Chapter 85: Chapter 85

"I'm fine."

Kael gently pushed away Baizhu's hand, steadying himself.

For some reason, the way this man kept inspecting him closely made Kael feel distinctly uncomfortable.

Even after being pushed away, Baizhu still wore his usual gentle, smiling expression.

"Miss Yanfei asked me to take good care of you before she left. Mr. Kael, I'd like to examine your condition first."

Kael nodded.

Baizhu focused his examination primarily on Kael's head.

He was genuinely curious.

How could someone who had been unconscious just last night wake up again the next morning?

He carefully examined Kael's head again and again, trying to find some clue, but even after a lengthy inspection, he found nothing.

Kael felt like Baizhu had nearly rubbed his head bald and finally couldn't help but speak up.

"Doctor Baizhu, are you finished yet?"

Baizhu, who had been deep in thought, snapped back to reality. "Hmm? Oh... yes, it's finished."

Baizhu glanced at Kael's face again and noticed he seemed even paler today than yesterday.

"Are you feeling any discomfort?"

"I had a headache when I woke up, but it's better now," Kael replied honestly.

"Alright," Baizhu nodded. "I'll need to consult some ancient medical texts today regarding your condition. If you feel unwell, you can call our shop attendant to help."

After saying that, he turned toward the door and called out, "Qiqi."

A small girl with purple hair wearing a long robe slowly shuffled into the room.

"Ah?" Her expression looked rather dull as she slowly asked, "Hmm...? Did someone call me?"

"Qiqi, this is Mr. Kael. He'll be staying at Bubu Pharmacy for a while. Could you please take care of him?"

Qiqi pulled out a small notebook from her robes, writing slowly, "Oh... okay... take care of Mr. Kael..."

After arranging for Qiqi to stay, Baizhu quickly left the room.

Qiqi stared at the note she'd just written, tilting her head slightly, confusion in her eyes. "Take care of... Mr. Kael...? Who is Mr. Kael?"

Kael, sitting helplessly on the bed, sighed gently. "I'm Kael."

"Oh... Then, please wait a moment..."

Qiqi slowly shuffled out of the room. After a while, she came back holding a cup filled with a white liquid.

"Taking care... so, here is some milk from the Cocogoat... It's really tasty..."

"I don't—" Kael was about to refuse, but seeing Qiqi's expressionless face hiding an expectant look, he reluctantly took the cup and drank a sip.

Hmm?

Cocogoat milk?

Isn't this just regular coconut milk?

After finishing the drink, Kael noticed Qiqi staring straight at him, as if eagerly awaiting his evaluation.

He had no choice but to say, "Mm, it's very tasty."

"Yes... coconut milk is really tasty..."

"Mr. Kael... is there anything else you need?"

"Anything I need...?"

Ever since he'd woken up, he'd been confined to his bed due to his legs. He desperately wanted to leave this room, to go outside and check on everyone aboard the Alcor.

Seeing Qiqi's clear, innocent gaze, Kael unconsciously spoke his thoughts aloud.

"Sure," Qiqi nodded slowly.

Kael gave a bitter smile. "But my legs..."

Before he could finish, he suddenly found himself lifted into Qiqi's arms!

Qiqi was petite, while Kael was tall and long-legged.

When Qiqi held him, his legs dragged awkwardly across the floor.

Seeing Kael's stunned expression, Qiqi asked slowly, "Mr. Kael, where would you like to go?"

"Huh? I'd like to visit the Alcor."

"Okay."

And just like that, Kael was carried all the way to the Alcor by Qiqi.

Throughout the entire journey, his legs continuously dragged along the ground.

But since he had completely lost feeling in his lower body, he didn't feel any pain from being dragged this way.

Besides, he already felt embarrassed enough being carried by a small girl like Qiqi, so he didn't dare raise any objections.

Thus, the two arrived at the Alcor in this awkward princess-carry position.

As soon as they boarded the ship, several crewmates immediately noticed Kael and quickly came forward.

"Kael, you're back?"

"How are you feeling now?"

"We wanted to visit you, but Captain Beidou said you needed rest."

Kael scanned the faces of his crewmates, noticing many familiar faces missing. His heart ached again.

Suddenly, the crew surrounding him shouted out in horror.

"Kael! Blood! You're bleeding!"

Blood began pouring uncontrollably from Kael's eyes, nose, and ears.

"What...?" As soon as he opened his mouth to speak, blood sprayed out from between his lips.
