Chapter 675: Set Item
"Five sets… Nice…" Shane muttered as he saw the items he had just looted.
It was truly a pity that he could only do this once a day… Anyway, Shane also needs to check all these items.
The Winged Calamity Set was actually mostly made of black and white colors… Despite their strange materials, the armor pieces were designed to be lightweight and flexible.
"Let's see what kind of items you left behind," Shane muttered.
One by one, he began inspecting and wearing his armor.
[ Calamity Mask ( Winged Lord Variant ) Tier 4: A mask made from scorched bone and steel feathers of Zar'Zhul the Winged Calamity. Grants piercing vision and suppresses mental interference.
Effects: +30% Perception, +25% Resistance to Mind-Control and Fear, Reveals stealth-based enemies within a 20m radius
Passive Effect: Calamity's Eye – Slightly increases critical hit chance based on enemy status ailments. ]
[ Calamity Mantle ( Winged Lord Variant ) Tier 4: A worn yet noble cape of black silk. Constantly emits heat waves that distort visibility.
Effects: +20% Evasion, +10% Movement Speed, Enemies within 5m suffer reduced accuracy ( –15% )
Passive Effect: Shadow Drift – Gain a short-duration blur effect when standing still. ]
Shane paused for a moment as he looked at the effects of the two items. The Mask was quite normal in his opinion but the Mantle's Passive Effect was quite useful.
With the Shadow Drift's effect, he wouldn't have to worry about getting sniped while standing still. It was quite an interesting effect that he had never seen in other items before.
[ Calamity Plate Armor ( Winged Lord Variant ) Tier 4: Chestplate forged from hollowed bones and Lord Zombie bone marrow. Incredibly resistant yet fluid for movement.
Effects: +40% Physical Defense, +25% Fire and Acid Resistance, reduced all incoming damage while airborne by 10%
Passive Effect: Burning Reprisal – Reflects 10% melee damage as Fire damage.
[ Calamity Gauntlets ( Winged Lord Variant ) Tier 4: Gloves embedded with the essence Winged Zombies. Enhances grip, strength, and dark energy conduction.
Effects: +30% Melee Attack Speed, +20% Skill Activation Speed, Attacks have a 5% chance to emit a shockwave that knocks back targets. ]
"They're a lot more comfortable than I thought." Shane thought as he wore the Armor and the Gauntlets. They looked stiff from their appearance.
However, once Shane wore them, he realized how flexible they could be while still being so durable.
Anyway, he really liked the material used, so he was looking forward to the rest of the Winged Calamity Set.
[ Calamity Belt ( Winged Lord Variant ) Tier 4: A mystical belt infused with corruption energy.
Effects: +15% Energy Regeneration, allows storing one extra Quick Use Item, reduces skill cooldowns by 10% ]
[ Calamity Greaves ( Winged Lord Variant ) Tier 4: Blackened greaves with feathers and residual soul-fire.
Effects: +35% Jump Height, +20% Sprint Speed, Fall damage is completely negated.
"Whoa~" Shane paused for a moment after seeing the Greaves' ability.
The effect that negates fall damage was simply a cheat in his opinion. If he was wearing the Calamity Greaves, then he would no longer have to worry about the duration or limit of his Flight Skill.
'This is awesome… Though it would be a lot better if it's a Survivor Skill instead.' Shane thought. After all, if it was a Survivor Skill he obtained, then he might be able to use his Skill Infuser Talent and give it to everyone…
Anyway, he wore the final item. The boots.
[ Calamity Boots ( Winged Lord Variant ) Tier 4: Forged from Zombie Lord's leather. Each step leaves faint embers behind.
Effects: +30 Agility, +20% Ground Stability, +15% Silent Movement, +5% Critical Evasion Chance
Passive Effect: Flight Boost – Provides 10% Flight Speed and Control Boost while airborne. ]
"Hmm… Not bad… The flight boost is decent…" Shane commented.
Still, as he wore all the items, he received the Set Effects. There were actually two of them. One was for the three-piece bonus effect while the other was for the five-piece bonus effect.
[ You have equipped three pieces of Winged Calamity Set and obtained a set effect. ]
[ 3-Piece Bonus: Winged Predator Instinct
Effects: Gain +20% Agility, +10% Critical Rate, and +15% Attack Speed.
Grants Aerial Adaptation: Reduce stamina cost of airborne maneuvers and fall-recovery time.
Successful attacks while mid-air temporarily increases damage dealt by 5% per strike (up to 5 stacks). ]
[ You have equipped five pieces of Winged Calamity Set and obtained a set effect.
5-Piece Bonus: Legacy of Calamity
Unlocks Active Skill: Winged Descent – Leap high into the air and slam into the ground with explosive force, dealing AoE Fire-Darkness damage and staggering enemies.
+30% Resistance to Corruption-type Status Effects
Passive Effect: Ashen Domain – Enemies within 10m suffer reduced healing, –10% armor, and are more vulnerable to burn and fear effects. ]
"Wow… This looks really good." Shane muttered to himself as he looked at himself wearing the set item. The five-piece bonus effect also made him excited.
He really liked the Winged Descent… It seemed so destructive and having such an entrance must feel so incredible.
He wanted to at least try using this ability a few times.
Anyway, with the new set item, Shane decided to move around to test it out. He had plenty of Set Items that had been broken already due to Durability issues. It may have been solved with the blacksmiths and craftsmen on his side, but still, he wanted pieces of equipment that wouldn't have to be maintained so frequently by the blacksmiths.
Anyway, the Calamity Set didn't just sit on his body; it all adjusted well to his size and felt like it was truly made for him.
'It feels nice…' Shane mused as he confirmed that the effects had already been activated.
[ Set Effect: Winged Predator Instinct Activated. ]
[ Set Effect: Legacy of Calamity Activated. ]
Shane then glanced at his shelter.
It only took him a moment to realize that everyone was looking at their rewards. Some of them were looking at their new weapons, new titles, and other rewards they had obtained.
Seeing how happy everyone was, Shane couldn't help but feel curious about the others and swiftly opened his Chat Board.
