Chapter 392: Cultivation Lessons Begins
[Heaven's Mystic Harvesting]
[Spirit Tree: Ancient Heartwood Tree]
.
.
[Status: Happy but also sad]
[Status: Finally, after a long time, I got some fertiliser to replenish my Life Essence. If it were a few moments before, I could have used this Life Essence to fill the 0.01 percent gap.
[Status: I can still force this Life Essence into the realm directly; however, its effectiveness would be directly reduced by 50 percent. Fine… I will wait until the next such gap appears.]
'T-this… so, it works like this.'
Seeing the change in the status, Ethan was surprised for a moment and at the same time, he understood something.
With his [Heavenly Spirit Eye], Ethan noticed the ways to recover the Ancient Heartwood Tree, and there were two types.
One is temporary, and another is permanent.
For the temporary recovery, the Ancient Heartwood Tree requires the Undead Army's Bones and the Spectral Death Knight's Heart.
At that time, he didn't understand it completely but after providing the Undead Army's Bones, Ethan got a good understanding of how it works.
'When I provide the Undead Army's Bones, the Ancient Heartwood Tree could convert them into Life Essence, which can be used to replenish the Greenheart Realm.'
Although Ethan didn't know how the Ancient Heartwood Tree could convert the Dead Essence into the Life Essence, he knew it was not impossible.
Even his Heavenly Talent [Infernal Dragon Blood Heart] could convert all kinds of harmful energies into Spirit Essence and Life Points.
So, he didn't think much about it; instead, he formed a plan to slowly work on it when he was not taking care of the Spirit Plants and training the Greenfolk People.
That's right!
He wanted to change the Greenfolk People, and since their excuse for not learning any techniques was that there was no one to teach them, Ethan decided to teach them and also train them.
According to his schedule so far, he only needed 30 minutes to nurture the Emerald Life Grass every day, followed by a 150-minute teaching session for the Greenfolk People.
As for the remaining 21 hours, Ethan had yet to plan anything for now.
Thus, after learning that the Ancient Heartwood Tree could convert the Undead Army's remains into Life Essence, Ethan decided to actively hunt more Undead Beings.
'Let's start the lessons for the Greenfolk People.'
With that thought in mind, Ethan wasted no time as he quickly gathered the Greenfolk People in the clearing near the Ancient Heartwood Tree.
Following Ethan's instruction, they sat in neat rows, their green curious eyes reflecting their anticipation and eagerness.
"Today, I will teach you the [Green Pulse Art]," he said in a calm voice.
"This cultivation technique is the key to harmonising your Spirit Essence with the life around you. It can not only help you grow stronger in your cultivation, but also nourish the plants and trees that sustain us."
He paused to let the words sink into the minds of the Greenfolk People before continuing, "The first step is, you must learn to guide your Spirit Essence into a gentle, flowing rhythm—like water feeding roots.
"Feel it in your dantian, let it gather there. Once you have gathered enough Spirit Essence, shift it outward, into the air around you."
He demonstrated the process with practised ease.
'Swoosh'
A faint green glow shimmered around his hand, coiling like a vine, before flowing into a nearby sprout, causing its leaves to tremble and glow brighter.
"Focus on that sensation," he instructed. "The Green Pulse is a cycle. Breathe in the Spirit Essence from the world and absorb it. Breathe out, and let that essence transform into Plant Essence, nurturing the living things nearby."
Ethan moved among them, adjusting stances, correcting postures, and offering soft encouragements.
"Don't rush. Let the Green Pulse find its natural flow. Guide it with your breath and let it settle in your core. When you release it, imagine the essence flowing outward like gentle rain, feeding the earth and the roots around you."
The Greenfolk People closed their eyes, following his calm instructions.
Some might think that if the land has become barren, how did the sprout that Ethan earlier nurtured come from and also how could these Greenfolk People absorb the Spirit Essence around them?
That's a valid question, and indeed, the entire Greenfire Realm has become barren… barren for only Spirit Plants.
Inside the Stronghold, there were many regular plants that were used as food for the Greenfolk People.
Also, there is barely any Spirit Essence in the Stronghold, making it not an ideal place for cultivation.
Nevertheless, Ethan was not worried about it and continued with his lesson because above his head, a golden-white scaled fish was freely swimming in mid-air.
It was none other than the Celestial Spring Koi Fish that can release the Spirit Essence wherever it goes.
In short, it is a power bank for Spirit Essence that can be naturally recharged with some rest.
'Bringing my Heavenly Pets with me was a wise decision.'
Originally, Ethan's plan was to let his Heavenly Pets cultivate in the Mystic Soil Domain to enjoy the rich Spirit Essence to grow stronger.
However, he was using the same Heavenly Pet to fill the stronghold with the Spirit Essence.
'Once these Greenfolk People learn Green Pulse Art, I will just give them the Spirit Stones and let them cultivate using those stones.'
Currently, Ethan's storage ring has nearly 1.5 Billion Low-level Spirit Stones. So, he was not worried that he would run out of them anytime soon.
…..
Time continued to pass, and in a flash, three hours passed by,
"Hero, I have successfully reached the [Spark Stage]."
A young Greenfolk named Grey informed Ethan about his achievement in a disappointed tone as he showed a flickering plant essence at the end of his finger.
The reason for his disappointment was that he was the last person to enter the [Spark Stage] in his [Green Pulse Art]… it means that compared to others, his talent is worse.
That's right! During these three hours, all 1000 Greenfolk in the stronghold have successfully entered the [Spark Stage], and Grey was the last person to complete it.
"Grey, don't let the fact that you were the last make you doubt your worth," he said calmly. "What matters is that you reached it. Cultivation isn't a race. Each person's path unfolds at its own pace, and even a slow seed can become the tallest tree."
Seeing Grey's downcast expression, Ethan gently placed his hand on the young Greenfolk's shoulder, a reassuring smile in his eyes.
Grey looked up, as the disappointment in his eyes disappeared as it was filled with hope.
Of course, compared to his future, Grey was happy that Hero patted his head as he swore, 'I should not disappoint the Hero and work hard in cultivating and helping Hero.'
'Phew… finally, I did it. I helped them take their first step, and that was harder than I thought.'
On the other hand, Ethan heaved a sigh of relief that all Greenfolk have a good cultivation talent.
That's right!
The entire process was not easy, and if he were still the same Ethan from the Blue Planet, he would have been frustrated to teach them.
However, his personality has changed, and compared to before, he has become calmer and patient thanks to the [Radiant Heart].
Although Spark Stage for any cultivation technique was basically useless, without jade slips, it would still take at least one day to learn a cultivation technique like Green Pulse Art.
However, the Greenfolk People were able to achieve the [Spark Stage] in less than three hours, making Ethan believe they had good cultivation talent.
'I don't need them to fight against the Undead Race; instead, by the time I leave, they should be capable of nurturing their own Spirit Plants.'
This was what Ethan thought in his head.
'Anyway, I should take some rest before going out of the Stronghold and at the same time, I should check out the other things I gained from the Azure Serpent Fiend King.'
From the moment he entered the Greenheart Realm, Ethan was doing one thing or the other. So, he decided to take some rest because he was planning to kill some undead beings to feed the Ancient Heartwood Tree.
With that thought in mind, Ethan entered a tree house that was entirely made up of Ancient Heartwood Tree's branches before checking the options he bought from the Azure Serpent Fiend King.
'Huh? Where did my new bloodline disappear? Don't tell me…..'
Suddenly, Ethan raised his brows.
