Getting a Sugar Mommy in Cultivation World!!

Chapter 555: Exposed?

Far away at the temporary base of the Red Dawn Cult, the atmosphere was very tense. General Amon, one of the six powerful generals of the cult, sat on a throne at the center of a dimly lit room.

The floor of the room was barely visible as it was covered by the people kneeling on the ground, even without anything forcing them.

While some other places were covered with unrecognizable things and materials, some of those who knelt before him did not dare to glance around but kept looking at the general from the corner of their eyes.

Only the people who have entirely incorporated the curse inside their soul were able to show emotions, which made some of the people in the room appear as if they were nothing but mindless puppets.

"Looks like we need to gather more people and rebuild our forces." Originally, Amon believed that his force would grow so much that the other five generals could only look up to him. But after the constant meddling of an unknown sect, not only was he nowhere near his original goal, but he was also starting to lose his forces.

"Benevolent Guardian Sect," Amon muttered in a playful tone, his expression hidden behind the mask on his face. His hands moved as they tinkered with what looked like the pale-looking arm of a puppet.

But a few people who could show emotions in the room sweated upon seeing the arm. They knew the arm was anything but fake; after all, it belonged to one of their own.

Amon did not seem to be aware of their reaction, or maybe he was aware, but he chose to ignore them and continued to focus on his work. Amon continued working on his new prized gem, as he liked to call them.

Just then…

He sensed something!

Amon turned to look at the wisp of energy that seemed to pass through the thick walls as if they were nothing and infiltrated the room. Amon watched silently as the light stopped before him, and he recognized it at first glance.

"Death Transmission Technique? Isn't this the technique given to those above captain rank to show the last moments of their death? This one seems to belong to Wei Rui, or it used to." Hovering before Amon was the same wisp of energy that escaped from Wei Rui's dead body.

The Death Transmission Technique was a rare and sinister art, known only to those within the highest ranks of the Red Dawn Cult.

It was a technique designed to capture the final moments of a dying cultist, allowing their memories, sensations, and final thoughts to be transmitted to their superior.

This was not merely a communication method but a twisted insurance policy, ensuring that even in death, the cultists could serve the cult by providing crucial information about their demise.

Naturally, this technique was not without any consequences. This technique is so crude that the owner has to sacrifice their soul to activate it, which in turn meant they had to forgo all of their chances at reincarnation and face true death!

This technique was meant to make the members of the cult serve their cause even in the moments of their death. The wisp of energy before Amon carried the essence of Wei Rui, one of his captains/playthings. Amon leaned back on his throne, the shadows of the room playing tricks with the dim light as they danced over his mask. "To think her opponents were so powerful that she had to resort to using this technique to relay the information."

Although Amon's voice sounded unbothered and playful, the atmosphere in the room changed drastically, showcasing his emotions.

Crack!

The temperature in the air dropped down dramatically; cracks started to appear all around the floor.

The pressure radiating from Amon caused the people kneeling on the ground to groan in pain and cough up blood. Sounds of their bones cracking and their internal organs twisting echoed in the room. Seeing their state, Amon chuckled coldly but took his pressure back. "Oops, looks like I lost control for a second there~"

Shifting his face back to the wisp, Amon spat coldly, "But I truly wonder, who was it that dared to destroy my precious materials and tools."

The wisp pulsed, reacting to Amon's words as it began to unravel its message. The room grew colder as the memories of Wei Rui's final moments began to play out before him, visible only to Amon's keen senses.

The images were fragmented and chaotic, a swirling maelstrom of fear, pain, and desperation. He could see flashes of a battle, the faces of opponents who were mere blurs, and the overwhelming sense of dread that had consumed Wei Rui in her final moments.

One of the faces became clear, as this figure had the most prominent effect on the memories. It was the face of a very beautiful blue-haired woman who dealt with the whole team alone. Read latest chapters at My Virtual Library Empire

"To think there is such a fierce beauty in this empire, why haven't I heard about her before?" Amon's smile grew broader as he sifted through the memories. He relished the emotions, the fear, and the hopelessness that Wei Rui had felt, drinking them in like a fine wine.

"This woman… she dealt with the whole group simply by relying on pure control of the laws." As the realization struck Amon, something inside of him snapped. 'I will have so much fun breaking someone like her~'

Almost instantly, the coldness in the room vanished; Amon was more amused by the mysterious expert than angry. Just then, the scene shifted once more, and Amon saw a small ball of light being planted on the young man without being discovered by anyone.

This scene caused the smirk behind the mask to widen, shifting into a feral grin.

"Those who oppose my lord and take away my materials are all my enemies, and I have a pretty special shelf for my enemies." Saying that, Amon caressed the armrest of the throne he was sitting on. Soon his fingers resumed their work, delicately manipulating the severed arm of the puppet he was crafting. From the start to the end, not a single subordinate in the room dared to make a single noise and silently endured the pain.
