Genshin impact Group chat: The Redemption of The Heavenly Principles

Chapter 10: CH : 10. Mushroom bread

Bronya and Elysia walked closely behind Phanes, their steps echoing softly in the underground passage.

"You seem to know the underground very well," Bronya remarked, her curious gaze fixed on him.

Phanes responded calmly, "No. I'm just following the aura of March and the others."

Bronya tilted her head. "Aura?"

Phanes nodded. "Yes, every person has a unique aura that stems from their destiny or power. It's like a signature—something that can be sensed."

Before Bronya could ask more, a cheerful voice rang out. "Phanes, Alice, there you are!"

March, Dan Heng, Stelle, and Sampo appeared ahead, their faces lighting up at the sight of the group.

Sampo grinned. "Buddy, I thought I lost you! I was so worried," he teased.

Phanes gave a nonchalant "Hmm," clearly unimpressed.

Realizing his joke fell flat, Sampo changed the subject. "Hey, have you seen a girl with bluish-lilac hair? Name's Seele. We've been searching her."

Phanes raised his left hand, as if patting the air. Suddenly, a startled girl appeared out of thin air, letting out a surprised, "Eeeeh!"

"She's been following us for a while," Phanes explained, his cryptic tone leaving the group confused.

Once the shock wore off, Seele stood silently, throwing wary glances at Phanes. She couldn't shake her unease around him. Tasked with tracking the "overgrounder princesses," she hadn't expected to be noticed—let alone revealed so abruptly.

Seele cleared her throat and turned to Bronya. "Chief Oleg wants to see you."

"Perfect timing, Miss Seele," Sampo said, grinning. "We were just on our way to see the chief ourselves. Got room for a few more?"

"Fully booked," Seele replied curtly.

Ignoring her tone, Sampo pressed on. "Ah, well, the chief's in the market for specific talent—an urgent request. So, I'm just helping them along."

March interjected, "We're looking for a Stellaron. It's the source of all the disasters here. If we find it, we can—"

Sampo cut her off. "Aha, I'd recommend keeping that to yourselves. Miss Seele wouldn't understand, so let's save it for the chief, huh?"

Seele crossed her arms. "You're right. I don't understand it—and I don't plan on passing the message along, either. Wildfire's dealing with trouble in the Great Mine. If you want to see the chief, follow me."

The group exchanged glances and nodded. "Alright, lead the way," Stelle said.

As they walked deeper into the Great Mine, March suddenly pointed ahead. "Huh? Isn't that the doctor lady?"

"Natasha?" Seele frowned. "What's she doing here? Things must be worse than I thought."

Seele called out. "Nat! What are you doing here? Where's Oleg?"

Natasha turned, surprised. "Ah, Seele. Don't sneak around behind people's backs—it's rude."

Seele rolled her eyes. "Yeah, yeah. You've told me a thousand times."

Natasha glanced at the group before addressing Seele. "I haven't seen Oleg. The miners said he took a group further in."

"These people?" Stelle asked, confused.

Natasha sighed. "Miners and their families. They want answers from the instigators. Up ahead is a vagrant dwelling, but they've sealed it off—probably afraid the miners might seek revenge. I've heard there were injuries during the clashes, so I came to help."

Seele frowned. "How did things get so bad?"

Natasha shook her head. "The first mining team discovered a massive Geomarrow vein—largest find in thirty years. They kept it quiet, but the vagrants found out. Some local gangs started blackmailing the miners, and that was the final straw."

"The price of guarding a secret," Stelle murmured.

Natasha sighed again. "The underground's in dire straits. Anyway, are you all here to help resolve the conflict?"

Seele scoffed. "They're here because they want a favor from Oleg. I'm just escorting them." She turned to Phanes. "But seeing as we're dealing with this mess, maybe you could lend a hand first?"

Phanes glanced at her. "Don't look at me. I'm not the one to ask." He gestured to Stelle, Dan Heng, and March. "They're the ones making the decisions. I'm just helping them."

Elysia raised her hand cheerfully. "Same here! I'm just the beautiful assistant."

Seele, a bit embarrassed, turned to Stelle and the others. "Well, what do you say?"

March beamed. "Of course we want to help! We care about people, you know."

Dan Heng nodded in agreement.

Stella extended her hand toward Seele. "Sounds like a fair trade."

Seele hesitated before shaking Stella's hand. A small smile formed on her lips. "Deal."

From side Natasha helpless."As you've seen situation here is strained. If you can we would really appreciate you helping the people."

As they prepared to head deeper into the mine, Natasha noticed the blackened hand Phanes had. She stepped closer. "Mister, is your hand okay? I'm a doctor—you probably heard that from Seele—but I can tell it's not in good condition."

"Don't worry about it. It's not something that can be healed or fixed," Phanes replied, glancing at her before looking at his hand again.

"I see," Natasha murmured. It seemed like an unknown illness. Why are there so many mysterious ailments? As a doctor, she hated these kinds of things.

With that, Phanes and the rest continued onward.

Up ahead, Elysia, still holding Stelle's hand, suddenly pointed. "That person over there… is he asleep?"

"It seems so," March said.

Seele hurried ahead. "Let's check on him—he might need help."

They approached the person lying on the ground.

"Snore…"

March blinked. "Huh. He's actually asleep."

Seele groaned. "Not again. How can he be such an idiot?"

Dan Heng looked from the sleeping figure to Seele. "You know him?"

"Unfortunately, yes," Seele sighed. "Let me introduce you—this is Peake. He falls asleep anywhere, anytime, which makes people worry. The first time I met him, he was asleep covered in ketchup—I thought someone had killed him."

March stared in amazement. "Falling asleep in a place like this is… impressive."

She grinned and said, "Wakey-wakey! You've got mushrooms growing on your head."

Peake jolted awake in surprise. He touched his head and mumbled, "Hm...? Wha—mushroom bread...? I can't see it on me..."

As he became more alert, he looked at Seele. "Miss Seele?"
