Genshin Impact: Starting from Liyue to Build Infrastructure

Chapter 453: Chapter 453

Although Takumi wanted to choose Yelan, whether Yelan would agree was another matter. So Ningguang still had to ask.

"Let me discuss it with Yelan first. If she agrees, then she can be the Tianshu Star. Then, let Zhiyi be her assistant. I'll go back and pick someone now, and you can send me the blank Vision."

After pondering for a while, Ningguang gave this suggestion.

Hearing what Ningguang said, Takumi had no objection. This was naturally the best course of action.

After discussing many things with Takumi, Ningguang left. Now that she had an answer, she could go back and arrange everything. Tianshu's retirement was a foregone conclusion, and the next step was to arrange for Yelan to become the new Tianshu.

After sending Ningguang away, Takumi also got up and left the General Affairs Department. He was heading to the pharmaceutical factory to check on the progress. He wondered if the herbs cultivated by Sucrose were ready for harvest. Perhaps, the power of the Herrscher of the Forest could also be useful. Now that he had the ability to accelerate plant growth, some things could be done ahead of schedule.

Takumi opened a portal and arrived at Qingce Village. The place was bustling with activity. The roads had been repaired, and several machines had been delivered. Construction teams were also preparing to build houses, indicating that preparations for land reclamation and farming had begun.

After surveying the area, Takumi quickly moved to the medicinal garden. Inside, several workers were tending to the herbs. The plants had already started to grow. Seeing Takumi, the workers greeted him respectfully.

Takumi looked at the garden and turned to the nearest worker. "Has there been any estimate on when these herbs will fully mature?"

Hearing Takumi's question, the worker quickly responded, "Master Takumi! Miss Sucrose said the herbs will be ready for harvest in about half a month. Only when the time is right will the medicinal properties be optimal."

Takumi nodded in understanding. "Then let's start preparing for the harvest."

The workers were stunned for a moment, but Takumi immediately put his words into action. He activated the Herrscher's power, accelerating the growth of the surrounding plants. The herbs rapidly matured before their eyes.

At the same time, Sucrose sensed the sudden surge of Dendro energy. Startled, she hurried toward the source. When she arrived, she was astonished to see the herbs, which should have taken weeks to grow, now fully matured.

"Takumi?" she called, noticing him among the workers. Could it be that Takumi was responsible for this?

Takumi nodded and said, "Sucrose, you came just in time. These herbs are ready for harvest. The pharmaceutical factory can now be put to use."

Sucrose hesitated before replying, "I just received the blueprints for the extraction machine... but I haven't sent them to the alchemy workshop for production yet. Also, the bottles for the medicine aren't ready."

Takumi paused. "Ah… this is awkward. But never mind, give me the blueprints. I'll handle it."

"By the way, have you developed any new medicines? If the seeds are ready, they can be planted today. Also, I obtained a lot of herbal transformation techniques from Sumeru. I'll share them with you later."

As he spoke, Takumi suddenly paused. There were many renowned botanists in Sumeru, and their herbal medicines were well known. Some were even formulated for specific ailments, though the effectiveness varied. If Sucrose could enhance them, perhaps they could achieve even better results.

Sucrose's eyes lit up. "That sounds great! But first, let's finish the immediate tasks."

She ran off to fetch the blueprints while the workers began harvesting the herbs. Takumi decided to expedite the process by accelerating the next batch of seeds.

Not long after, Sucrose returned with the blueprints. These were designs she had drawn herself. Although she wasn't an expert in machinery, she had sketched a basic idea, likely expecting the alchemy workshop to refine the design.

Takumi examined the blueprints and commented, "This is a bit crude. Let me enhance it for you. After you finish harvesting the herbs, meet me at the pharmaceutical factory."

After giving instructions, Takumi left for the factory. On his way, he reminded the workers to gather and transport the herbs.

The pharmaceutical factory was essentially a large warehouse. Once inside, Takumi began constructing the necessary production line using the power of the Herrscher of Reason. Before long, a fully automated production line filled most of the facility.

Sucrose, who had just arrived, was stunned by the sight.

Takumi walked her through the process. "First, all collected herbs must be washed. I'll handle the cleaning. Once cleaned, place them on this conveyor belt. The machine will handle the extraction, processing, bottling, labeling, and packaging."

Listening carefully, Sucrose nodded. This was a remarkable piece of engineering. Once operational, the pharmaceutical factory could mass-produce medicine at an unprecedented rate.

Takumi ensured that all necessary components, including bottles and cleaning stations, were in place. By the time he finished, the harvested herbs had arrived. Workers immediately began the cleaning process and prepared the first batch of potions.

These medicines required no additional ingredients—only the pure essence of the herbs extracted from the plants.
