Godslayer: Reincarnated with SSS Rank Cultivation System

Chapter 60: Mysterious Ancient Stone Tablet

While Wen Ran was trying to figure out how to get down from the cliff, the other members of the group were unconscious, too tired from their long journey. Many of the youngsters dressed in the light blue sect clothes rushed to their location. They carefully picked up each and every one of the exhausted members, carrying them to the bamboo house.

But when they stepped through the mysterious portal, none of them appeared in Wen Ran's location. It seemed the portal led each person to where their heart desired, and before them stood a building with a large sign above it that read: "Talent Hall." They carefully carried the unconscious children inside and laid them down gently.

"Wow, look at this one, she's a beauty." A sixteen or seventeen-year-old man said admiringly as he looked at Feng Yulan. He almost instinctively reached out to touch her face, curiosity driving his actions. But before he could, the girl around his age swiftly struck him with a fist to the top of his head.

"Brother Li!" She shouted at him, her voice causing the poor boy to feel as if his soul had almost rushed out of his body and fled as far as it could from this monster of a friend.

"I was only joking, Sister Zhao, no need to get so aggressive..." He sulked, rubbing the top of his head in an attempt to soothe the pain.

"Hahaha, brother Li, you should know not to get on Sister Zhao's bad side! Look at you, running away like a rabbit fleeing from its hunter!" The group around them couldn't help but tease the poor boy. But he seemed to have already been used to this. For the entire group, this was a common occurrence.

"Hey, you good-for-nothings, don't pick on the poor fellow!" The girl suddenly burst out in anger, her voice sharp and commanding. "You're all too far behind him when it comes to cultivation. How about you beat him in a fight first, and then you can bully him?"

Her words were directed at the other youngsters, who quickly fell silent and stepped aside. They didn't dare to even glance in her direction. Her light blue hair and striking blue eyes, which seemed as cold as ice, made everyone shiver under her gaze. This beauty was not someone they wanted to mess with.

"Aaaahhh..." She sighed deeply, shaking her head with her hands on her waist. "You all have no backbone. Look at you all now... what a good-for-nothing crowd."

She complained and scolded the group for a while. After a solid session of lecture, everyone had a strong headache, wishing the seniors would arrive soon to start the talent assessment. This lecture was a torture none of them wanted to endure, but at the same time, they had no courage to fight back against this ice beauty, allowing her to lecture them without protest.

"Sister Zhao, that's enough, I'm okay, I'm used to it by now..." The boy, who had long black hair and striking green eyes, tried to calm her down. He was so handsome that he was prettier than most of the girls, which made many in the sect both curse and adore him in equal measure.

"You really need to learn to stand up for yourself. You're the youngest person to have ever reached peak Spirit Flow Stage at your age—have some confidence," she pouted, looking at him adoringly. No matter what she did, she could not help but always get mad when others picked on him. She couldn't quite explain the feeling in her heart.

"What is going on here?" The woman's voice echoed through the hall, causing everyone to jump and quickly stand in a straight line.

"Welcome back, Senior Sister Lin!" Everyone bowed with their hands clasped respectfully, not a single person daring to look her in the eyes.

"You juniors have too much time for jokes. After this, everyone is to meditate in closed cultivation for a month. Don't dare to disobey, or you know what will happen."

"Yes, Senior Sister!" The group said in unison. They cursed inside but smiled on the outside, not daring to show their true feelings.

"Good, now wake them up," she commanded. With her hands behind her back, she gracefully walked to the middle of the hall. The hall itself was decorated in gold and jade, looking extravagant and grand. In the very center, suspended in the air, floated a human-sized stone tablet. It was inscribed with an unknown text, radiating an aura of mystery and power.

This tablet was used to determine the potential of the cultivator.

Suddenly, the room started to fill with the scent of spiritual herbs. The disciples of the sect pulled out vials filled with mysterious liquid and pressed them against the noses of the sleeping children. The smell caused their eyes to twitch, slowly waking them up. Disoriented and slightly panicking, all they could remember was climbing the stairs to the mountain, and now they found themselves laying down in a mysterious hall. The feeling of wanting to flee surged within them, but they didn't dare to move.

"Welcome to the Hall of Talents," the woman spoke. "Here, all of you will undergo a second test. This will determine if you are qualified to become a disciple of the sect or a servant to the disciples."

But her warm smile hid something—an unsettling aura that made the air feel tense.

"But do not fret," she continued. "Even if you become a servant, you will be able to climb the ranks and join the disciples someday."

Her fingers moved quickly, forming hand seals, and in the next moment, the tablet began to shine with an ethereal light. The energy radiating from it made the group feel a sense of relaxation, restoring the strength they had lost during the climb.

"What is this?" Feng Chenxi asked curiously, his eyes shining like gems. He was eager to try the test and see what it entailed.

Meanwhile, Wen Ran was slowly climbing down the rocky cliff. His fingernails dug deep into the rock, his entire body covered in sweat as he struggled. Even the rabbit perched on his head was shaking like a leaf in the wind.

This is too humiliating... Wen Ran thought, gritting his teeth.
