Jay-jay's POV


"Where have you been?" Kuya Angelo asked while looking at me from head to toe. My clothes were so wet that
it was obvious that we had been swimming or bathing. He also looked at my companions. "W-swimming----"
"Where?" He cut me off from what I was going to say. Kuya already knew that there was a small falls near
here. He used to pick me up there when he dropped me off. "At the fish pond." Ci replied, causing us all to look
at him. "Excuse me? At the fish pond?" Sir Alvin clarified. We nodded at him without thinking. Instead of telling
him that we had been bathing at the small falls and river, we might get caught. "Do you know how dirty the
water on that fish pond is?!" Kuya's voice was filled with irritation. "It's hot... We have nowhere else to go, so
let's just go there." David replied. "Clean yourselves now!" Kuya gave the order and we quickly ran back to our
site to get clothes. "Why are you in a hurry?" Yuri asked while trying to get rid of the gathered branches.
"There's Jay-jay's grumpy Kuya!" Ci-N said. Yuri and Keifer looked at each other for a moment before looking
at me. I didn't say anything. I just grabbed what I needed and ran to the CR. Since we didn't have much, I didn't
wait or line up for the shower. I quickly took a shower and got dressed. Kuya might have bumped into me and
suddenly got scolded. I also ran back to our camp site to drop off my stuff. "Why are you so panicked?" Felix
asked me. I stopped. "I have a feeling something happened. Kuya wouldn't be here if it wasn't." A big part of
me was telling me that. He could have called me on his cellphone. That's why the signal here was poor. "Think
positive Jay. Maybe your Kuya was just asking to say hello." David said. But that didn't help my feelings. I felt
completely different. "Alright... Go see your brother." Yuri said and smiled at me. I returned that smile. I walked
back to the Hall where I left Kuya Angelo talking to Sir Alvin. They were still there and this time with Aries. He
immediately looked at me with a frown when he saw me. You must be stupid! Kuya Angelo whispered
something to Sir. He nodded and walked away. He also smiled at me. When he was out of our sight, I was able
to get really close to Kuya Angelo. "W-why are you here?" I asked nervously. Kuya crossed his arms and looked
at me secretly. "Cyrus' parents called me." He said. Dead! "...He was brought to the hospital along with his
riends." I looked away. I told you so! Kuya wouldn't come here if nothing happened. Tsk! That's annoying! "Do
you have anything to do with that?" Kuya asked directly. His voice was starting to rise again. My heart also
seemed to be screaming at the force of its beating. "W-why..." "Damn it!" Kuya shouted, causing me to tremble
in fear. "...What the hell happened?!" My tongue and mouth didn't want to cooperate. It was as if they were
also scared of Kuya. I wanted to explain everything but I couldn't. "Are you being crazy again?" Aries asked
sarcastically. Crazy? Is he saying I'm crazy? For some reason I didn't understand, I was really insulted even
though it wasn't true. "I'm not crazy." I said firmly. He just grinned and pouted. It was as if he was challenging
me. If that's what he was really doing, I wouldn't hesitate to hit him. "What do you call what's happening to

bowed my head. Because I didn't know the answer. Because no matter what I did, I couldn't find an answer.

shouted at the top of his lungs. His voice was as loud as thunder. The sky was about to split open because of

me. "Did you do that?!" I shook my head slowly. "N-no----" "I did." I was cut off by someone who was about to
say something. Who? Who else? This is the King of the Snakes who likes to pounce. We both turned to him.
He was still holding his pocket while looking at us bored. "Excuse me?" Kuya turned to him irritably. "That
thing that happen to----what's his name again?" He innocently asked me. Seriously? After getting jealous, he
couldn't remember his name anymore. What a joke! "Cyrus." I replied. "Yeah. That thing that happened to
Cyrus. It was me and not Jay-jay." Kuya Angelo's eyebrows met, looking at me and then back at Keifer. "Tell
what exactly happened." Kuya ordered. "I don't know." The pest Hari
quickly replied. The shameless one was
annoyed! "What do you mean 'you don't know'?" Kuya asked incredulously. This Kumag is a piece of shit! He
was probably planning to make Kuya angry before giving the answer he was asking for. "Tss." Shutanginames!
Kuya was already in a state of shock. He was also getting angry but he was trying to calm himself down. He
probably knew this guy's behavior . "If you don't have anything sensible to say, you can leave!" Aries said
angrily to Keifer. The two of them stared at each other. They were just short of lasers fixing their eyes to make
their stares worth it. Just one of them would melt. "Keifer... I don't have time for your jokes." Kuya said calmly
but with a hint of authority. I looked at the pest Hari pleadingly. Because if he didn't intend to be serious, I
hope he wouldn't get into trouble. Kuya was getting angry at me. "I don't know what happened." He kept saying
it and sighed . "...but when we arrived, they were hurting Jay." Suddenly, he grabbed my chin to show Kuya the
part of my lip that had a bruise. He also showed me my neck that still had the mark of Cyrus' marriage. Kuya
Angelo and Aries reacted the same way. Keifer let go of my chin and faced them again. "...so I did what I
could. I took down that Cyrus." "And what are you doing in Holy Saints? I know Jay-jay needs to do something
there. What about you?" Kuya asked. "Going for a walk." He answered quickly. Nice! What a nice answer! I was
amazed. Damn! No matter how old he is, he has a tendency to be annoying. It was a pleasure to be hit by this
guy who was already punching me. I looked at Aries. I hated his clenched fist. With Kuya and them, he was
more quick to get angry. "Seriously?" Kuya asked sarcastically. "...Keifer----" "You're so stupid." Keifer said
directly, causing Aries to grab his clothes. "What did you say?!" Aries said angrily. "...what did you call my
brother?!" "Stupid." Keifer repeated what he had said earlier. Again!!! "Aries." Kuya called. "...Let him go." He
ordered but Aries didn't seem to have any intention of following. "...Now!" He immediately let go when he
heard that shout. Keifer adjusted his clothes and faced Kuya again. "You're so stupid." He repeated it again.
"...Isn't it obvious to you?! I don't know anyone from the Holy Saints. I probably went with Jay-jay." Kuya didn't
react but his gaze shifted to me. I was so scared by that look. "Why did Cyrus hurt you?" Because he's gay and
jealous of my beauty! Maybe Hari was right. He must be really stupid. Has Cyrus and I forgotten our past?
Kuya really can hit hard sometimes. It's just like Aries. And like Keifer and Yuri, as well as Percy. Inheritance

Kuya's loud sigh. I didn't know if he was angry or what. Aries didn't react but his fist was still clenched . "Even

looking at me. "Thanks for clarifying that. You can go now." Kuya waved at the two of us. I nodded and started
walking away. My every step was slow. I felt so heavy. I could feel Hari behind me. We were almost at our site
when I stopped. He stopped too and even though he didn't speak, I knew he wanted to say something. "Jay."
He called out to me. I turned to him. I didn't know if he was bored of this place or bored of facing me. "Spill it
out." He took a deep breath. "...I know you want to say or ask something." I didn't know if I was just that
obvious or if he knew it from the beginning. Either way, I didn't care. I asked him a lot. From what Freya had
told me. "I have a lot to ask you. But I want you to promise that you will answer all of my questions." My voice
was filled with pleading. He bowed. "I can't promise." I felt like he had softened at what he said. What if he
didn't answer all my questions? But my fear disappeared when he held my hand. "...but I will try my best." He
added and smiled. I couldn't help but smile back but I also grabbed his hand and squeezed it tightly. "W-did
you really hurt Freya?" I asked while looking into his eyes. He didn't move away. "I did." My chest felt tight and I
couldn't understand. He was capable of hurting a woman. Why? Isn't he still reeling from what happened to
his mother? "W-why? Why did you do that?" I couldn't help but raise my voice. I felt angry at what he did. What
he did to me was all I could understand, let alone what he did to Freya. We're not friends but even so, we're
both women. That's probably reason enough for me to have the right to be angry at what he did to her. "Freya
is my first in everything." He let go of my hand and I admit that something in my heart tingled. "...but I'm not
hers'." Freya told me that. "I accept her. Everything about her. But when I find out that she's still Yuri... That's

He suddenly laughed. I was annoyed by his reaction but somehow
I felt better.

His smile disappeared and he bowed slightly. "Because of Aries."

"Remember Mykel Mitchell?" He asked and I nodded.
"...He told me that Aries and Freya were in a relationship. He even

Why does that story sound familiar to me?

n't want it. Then when Mykel told me about them, I just thought that maybe
she really doesn't want it anymore." He forced a smile. "...so I let her go."

Aries wasn't even attacked or punched. This is a miracle!
Maybe an angel passed by that time. Or maybe
that Mykel spoke to him properly when he was upset.
"Really?"
He looked at me in surprise. "What?"
"You didn't really attack Aries?" I asked and he nodded.
"...it seems hard to believe."
"Yeah... I didn't attack him. "Mykel is the one I blamed for everything."
He said while laughing loudly.
That's it! He admitted it too!
It's really not possible that he has nothing to take back. That's Keifer Watson!
I slapped him on the arm to stop laughing. He did the same and
looked at me. He also held my hand.
"Still have questions?" He asked.
"I still have some. Freya said that Yuri just took what he wanted and then
left him. Is that true?" There was a hint of concern in my tone.
"That one... Is I don't know." I looked at him in surprise. "...
I didn't find out what happened between them----I just know

"Do you have something to ask?"
I looked at Keifer and scratched the back of my head. I was so deep in thought
, I lost myself in the fact that we were together.
"We have to go back to the site. It's getting dark!" He said
while pointing to the sky.
That's right! We had been talking for a long time. The darkness had already reached us.
"Okay. "Let's go back." I told him.
Before I could even take a step, he grabbed my arm.
I looked at him before looking at his face. He was smiling and his eyebrows were raised.
It was like I knew it already.
He snorted and confirmed my suspicion. The Fool was asking for a kiss!
"I don't want to." I quickly replied. "...it's tomorrow night."
He immediately stood up and looked at me annoyed. He was so quick to change
his expression.
"They're there, aren't they, Kuya? Maybe he'll suddenly come here...
We'll get caught." Making excuses.
"Fine." He answered annoyed and walked ahead of me.
I just laughed. It's so hard to control that, it's bad if it's too
much, maybe New Year's Eve will happen again.
Either way, I've reduced the amount of thoughts I have about him and Freya.
Some of my questions have been answered. The only one I want to
answer is Yuri's.
I know he has an explanation too.
I'm ready to listen to that.
It's still far away but I can already see the light of the bonfire and I can already hear
their noise.
When we got closer, the drunks were drinking. Laughing and teasing.

Everyone laughed loudly while looking at me.

a place to sit. I
