Chapter 471: Talented Alchemists
Gasps of shock and amazement echoed through the arena. This was the first time anyone outside the royal family was allowed in the Royal Arena.
Not just the civilians, but even the noble families who had yet to see the area were shocked by its grandeur.
"What a sight!"
"To think there was something so exceptional in the Royal Palace!"
"Welcome everyone, to the Tournament Of Talents!" Hearing the booming voice of the three old men, the hearts of the people sitting in the audience shook.
The aura of these supervisors resonated with the energy of heaven and earth, creating an ethereal atmosphere for the audience.
Everything they saw was the product of the arena; not a single cultivator used their techniques to make it happen.
"Missing your bed already?" Captain Black Sword shivered, hearing a voice coming from right beside him.

He turned his head slowly only to see Noah standing there leisurely as if he was not even worried about the contest.
"Greetings, fellow Daoist," he nodded at Noah as a form of greeting before adding, "I merely don't like loud noises. I prefer calm and silent places."
"Places where there is no one to disturb your sleep?" Noah teased once more but got no reaction from the captain.
"Well, if you perform well in this event, who knows, maybe Wuhan will give you a big holiday at the edge of the empire." Noah's interaction with the captain started to gather attention from the people.
They wondered if he was trying to get some information or bribe the captain.
"I heard there is a beach and an endless sea at the edge of the Feng Empire; now that is a beautiful place to rest." Hearing Noah's words instantly piqued the straw hat captain's interest.
His eyes gleamed with a sharp light before a hint of determination appeared in them.
His sudden change in demeanor puzzled Wuhan, who was also watching their interaction from his room.
"We three Zhang brothers are Rank 5 Alchemists of the Feng Empire!" The eldest brother of the three supervisors stood in the middle of the air above the centermost stage.
His two brothers floated over the two small stages to his sides.
Hearing the introduction of the three brothers, a cacophony of gossip surged through the audience.
"So those are the infamous Zhang brothers?"
"I have heard about them. They were born with a high aptitude for Alchemy. At a young age, they were taken in by the royal alchemist as their disciples."
"Indeed, they have been in the royal family for a long time and have been loyal to the throne!"
"It's a pity they could not break through the barrier of the Rank 6 alchemist after their master died of old age."
"It's only natural; without proper guidance, it is very difficult to advance in alchemy."
These people looked at the three brothers with reverence, pity, and even admiration. Their devotion, loyalty, and character were something very rare in the modern world.
"Without taking any more of your time, I will announce the rules of the tournament!" Zhang Yi, the oldest one of the three, exclaimed loudly, causing the muttering in the crowd to die down.
The natural charisma of the three brothers forced the audience to keep their attention on them.
"First and foremost, I will make it clear that this tournament is to seek out the best of the best. Everyone gathered has a great future as an alchemist if they continue working as they have until now." Saying that he looked at the young alchemists gathered on the stage with a look of satisfaction on his face, and the crowd broke into loud cheers.
Some of the participants were exhilarated to hear the words of Zhang Yi; his simple words made a name for them instantly.
It was indeed a good choice for them to participate in this tournament.
"For the competition, we have decided to create a single stage for those who are still in the Qi phase!"
"Third brother Zhang San will look over the first test of the alchemists of Rank 1 to Rank 3!"
"Second brother will look over the first test of the alchemists of Rank 4!"
His words caused the hearts of the people in the crowd to tremble.
"There are Rank 4 alchemists in this bunch of youngsters? What talent!"
"I heard they are all under 30 years of age. Rank 4 alchemists under 30 years of age, what a rare sight!"
The crowd immediately became restless, hearing that they were fortunate enough to see a Rank 4 Alchemist in their lives.
Rank 4 alchemists, although not that rare, had extremely high status; not everyone had the chance to see them, let alone meet them.
Just as they were getting over this shock, Zhang Yi dropped another piece of news like a bomb on them.
"Originally, we thought that at most we would receive Rank 4 alchemists, but who would have thought heaven would bless our Feng Empire and send two Rank 5 Alchemists!"
"What?!"
"Did I hear it right?!"
"Are they kidding us? Rank 5 Alchemists are like heaven above heaven. To think someone under the age of 30 managed to reach that level."
"Their future is boundless, no matter the outcome of this tournament!"
Another wave of shock rippled through the audience; the eyes of the clan heads sharpened, upon hearing the announcement.
"What? Another Rank 5 Alchemist?" The girls from the Alchemy Pavilion were the ones most affected by this revelation.
Even the Rank 5 Alchemist woman from the same sect looked around the crowd, wondering who was the person who dared to challenge her.
'It must be the emperor! He must have heard about me and sent someone to make sure that I do not win.' She thought, and somehow her gaze landed on Noah, recalling his interaction with Captain Black Sword, made her think her assumption might actually be true.
"So what if there is another Rank 5 Alchemist? There is no way that person could match the young miss!" Another girl snorted coldly while the last one remained quiet as if thinking of something.
