Chapter 380: Chapter 380: The Girls (2-in-1 Chapter)
"—Waaah! Don't fly so fast! I'm going to fall off!"
In the vast expanse of the sky, two figures soared through the clouds, leaving a white streak behind them. They stood atop a flying sword, resembling sword masters from legendary tales of flight.
Nolan stood with his hands clasped behind his back, watching Yoimiya in front of him. She was spreading her arms to maintain balance but still wobbled precariously. Unable to contain himself, he let out a couple of chuckles.
"What are you laughing at, you jerk? Be careful, or I'll hit you!"
Yoimiya crouched down and pressed her hands against the sword to steady herself. Turning her head back, she glared at Nolan with a mixture of irritation and embarrassment.
"Ahem, maybe the reason you can't balance properly is because the grip of your geta sandals on the sword isn't strong enough. It's definitely not your fault!"
Nolan decided to offer Yoimiya a plausible excuse to save face.
"Eh? That makes sense."
Yoimiya paused, her expression momentarily blank, before nodding in agreement. She retracted her geta sandals into her Vision and placed her feet—clad in asymmetrical black stockings—lightly onto the sword.
The cold, smooth surface beneath her feet felt surprisingly stable, much more so than when she had been wearing her wooden sandals.
Raising her hand for balance, Yoimiya slowly stood upright.
Realizing she could now stand steadily without being toppled by the rushing wind, she glanced down at the golden clouds below, illuminated by the setting sun, then looked up again and exclaimed:
"Wow, it's so beautiful! I never knew it was always sunny above the clouds!"
[Yoimiya Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 220 Affection Points. Current Affection Level: Lv.4 (250/400)]
"It's pretty spectacular," Nolan agreed.
Back on Earth, he'd never had the chance to fly on a plane, so scenes like this were something he had only seen on TV.
He would never have imagined that one day he'd be able to personally soar through the clouds on a sword.
Feeling a spark of mischief, Nolan said, "Hold on tight, Yoimiya. I'm going to speed up!"
"Alright, but don't go too fast," Yoimiya replied, having grown accustomed to the feeling of standing on a flying sword. She thought a bit more speed wouldn't be a problem.
Hearing this, Nolan's lips curled into a sly smile.
He channeled his immense mental energy into the Moonlight Greatsword, drastically accelerating their flight. The sword's speed increased several times over in an instant.
"Ahh!"
Caught off guard by the sudden burst of speed, Yoimiya lost her balance and fell backward. Reflexively, she grabbed onto Nolan, who was standing behind her.
With her soft, fragrant form leaning into him, Nolan instinctively wrapped his arms around her, his hands resting on her delicate back.
"Why did you suddenly go so fast?!" Yoimiya complained as she clung to his arms, attempting to sit back up.
However, something unexpected happened.
Nolan didn't let go of her. Instead, he kept his arms firmly around her, making no effort to release her.
Realizing this, a faint blush spread across Yoimiya's fair cheeks.
In a low voice, she muttered, "What are you doing? Let go of me already."
What's wrong with this guy? How can he just hold onto a girl like this for so long? Doesn't he know that's improper?!
"To prevent you from falling off when I speed up again, it's better if you hold onto me like this," Nolan said, offering an excuse while preparing to accelerate once more.
As the wind rushing toward them intensified, Yoimiya found it impossible to stand steadily. She had no choice but to cling to Nolan to remain on the sword.
Even though his explanation made sense, Yoimiya couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't quite right.
High above the clouds, Nolan flew toward Inazuma City with Yoimiya in his arms. Along the way, they encountered a few flying monsters capable of reaching such altitudes.
However, since these monsters were of a relatively low level and only yielded about 100 Adventure EXP upon defeat, Nolan chose to ignore them.
The golden clouds gradually turned dim, and by the time the silver moon hung in the sky, they had finally reached the vicinity of Inazuma City.
Nolan didn't dare fly directly into the city on his sword, fearing that the Raiden Shogun might mistake him for an enemy and draw her sword to strike him down on the spot.
Instead, he landed the Moonlight Greatsword a few hundred meters outside the city.
"Phew, finally here. You did that on purpose, didn't you? Flying so fast just to take advantage of me!"
Jumping off the sword, Yoimiya summoned her geta sandals mid-air and slipped them back on before landing. Hands on her hips, she stared at Nolan with an expression of mild annoyance.
At first, she couldn't quite figure it out. But after recalling how his hands had occasionally slid over her back during the flight, she realized he had been taking advantage of her!
How shameless!
"No way, you've got it all wrong, Yoimiya! Sword-riding techniques require special seals to maintain speed. I wasn't intentionally holding you or touching you—it was just an accident while forming the seals!"
Nolan tried to defend himself.
His swordsmanship was nothing more than brute-force telekinesis—using mental power to forcibly lift and fling objects around. It wasn't true swordsmanship in any sense.
Yoimiya didn't really understand this, and although she still harbored some suspicions, she couldn't find any evidence to refute his claims. Reluctantly, she decided to believe him for now:
"Really? Fine, I'll grudgingly believe you."
In truth, she didn't care too much about this. After all, she had a rather favorable impression of Nolan. Even being hugged by him didn't make her feel any resentment or discomfort.
"That's great. The sky's already getting dark, so let's hurry into the city," Nolan said, steering the conversation elsewhere.
"Hmm, alright. Once we're back at the Naganohara Fireworks Shop, stay for dinner. Let me treat you as thanks for today. Tomorrow, I'll take you all to explore Inazuma City. Oh, by the way, will Lumine and Paimon be back by then?"
Yoimiya asked as she walked ahead.
"Dinner? Sure, sounds good," Nolan nodded, indicating he had no objections.
He briefly checked the progress of construction inside the "Wonderland" and noted how quickly Lumine's Geo abilities had advanced things. It was nearly complete. After a moment of thought, he replied:
"As for Lumine and Paimon, they should be back tomorrow."
"Perfect! As your guide, I promised to show everyone around Inazuma City. We can't have anyone missing!" Yoimiya said confidently, folding her arms with satisfaction.

At the Naganohara Fireworks Shop
It wasn't long before they arrived at Yoimiya's home—the Naganohara Fireworks Shop. Nolan met her family there, who warmly welcomed him.
Her family was so enthusiastic that they went out of their way to purchase fresh ingredients to prepare a grand dinner for him.
In return, Nolan decided to summon his Lumine's Sword God from the Abyss. He directed "her" to activate the golden Windwheel Aster Barrier, creating a healing field around Yoimiya's family.
Those with ailments found themselves cured, while those in good health received a wellness boost. It was Nolan's way of expressing his gratitude.
Yoimiya was touched by the gesture, and her affection for him subtly increased:

Nolan glanced at the affection notification on his character panel and felt quite satisfied. He could always send the Sword God back to the Abyss later, but opportunities to gain affection points like this were rare.
After dinner, Nolan chatted with Yoimiya for a bit before leaving the Naganohara Fireworks Shop and returning to his Wonderland.

Upgrades to the Wonderland
By this point, the Wonderland's renovations were complete.
The dome-shaped, 100-square-meter space was now divided into three floor:
- First Floor: The living area remained mostly unchanged, except that Mona's laboratory had been relocated, and several new rooms had been added. The rooms formed a circular layout surrounding a central living room, creating a dedicated residential zone.
- Second Floor: This was now the research area. Mona's lab had been moved here, and new laboratories for Lisa and Sucrose had been built as well. The zone was equipped with various instruments and tools.
- Third Floor: The smallest of the three, this served as a storage space. Shelves were installed here to function as a warehouse, and Nolan's small adventure boat, purchased earlier, was also stored here.
Going forward, all valuable items acquired during their adventures—or any purchases—would be stored in this layer.
The new layout made life in the Wonderland much more convenient.
---
"Women really are better at managing things," Nolan mused with a sigh. "If it were up to me, I'd probably just settle for whatever was livable."
The upgraded Wonderland now felt like a portable luxury mansion.
Still, the space—just over 100 square meters—felt a bit small. In the future, as it expanded, he planned to add features like a swimming pool, hot springs, a beach area, a lawn, and even a small grove for leisure and relaxation.
To achieve all that, he estimated he'd need at least 200 square meters—and even then, he'd have to go for "miniature" versions.
This goal, however, didn't seem too difficult.
Although his own progress had slowed now that he'd reached level 90, Sucrose's power was still relatively low. By working closely with her, her strength would skyrocket, which would also lead to the Wonderland expanding further.
As he imagined the possibilities, Nolan's mood lifted.
---
Just as Nolan was surveying the upgraded Wonderland, Lisa's voice rang out:
"So, little adventurer, you're finally back! What do you think of the changes here? Are you satisfied?"
Lisa, lounging on the sofa in the living room with a cup of tea in hand, smiled at him.
"Of course! It's perfect. Thank you for all your hard work," Nolan replied with a smile.
"Hmph! My opinion was to build a castle! This boring style is completely unbefitting of this Princess!"
Fischl crossed her arms and huffed in displeasure.
It was clear that her suggestion to build a castle had been rejected during the renovations, and she was still a bit upset about it.
But given the limited space in the Wonderland, building a castle was impractical—only the "Prinzessin der Verurteilung" herself could dream up such an idea. Even if Lumine could construct one, it would waste too much space.
"Ha ha! It seems our princess has made a great sacrifice for everyone's sake. Truly touching," Nolan teased as he walked over, wrapping an arm around Fischl's shoulders and gently rubbing his cheek against hers to comfort her.
"Y-You fool! Why are you rubbing against me? You're all sweaty!"
Fischl's cheeks turned slightly red, and she darted off toward the bathroom in embarrassment.
Nolan chuckled. With elemental energy, it was easy to stay clean—he didn't even sweat. Fischl was just being shy.
"Goodness, little adventurer, it seems you've been rejected," Lisa teased with a sly smile, sipping her tea.
"Well, I'll be off to take a bath too," she added, standing gracefully and walking away.
Before Lisa teleported away, she gave him a playful wink.
Nolan immediately understood her meaning—wasn't this an invitation to meet her at her dorm for a private rendezvous? Earlier that morning, she had even teased him about whether he'd dare if Jean were around!
Why wouldn't he dare? If Jean caught them, they could just face the consequences together.
Nolan's mind started racing.
The problem now was that he was still in Inazuma. If he teleported back to Mondstadt without someone carrying a "Waymark" in Inazuma, he wouldn't be able to return.
He couldn't exactly tell Lumine, "Hey, I'm going to have a private moment with Lisa. Could you stay here in Inazuma?"
Nolan wasn't shameless enough to do something like that!
So what now? His thoughts flicked through the list of girls who had "Waymarks" until he stopped at La Signora.
Oh, rightLa Signora! He had almost forgotten about her.
Was she still in Inazuma? Nolan quickly reached out to her in his mind, and soon enough, he received her reluctant reply.
She was indeed still in Inazuma City, continuing her plans on behalf of the Fatui.
Tch, it seemed the Fatui weren't giving up on causing trouble even without the Delusion Factory. Their obsession with the Gnosis was still alive and well. Tomorrow, when he teleports back, he'd have to ask her what was going on.
But for now... it was time to meet up with Lisa! A playful grin spread across Nolan's face.
"What's with that creepy smile all of a sudden?"
Across from him, Mona stared warily at Nolan. She instinctively crossed her arms over her chest, thinking he might finally make a move on her.
"Ahem, nothing. I just thought you looked adorable."
Nolan stood up and walked over to Mona, the sight of her defensiveness making him want to tease her even more.
"Ah! What are you doing?!"
Seeing him approach, Mona panicked, convinced he really was about to make his move. She quickly grabbed Sucrose, who was sitting nearby. Startled by the sudden hug, Sucrose let out a cute "Ah!" and instinctively clung to Lumine.
Lumine, putting down her teacup, gave Nolan a deadpan look, as if to say, Could you not?
But there was no stopping him.
Nolan cupped Mona's, Sucrose's, and Lumine's faces in turn, planting a kiss on each of their lips.
Even Paimon, watching from the sidelines, was so embarrassed she covered her face and hid behind the sofa.
As expected of a shameless playboy. He's so bold!
After finishing his mischief, Nolan made no further moves. Instead, he sat down between Mona and Sucrose, putting an arm around both of them, and grinned.
"I'm staying over at Lisa's place tonight. Don't get jealous, okay?"
"W-Who cares where you spend the night, you idiot!" Mona crossed her arms and turned away, her cheeks flushed red.
Sucrose shook her head. She had long since come to terms with the fact that Nolan had close relationships with many women. She didn't mind where he went.
Lumine, however, huffed indignantly, expressing her discontent.
"Heh heh!"
Nolan was in high spirits, pleased with how tolerant they were of him.
He leaned over to plant another kiss on Lumine's and Sucrose's cheeks before turning back to Mona. Once again, he gently cupped her face and kissed her soft lips deeply.
This time, Sucrose blushed furiously, while Lumine could only sigh in exasperation.
Caught off guard by the sudden kiss, Mona's hands weakly patted at Nolan's chest, as if unsure whether to resist or give in.
After a few long moments, Nolan suddenly vanished.
Mona finally managed to catch her breath. Then, realizing he had already arrived at Lisa's, she muttered, "Jerk!" under her breath. He always loved teasing her!
