Get Ahead of the Fallen Heroine and Make the Bull-Headed Man the Victim

chapter 206

Chapter 206. Princess’s Two-Faced Persona (19)

Clotilde, having left Horace’s office, soon headed back out.

She planned to operate solo again, to see if she could find any leads on the incubus she was looking for.

Clotilde figured since she ran into Doreen, maybe she’d run into the incubus who attacked her before.

Incubi were all lone wolves, so asking Doreen if she knew any others was pointless, which is why Clotilde didn’t ask at the time.

Watching the Sister-lady busily collecting intel again, Noa decided to show his face to the Princess.

It was around three in the afternoon.

Valentina had heard about mutated demonic beasts appearing in the western part of the kingdom from the Adventurer’s Association.

So, she’d teleported to a ‘dungeon’ somewhere in the west to solo-hunt the beast.

According to the intel, this beast was a demonic flower that hid in the thick forest, disguising itself and luring curious adventurers closer before preying on them.

Supposedly, a dozen adventurers had been sacrificed to get this info, and even the common folk were in a panic, it was officially considered a threat to the kingdom.

Though the other royals were all for having the local lord send out knights to take it down in a group, Valentina insisted on going herself.

That’s because she felt like this was a great opportunity to meet her beloved God in the wild.

Killing the beast was just a side quest; mostly she wanted to see Noa.

This forest was somewhat similar to the hidden realm where Valentina had previously encountered the dragon species, though the types of monsters were totally different.

But, for the Princess as she was now, these monsters were no threat at all.

When there were no prying eyes, the Princess could fully unleash her dragon power.

And every time she used that power to exterminate a monster, the Princess could feel her God’s doting affection.

Honestly, if she wasn’t still hiding her feelings, she’d laugh out loud, so the whole world could know that she was being adored by her God.

“Yo, Princess, you look like you’re in a good mood. Is the dragon power I gave you that useful?”

Her caution was clearly justified, because her most beloved God had indeed appeared.

Gazing at that black figure that still made her heart race no matter how many times she looked, the Princess coolly brushed a hand through her long hair and said blandly,

“Hm, it’s useful, definitely increases efficiency. So, what brings the God here? Don’t tell me you’re trying to stop me from taking down the monster.”

Valentina, of course, knew that wasn’t possible. No matter how much Noa tried to annoy her, he always ended up helping her in the end.

Long experience had proven that.

She was saying it just to tease and get back at Noa.

She was a follower of a Evil God, after all; surely the God wouldn’t mind her being a little rebellious, a little naughty?~

“Heh, I’m bored of that stuff. I just came to follow you, got a problem with that?”

Noah leaned back against a thick tree, a lazy and infuriatingly flippant figure, casting a provocative gaze at Valentina.

Just like he’d said, he was just doing his ‘daily quest’ to tank his reputation.

“…No objections, follow if you want.”

After saying that, the princess acted as if Noah didn’t exist, walking past him on the path with an icy expression.

Seeing the princess’ reaction, Noah also felt that things might not be going so well.

Since the heroine was already used to this level of ‘teasing,’ maybe Noah really should consider ramping up the intensity of pissing her off.

What if the princess thought this evil god was nothing special, not even worth the effort to seal? How would he cultivate her confidence then?

Only after this evil god was defeated by the princess, would she grow into her full potential.

But what should he do today?

Noah walked not too far behind Valentina, pondering how to unfold the prelude to the ‘Evil God Sealing Incident’.

“Hmm? What’s wrong? Princess, did you stop suddenly because you want to apologize to me?”

Not sure how far they’d walked, Valentina, who was just ahead, stopped abruptly.

Noticing this, Noah also quickly halted.

But his following statement was totally illogical, demanding an apology out of the blue.

It startled the princess’ heart, making it beat faster. She’d thought Noah was demanding she apologize for swapping places with the priestess princess.

But when she saw Noah’s expression, she realized it was just a random comment, he hadn’t found out.

Otherwise, his expression wouldn’t be so relaxed.

—*Hah,* that god of mine… even without realizing it, you can make my heart race. You truly are my god~❤.

Noah didn’t know that his random jab had made the princess’ already overflowing affection for him increase a little more.

Because even though her heart was racing, the princess’ expression was still icy as she spoke.

“Apologize? I haven’t done anything wrong, why should I apologize?”

—I’m sorry~❤, my god, the truth is that I did deceive you, but if you’d been paying more attention to me, it wouldn’t have happened, so it’s still your fault~❤.

The princess’ cold expression hid her fervent feelings, but she concealed them well.

“So, why did you stop? Scared? Wanna go back? Ah, that’s right, it’s a demon flower after all, it must have tons of tentacle-like vines~”

Noah spread his hands, a malicious grin on his lips, convinced he was making the princess dislike him.

“How vulgar, do you want to see me tied up?”

And Valentina did show signs of disgust, folding her arms, knitting her brows, her face showing aversion, as if she truly loathed Noah.

“Haha, I didn’t originally, but now that you mention it, I suddenly do!”

Yes! I just love that look of disgust from you, Princess!

It was as if he had some special fetish, the sight of the silver-haired, black-stockinged beauty’s gaze of aversion actually excited Noah.

“Ugh, you’re a mess… If you’re so desperate to be tied up, go do it yourself, I’m not playing along.”

Though the princess turned her head away, a look of disgust on her face, making it clear she wouldn’t indulge him.

But deep down, she was already thinking about letting herself get deliberately captured, just to give Noah a good show.

As if sensing the princess’s contradictory thoughts, the demon flower, still out of sight, quietly sent a tendril creeping towards them.

Once it was close enough, the tendril suddenly sped up like a snake, attacking and binding its target before pulling it backwards in a preparatory move for some more humiliating defeat play.

The only problem was, it hadn’t grabbed the princess, but Noah.

Noah, bound around the waist, didn’t even bother rolling his eyes, but looked utterly speechless.

What the hell was going on?

Why him and not the princess?

Who the hell would be happy with a bondage play on some guy?!

PS. Fifth update for today! A rare five-update day! It’s almost the end of the month, please vote for me!

(Yes, I actually got delayed from midnight to 7:30 am by accident. I said I’d fix my night owl updates, and now I’ve become a morning updater by doing this, it’s just hilarious. But hey, dear reader, you gotta admit, 7:30 am is a pretty decent update time!)
