Gilgamesh/Kaleidoscope

Chapter 19: chapter 19

..."Albedo!" Gilgamesh's commanding voice echoed through the grand hall.

The succubus immediately rushed to his side, kneeling before him. "Yes, my lord."

"You are to join me in my greatest expedition yet," he declared, his crimson eyes gleaming with determination. "We're traveling to another world. Prepare yourself and the Great Tomb for our absence."

Albedo's golden eyes widened in excitement and reverence. "Understood, Lord Gilgamesh." Rising with swift precision, she turned and hurried away, her heart racing at the prospect of serving her king in this monumental endeavor.

Gilgamesh watched her retreating figure with a smirk. *Now that the initial testing and my basic preparations are complete, I'm confident enough to undertake a full excursion into another world. Though I prefer traveling alone, Albedo will be invaluable in managing the more tedious tasks, like establishing an embassy.*

**The Next Day**

"Are you ready now?" Gilgamesh rose from his ornate throne, his golden armor gleaming brilliantly in the light of Nazarick's chandeliers.

Albedo knelt before him, her head bowed in deference. "Yes, my lord. All preparations have been completed."

"Impressive," he said with a grin. "To think you managed to finish everything in just one day."

He summoned a vial from his Gate of Babylon, its contents glowing faintly. Without hesitation, he uncorked it and drank.

A golden aura enveloped his body as he began to shrink. Moments later, the transformation was complete, revealing Gilgamesh in the form of a child. His golden hair and crimson eyes retained their regal brilliance, though his stature was far less imposing.

"Now," he said with a sly smile, spreading his arms wide, "feast your eyes upon your king. This is the form you are tasked to protect."

Albedo's face flushed as she struggled to restrain herself from scooping him into her arms.

"Why are you just standing there?" he snapped, snapping her out of her daze. "Come on—we're burning daylight!"

"Yes, my lord!" Albedo responded, her voice resolute as she followed him to the portal.

---

**The Portal to Another World**

Gilgamesh opened the portal with a wave of his hand, its shimmering surface swirling with otherworldly energy. Together, they stepped through, leaving Nazarick behind.

---

**Kuoh Town – DxD World**

The portal deposited them in a dense forest near Kuoh Town. The air was crisp and carried an unfamiliar energy, a mix of magic and spiritual power unique to this world.

"Albedo," Gilgamesh said, his tone authoritative. "Begin setting up the embassy. You know what to do."

"Yes, Lord Gilgamesh." Albedo nodded and disappeared, teleporting to carry out his orders.

With her gone, Gilgamesh surveyed the forest. "Now that the embassy is being established, I can focus on my own tasks."

He smirked to himself, his mind racing with possibilities. *This world is intriguing. It's full of powerful beings—angels, devils, and dragons. While I could dominate them all with ease, brute force would only lead to unnecessary complications. I need to tread carefully, keep a low profile, and achieve my goals subtly.*

He raised his hand, activating the Overhaul Quirk he had obtained. The ground beneath him trembled as stone and wood reshaped themselves, forming a grand but modest mansion hidden within the forest. Satisfied with his work, he stepped back to admire the result.

"This should serve as a suitable base of operations," he mused.

Gilgamesh's thoughts wandered to his long-term plans. *Expanding my harem here would be a good start. I already have the Nazarick girls—they were loyal to me from the beginning. But their devotion wasn't something I earned; it was ingrained in their very existence. I need to prove myself in this world, to conquer hearts with effort, not just authority.*

He thought about the girls from the Konosuba world. *Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness… they're hot, sure, but they feel more like companions than conquests. Maybe friends with benefits? I'll think about it later.*

For now, his focus was on this world and the opportunities it offered.

---

**Kuoh Town – Streets**

Meanwhile, Albedo had begun her mission. Disguised in human attire, she blended seamlessly into the bustling town. She observed the people, noting their hierarchy and habits. Her sharp mind analyzed every detail, preparing to establish Nazarick's influence in this world.

"Lord Gilgamesh will be pleased," she murmured, a determined smile on her lips.

---

**Back at the Mansion**

Gilgamesh leaned against a pillar, his youthful form radiating an air of arrogance. "This world should be fun," he muttered. "Now, let's see who will become the first to kneel before their king."
