Genshin Impact: I spread the Pokemon to Teyvat

Chapter 18: Chapter 18

Ningguang's interest only grew stronger as she observed the obedient behavior of the Growlithe.

"Are all 'pets' this obedient?"

Hongyi coughed slightly. "Actually, not exactly."

"Firstly, I should clarify that Growlithe isn't just a 'pet'; it's a Pokémon."

"Club Manager Takumi explained that there are currently 905 known species of Pokémon... Growlithe is a loyal, canine-type Pokémon known for its honesty and strong attachment to humans. It's extremely loyal to its trainer and will follow any command without hesitation."

Hongyi proceeded to report everything he saw and heard at the Pokémon House, detailing every aspect as meticulously as he would a military report.

He spoke for half an hour, while Ningguang and her three secretaries stood by, listening with growing intrigue.

From the initial Pokémon that Chef Xiangling contracted—a bug-type—to the impressive training room, which appeared to be accessible via a portal-like entrance, each detail added to their curiosity. Hongyi even described the Moo Moo Milk, Berries, and energy cubes, though they paled in comparison to the store's black-tech wonders like spatial gates, advanced healing devices, and Poké Balls.

"These are the four Poké Balls," Hongyi said, retrieving them from his pocket. Under Ningguang's fascinated gaze, he gently pressed the switch on the white commemorative ball, causing it to expand in his hand. He then aimed it at Growlithe, who tilted its head curiously.

A red light enveloped Growlithe, and it vanished into the Poké Ball.

"This is how you capture a Pokémon," Hongyi explained. "Now, come on out, Growlithe."

Without throwing the ball, he pressed the switch again. After a flash of light, Growlithe reappeared, sitting exactly as it had before, as if nothing had happened. It shook itself and resumed licking its fur, unfazed by the brief moment in the Poké Ball.

Ningguang, after a moment of silence, descended the steps and crouched in front of Growlithe. The little dog's eyes sparkled as it gazed up at her, tilting its head slightly. With a bark, it happily wagged its tail.

"Woo woo~~"

Ningguang's lips curved into a slight smile as she reached out, rubbing Growlithe's head affectionately. Realizing herself, she quickly withdrew, standing up and composing herself, her expression calm.

"I sense a strong fire element within this creature."

"Ah, so Lady Ningguang's interest isn't merely about cute pets; she's doing serious research!" Hongyi thought, feeling reassured.

"This is the Pokédex provided to each guest," he continued, offering her the tablet with information about his Growlithe.

However, Ningguang gently pushed it back. "I'm occupied for now."

She looked back at Hongyi, her tone decisive. "Your next task… is to take me to that store!"

The three secretaries exchanged glances, catching the determination in her voice.

"Let's go. The rest of the official duties can wait," Ningguang commanded, striding forward without a second glance.

"If any of you are also interested in contracting a creature with elemental powers… this might be your chance."

Her words instantly rekindled hope in Baiwen, Baixiao, and Baishi. Unable to attain Visions themselves, they couldn't deny the appeal of a creature that could channel elemental energy. The mere possibility of accessing supernatural powers filled their eyes with excitement.

At the Pokémon House…

Hu Tao and Xiangling were impossible to dismiss, even after repeated attempts. Takumi's plan to relax and catch up on his shows was foiled. Adapting to the circumstances, he pulled out a gaming console and set up a Pokémon racing game similar to Super Mario Kart.

The three of them, along with Cresselia (who joined through telekinesis), dove into a four-way competition.

"Manager Takumi is too skilled!" Hu Tao complained after another loss. "Why are you always in the top three?!"

"Hey, maybe it's your Pokémon who need some training," Takumi teased, smirking as Hu Tao fumed.

"Come on, let's play another round!" Xiangling and Hu Tao ganged up on Takumi, one on each side, urging him to play one more game.

"You two are addicted! No more!" Takumi chuckled, shaking his head.

Hu Tao's eyes sparkled with a mischievous thought. "Takumi, are these gaming consoles available for sale? If you won't play with me, I'll just buy one myself!"

Xiangling's enthusiasm was instantly renewed. "Yes! I want one too! Guoba can play with me at home!"

Takumi's eyebrow twitched in sympathy for Guoba, the innocent companion of Xiangling, who would likely be dragged into her gaming escapades.
