Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 691: Merging Request

Shane then continued reading the chat, hoping to know more about the situation.

However, they seemed to have switched to private messages, as there were no more discussions about the dispute.

[ Norva: Offering Rare Survivor Skill Scrolls in exchange for Repair Tokens or rare minerals. DM for complete listings. ]

[ Drake: Anyone have spare Power Cores? Our last two Barriers fried during the surge. Willing to trade food packs or mid-tier crafting items."

[ Jerry: Offering Car Repairs—cheap, mobile, and no questions asked. I don't do Humanoid Machines though. Sorry. ]

[ Ruvi: Urgent: We need antibiotics or purification items. Got hit by a contaminated horde and our filters are down. Will trade luxury rations and even some Spirit Stones."

[ Boros: Looking for blunt-type weapon blueprints or scrolls that enhance physical resistance. Our frontliners are mostly hand-to-hand, and they're dropping fast. ]

[ Tar: I've got rare Saline Flow in stock, just harvested from our garden. Trading for alchemical containers, fortified glass preferred. ]

[ Skye: Need Spirit Stones fast… Not in Marketplace, please. I can't pay the Tax. Send me a message. ]

[ Reylin: Seeking merger discussions. Remaining members and resources intact. Blood Talon Clan Ranked 23rd after the Zombie Wave. Messages to the related merge can only be sent to me, the Clan Leader, only. ]

Shane's eyes narrowed slightly at that last message. He then sent a message to Reylin to ask for information about the Blood Talon Clan. He was really clueless about them.

[ Reylin: Clan Leader of the Eclipse Revenant? You're interested? This is some of our details.

Clan: Blood Talon | Representative: Reylin]

Current Rank: 23 ( Highest Rank: 14 )

Shelters: 1 Remaining (2 Destroyed)

Reason for Merger Request: Loss of infrastructure and manpower after the 24-Hour Horde Events. Willing to retain subordinate role. ]

It was such a detailed message that Shane was able to guess that she had already given this information to many others.

Aside from this, Reylin continued to message him about the situation of their clan. It seemed that she wanted the prospective clan to truly know their current predicament.

She mentioned various reports about their strength, casualties during the Zombie Wave, and discussed some key talents that were still part of their Clan. If Shane decided to merge the clan, Reylin would then reveal some of their secrets, including their Legendary Talents.

That was definitely an interesting offer.

Furthermore, Shane learned that they had once stood strong as one of the twelve clans under The Alliance, a large, militarized faction led by the powerful Overlord Clan.

But it was clear that the moment they became weak, the others distanced themselves.

"Overlord Clan, huh…" Shane gently nodded as he recalled receiving an invitation from them as well during the time they were in the Waiting Zone.

In any case, now that the Blood Talon Clan had weakened, no one wanted to take them in. After all, it could be very dangerous to accept so many people… Especially if they were from one Clan…

"No one wanted to take the risk," Shane murmured.

If the new members tried to overthrow or cause problems for the old members of the Clan, it would be very difficult to suppress them…

It may start with small problems, and slowly, the Clan Leader might change.

And it made sense. Blood Talon was known not just for their aggression on the battlefield but their fierce internal pride. Taking them in could mean internal conflict.

A power struggle.

A betrayal waiting to happen.

But…

Shane was different. He had a Territory Lord Talent.

[ Territory Lord ( Legendary Talent ): You can occupy and claim a large piece of land for your development. There is a 100% chance of attracting talented inhabitants of the continent to serve you in your territory every five days!

Residents of your territory will now gain 2 Loyalty Points per day. ]

With the 2 Loyalty Points gained every day, even if they have a plan to overthrow his management, it wouldn't happen at all.

With such a talent in his arsenal, he wasn't afraid of strong people. As long as they received 60 or 70 Loyalty Points, that would be more than enough to convince them not to harm his Shelter at the very least.

'I guess this is worth discussing, huh…' Shane thought to himself as he believed that this was a favorable deal for them…

If Blood Talon truly wanted to survive—and if their loyalty could be earned—then they certainly deserved a second chance.

After a short moment of thought, Shane sent a message to Veylin, telling her that he would ask the opinion of other members.

Just like that, he asked Raze and the others for their opinion.

Although he owned the Clan and the Shelters, he wouldn't be the one managing them anyway… The task would be handled by the Shelter Leaders…

After getting their replies, Shane smiled and opened the Chat Board once again and sent a message to them.

[ Shane: Reylin. I discussed the merger suggestion with my team leaders… If you're serious about this proposal, we're open to further discussions.

But before anything else, I need full transparency as requested by the members of my Clan.

A detailed account of the events that led to your shelters' destruction.

Current headcount and condition of your remaining shelter.

Existing survivors with potential risks (traitors, deserters, infected).

Resource inventories or supplies, Legendary Equipment

Clarify your Clan council structure, if it still exists. ]

Within ten minutes, a reply came.

[ Reylin: Sir Shane… Thank you for even considering.

Please allow me to explain our situation in full. ]

Then came a flood of data.

She discussed the ruins of their first shelter… How a Poison Fog weakened their ranks and how the walls shattered by Giant Zombies. Their frontline was wiped out after holding for nearly fifteen hours.

Next came their third Shelter, located in a lush forest. Taken down not by brute force, but by a cunning infection wave. Over forty percent of the population fell within 20 hours, despite quarantine. The shelter commander—Reylin's own brother—was lost.

Now, only the second shelter, a mountain-adjacent shelter, remained. And it was also running on reduced power.

Population: 479

Combat-capable: 142

Epic Talent Holders: 17

Medical Personnel: 8

Engineers: 11

Children: 36

Supplies: Enough for three weeks, barely.

Defensive Structures: 60% operational.

Mech Units: None.

Tokens: 12 Combat-class, 6 Medic-class (varied origins).

All other resources had either been used, lost, or destroyed.

After this information was given, Reylin continued with her message.

[ Reylin: Sir Shane… Blood Talon once stood shoulder to shoulder with the best of The Alliance. We fought. We bled. And when we fell, no one came.

They say we're dangerous. That we'll turn on any clan who takes us in.

I can't promise there won't be dissent—we're proud, and we've lost too much. But I can promise this:

If we join Eclipse… we'll be your shield. We'll take your orders. If you give us a path, we'll follow it.

Just… give us a place where we're not waiting to die. ]

She knew really well about the condition of her clan. Furthermore, Shane was probably the strongest Survivor, and his Clan was likely the strongest within the continent.

If she could really merge with such a powerful Clan, then she knew that she'd be helping all the members of the Clan.

Shane read through everything, quiet for several minutes. Then, he sent another message.

[ Shane: Alright… These are the terms that I've discussed with the members:

> The Blood Talon Clan is to be absorbed, not partnered. You will function under Eclipse's banner and abide by our charter.

> All existing military ranks will be dissolved and reassigned after evaluation. You will retain advisory authority but no command unless cleared.

> Internal loyalty trials will be conducted. It is voluntary but mandatory for leadership access.

> Your current Shelter will receive Eclipse engineers, medics, and crafters within the week once a portal is established. If you have a command system, you will allow system synchronization with our Cloud AI.

> Any dissenters or troublemakers will be given a chance to join as civilian laborers. Refusal will mean exile—no exceptions.

> Your elite members will undergo skill and ethics review under Eclipse supervision.

> Loyalty will earn trust. Trust will earn power. You want to rise again? Then do it from within. ]

The reply came only seconds later. Just a few words. But they carried the weight of desperation and hope.

"We accept. When and where do we start?"

Shane stood from the crate, his fingers curling lightly at his side.

The Blood Talon Clan—once feared, now fractured—was about to become part of Eclipse Revenant

And that meant two things:

New strength.

New risks.

He turned toward Arial, who had stayed nearby while overseeing repairs.

"They agreed…" Shane said.

Arial raised an eyebrow. "So we're really taking them in…"

"They've lost everything. That makes them dangerous. But it also makes them ready." He added.

"And if they try to bite the hand that feeds them?"

Shane gave a slight smirk. "Then I'll break their teeth." Although it was not possible, he decided not to elaborate.
