'Ding.

Mission 9: Master of Night Aegis.

Objective: Increase Night Aegis' loyalty to 100 points.

Reward: One Random Low-level Life Card.

'Wait a second…did I find a loophole into getting additional rewards?'

Once he checked the new missions and rewards for completing them, Ethan's eyes lit up.

First, it was Ethan who knew the loyalty wouldn't be 100 points if he revived them with Level 1 Foundation Establishment Realm cultivation.

But, for some extra Life Points, he still went with that method.

Also, when he revived someone, it was a known thing that the system would give out a mission to get their full loyalty.

As for completing the mission generated by the system, Ethan would obviously receive rewards.

In short, Ethan felt he had found a perfect loophole to earn not just the Life Points but also more Life Cards.

'If I am lucky, I will get back the General Revival Life Card I used, and with that, in the future, I can revive more Night Demons and increase my Night Demon Army.'

Although Ethan was able to create Five General Revival Life Cards with a single Last Breath Totem, he wouldn't be as lucky as today to get another Last Breath Totem easily.

However, as long as his luck is good, he can follow the method he followed earlier to intentionally lower the loyalty points of the Revived Cultivators or Night Demons.

After that, the system would issue the missions, and upon completing them, he could get back some of his General Revival Life Cards.

On the other hand, the Night Demons were still processing the things they went through and looked at one another and became surprised and at the same time, happy.

'Ding,

The loyalty of the Nine Night Demons increased by 1 point.

'Huh? I did nothing but why did it increase?'

As Ethan was lost in his thoughts, he was interrupted by a sudden system notification, making him frown.

'Ding,

The loyalty of the Nine Night Demons increased by 1 point.

'Ding,

The loyalty of the Nine Night Demons increased by 1 point.

Before he could realize what was happening, Ethan received two more system notifications, saying the two points of increments in the Night Demons' loyalty towards him.

'Is it because they are happy to see their fellow Night Demons?'

This was the only conclusion that Ethan could come to as he became excited and thought, 'Just two more points….two more points of loyalty and I can complete nine missions at once.'

He prayed that their loyalty should increase and reach 100 because he would get nine Low-level Life Cards for doing nothing.

'....'

However, their loyalty stopped at 98, and it no longer increased, making Ethan bitterly smile, 'Of course, it is not going to be that easy to complete the mission without doing anything.'

'How about I use Seraphis and Zepharis' names?'

Although he was not sure, Ethan decided to use their names and see whether it would increase their loyalty.

"Ahem….Other than you nine, there are still two more Night Demons named Seraphis and Zepharis who are staying in my courtyard."

Ethan remembered the conversation with Seraphis when he revived her and knew exactly what the Night Demons wanted.

So, without wasting any time, he promised, "As I promised to them, I have not only freed you but also revived you, and I will continue to save more Night Demons that are suffering in the future."

The Nine Night Demons didn't need any explanation as they already knew…knew that the human standing before them was the only reason they were able to breathe again.

Hearing the human's words, their eyes turned red, not with hatred or rage, but with excitement.

Also, the old flames in their hearts which were long extinguished by despair and torment after turning into a puppet, began to burn again.

The flames of their purpose and the passion to protect their kin, and the will to save their Night Demon Race…it had been reignited.

"Master Human, we don't know how to thank you for not only freeing us from the hell we were going through but also for giving a second life to us."

On the other hand, Ethan knew his words had an effect on the Night Demons, and as he was wondering what he should say next to increase the loyalty of the Nine Night Demons, they suddenly dropped to one knee, their heads lowered in respect.

With solemn expressions and unwavering eyes filled with newfound life, they spoke in unison, their voices echoing in the cave with ancient pride and loyalty.

'...'

Seeing that, Ethan remained speechless and silently observed them while keeping an eye on their loyalties which remained unchanged.

"We, the Night Aegis of the Night Demon Race, vow our claws, daggers, souls, and lives to the one who broke our chains and granted us freedom."

They didn't stop their words yet as they continued, "From this day forth, we shall stand as your shield, strike as your sword, and follow your will without hesitation."

'It increased…the loyalty has reached 100 points.'

Just as Ethan noticed the changes in the loyalty, he received a series of system notifications that sounded very pleasant to his ears.

'Ding,

The loyalty of the Nine Night Demons has reached 100 points.

'Ding,

Congratulations to the host for successfully completing their Nine Missions.

'Ding,

The host received a Revival Life Card.

'Ding,

The host received a Godly Lifespan Card (Small).

'Ding,

The host received a General Revival Life Card.

'Let's see how many General Revival Life Cards I received?'

Ethan quickly checked the rewards and found he got only three General Revival Life Cards.

'A new Life Card?'

However, among the nine Life Cards, there were two Life Cards that made Ethan excited and among them, one of them was a new Life Card that he hadn't seen before.
