I immediately slapped her hard but she just laughed at me. "You're so an
noying!" I
said annoyed. She held both of my cheeks again. This time, she looked at me seriously. "Don't worry about the
wedding. We still have time to think of a plan on how we can stop it." I sniffed and nodded at him. He kissed
my forehead. I was feeling a little better. He took something from his pocket and handed me a white
handkerchief. "Wipe your cold. You're disgusting." He said and laughed. I quickly took the handkerchief and
blew it. I think I've already let out everything that was hiding in my nose, I'll just let out my brain too. After
getting my thoughts out, I handed the handkerchief back to him. "Thank you." "It's up to you... It's
embarrassing for you. You might get caught for letting it out." I just held the handkerchief. Keifer started the
car. It was time for me to go home. "I want to go home." I said almost in a whisper. He just nodded at me. I
was quiet on the trip, I wanted to talk, what would I say? I had a chance to see Keifer looking at me, but I
couldn't return that look. Even though the weight I felt was less, it still hurt. The words he let out at me. After
all, I deserved it. What I did to him hurt. I just made him hope for nothing. If I had known this would happen, I
wouldn't have said it in the first place . What did he mean when he said 'Keifer is not the only one who has
ways'? I suddenly remembered what Ci-N said about him. My mind was in turmoil! When I had so many
questions in my mind but I couldn't find any answers. "Jay..." Keifer called out to me, getting my attention.
"Hm?" "I talked to Percy." My heart stopped. I slowly looked at Keifer who was looking straight at the road.
Here was another one that was messing with my mind. "W-how?" "Remember my promise to you? About your
ather's information?" I nodded in response. "...I did get his contact number and try to call it. His secretary
answered ." He suddenly stopped the car. That's when I noticed that we were close to the house. He didn't
come back like yesterday. He took out his cellphone and was pressing something. He held it up to me and
there was a recording playing. "Good morning... You're reaching Mr. Mariano's number. Do I know who's on the
line?" A man's voice. From the way he spoke, it sounded foreign, like a slang in English. But why was Keifer
making me hear this? "This is Keifer Watson. Can I speak to Mr. Mariano? This is urgent." Keifer's voice was
authoritative. No one answered on the other line. It was quiet, I thought it was over. But the countdown and
the play symbol were still going on. I heard something move and then he spoke. "Keifer..." Percy's voice. I
looked up at Keifer but he was looking seriously at his phone. "...How are you?....Bro." I couldn't help but feel a
hint of joy in Percy's voice. His voice was very serious and there was a hint of annoyance in it. The way he said
'Bro' was also a bit emphatic. "Who's this?" Keifer quickly replied. "Oh crap! You're making me cry... You forgot
me so quickly? Has it taken you 4 years to forget your dead friend? Oh my heart! I'm in pain!" I wanted to be
annoyed by what he was saying. I didn't know if he was making fun of me or just being annoyed. "Percy?"
"Finally! I thought you'll never remember my very handsome voice." "What the hell?! I have no time for your
shit! I need to speak to Mr. Mariano. Now!" The annoyance in Keifer's voice was obvious. Percy suddenly
laughed. Even I felt annoyed by what he was doing. It was like he was playing with Keifer... or us. "Mark Keifer
Watson... You haven't changed. You're still giving orders. Thinking that you're still the King?" "Percy..." "Keifer..."
He imitated Keifer's tone of voice. "...You are already talking to Mr. Mariano." He laughed a little. Annoyed! "I'm
talking about Jay-jay's father. Not you." Percy stopped laughing. Even just recording, I could feel the tension
between the two of them. "Why do you need to talk to him? I'm here. I'm also a Mariano." "Shit! Percy! What the

could do. I once talked to David to tell him not to show himself to me. I thought he would be scared and find a
way to talk to me, but he didn't. I'm not sure if David actually told him that. Keifer kissed me on the forehead. I
looked at his face and suddenly I looked at the gate of the house. The gate opened and....shit! "Brother
Angelo..." I said and immediately bowed. I almost hit the gearshift. I slightly raised my gaze to Keifer who was
panicking at the young man's ups and downs. "Is he still there?!" I asked. "Oh-yes... Shit! I was surprised by
you. What did I just touch?" He answered me while laughing. I laughed too. It was so funny! He suddenly left
the house. He was so high. I barely caught a glimpse of him and he wasn't doing anything. He was just
standing there looking around. What was that?! Here's the problem: if he doesn't leave or go inside the house.
I can't get out of Keifer's car. He'll see me from the parking lot. "I can't get out... He'll see me." There was a hint
of pity in my voice. Suddenly Keifer started the car. I wanted to confront him but I couldn't get out of the car.
"What are we going to do?" I asked. "I'll move to your corner. Get out there." I breathed a sigh of relief at what
he said. We drove for a while and then stopped. I raised my head. We were already at the corner and I hurried
to open the door but suddenly Keifer grabbed my arm. I looked at him and noticed his gaze on the front of the
car. I looked at him too and my heart almost stopped when I saw Aries. Damn! He was staring at us. I also
saw his fist clenched. "S-Aries... I'm going to get out." I thought he was going to let go of me but his grip
tightened even more. He turned me around and smiled. "What----" I couldn't finish what I was going to say
when he suddenly kissed me on the cheek. Oh... Just the cheek? "Be careful. I love you Jay until scientists find
the end of the universe." Me? Tameme! I couldn't help but nod at what he said. Because... Kinginames!
"...What's your answer?" He asked me. "W-what... I love----Oh, you frog!" Suddenly Aries slammed the car
window. He looked at me angrily. I couldn't do anything but break free from Keifer's hold and hurriedly got out.
"You're really flirting here." He said while melting me with his gaze. He walked away. I looked at Keifer for a
moment and said goodbye. I also walked back home right after him. I thought they were going to fight and
have a fight. When we got inside, it was a good thing Brother Angelo was busy. I went straight to my room and
Ci-N opened. The idiot is all smiles! His eyebrows are still going up and down at me. He looks creepy. "How
was your conversation?" he asks me. I thought he had already forgotten that. Or maybe he was just
mentioning it earlier but I was floating? There's really an emphasis on the word 'conversation'. "I-it's fine." I
answer while grabbing some clothes. "Jay... I know I'm handsome and girls fall for me quickly." He says
raising my eyebrows. "...but you don't have to tell Keifer that I'm the one you like." What the hell?! If only my
eyebrows could have moved away from me so they could have risen even higher, it would have probably
reached the sky. "I love Ci-N... Ahihihi..." I just winced. His slap was so strong. It was obvious that the 'I love
you' last night wasn't for him. I picked up the pillow and threw it at him with all my might. That's why, he really
jumped. He just caught it and laughed at me annoyingly. "You're a fool!" I screamed and jumped towards him
with all my might. I hit him with a pillow. He just laughed. When the pillow disappeared, I pulled him with a tug.
"Ouch! Ouch!" He screamed. Impact! "Help! Jay-jay... He's going to kill me! Help!" I was even more annoyed by
what he was doing. I hit him too so he blocked his arms. Taking the opportunity, I immediately pinched his
nipple causing him to scream loudly. "Shiiiiiiittttt! Ugh!" "You're an idiot!" I said and started laughing at his
reaction. I got an instant sister from Ci-N. Even though he often teased and teased me, he was better with me.
