Chapter 3: Pervert
"What do you mean 'do you accept'? At least show me those quests, you stupid system." Leon shouted in his mind; even during all this shouting, he didn't stop for a second because he knew his mother's anger and what would happen to those who angered her.
"I don't have time for this." Saying this, he rushed for the stairs. Reaching down stairs and turning towards the left, he saw a man sitting on a chair leaning on a dining table, with the same black hairs neatly combed to his left, brown eyes, somewhat tanned skin, a pointy nose, and Wearing a neat black office suit, he sat there eating pancakes with extra honey and some blueberries.
Seeing him, his father, 'Martin West,' whom he hadn't seen for fifteen years now, sitting there in front of his eyes, his eyes started to tear up.
His mother, who was just behind his father making some pancakes, turned around to call her sweet little boy for breakfast, saw Leon, and said. "What happened to you, baby? Why are you crying?"
Hearing his mother's remark, his father lifted his head, and seeing me cry, he started laughing. But he didn't stop there; in a voice we use to cox a little baby, he said, "What happened to Claire's little princess? Did some bad guy take your chocolate? Here, have some pancakes."
Seeing his father's (Martin's) action (Clair), his mother, who was just behind him, said in a low and calculated tone, "Honey, do you want some pancakes?" Hearing his wife's tone and offer for a pancake, he gulped down his saliva; he began to quiet down. He knew that if he had uttered a single word, then the next pancake would not land on his plate, but rather on his head.
After looking at her scaredy-cat husband for a few seconds, she turned her head upwards to look at her son and said, "Why are you crying first thing in the morning? Did you get hurt from that fall a few minutes ago? If you are, then let's go see a doctor." concern evident in her voice.
Hearing her concerned, filled questions, I looked at her and felt mesmerized by her beauty. her flowing dark brown hair, her shimmering light blue eyes, her straight and pointed nose, and her pearly white smooth skin—all of this combined with her black shirt, cream-colored suit, and on top of it, a pink-colored apron—give her a presence of an authoritatively charming, elegant lady that demands obedience with a tidbit of cuteness.
As I saw her standing there demanding attention, I spoke, "How can a goddess like you marry a gorilla?"
Hearing my question, both my parents stared at each other for few seconds, and while Clair started laughing a little, my father stared daggers at me. My father was not a tidbit inferior to my mother, But who cares.
"Ho ho, do they also teach you this in college now?" Clair said while walking towards me. "So tell me, why were you crying earlier? Did something happen?"
Hearing her words, and seeing her coming towards me I instinctively moved forward and hugged her tightly, as if she was going to fly away from me at any given time.
"I missed you, Mom."
"Missed me? What are you talking about? I'm here for you always. You know that, right?" Clair said.
My emotions were in turmoil seeing my parents standing in front of me, and before I knew it, I started crying. I messed up.
"Yes, I know, Mom. I just had a terrible nightmare." Leon said while letting go of her and sitting on a chair.
"Wait, where is my hug, little sweetheart?" My father said while making puppy eyes towards me and Mom. I just sat there and looked at him for a few seconds and said. "Cringey old man, stop saying stuff like that; also, call me by my name." Although Leon said that, Martin knew that Leon loved his family.
"All of that aside, what kind of nightmare made you cry? I know that if that made you cry, it would really be a nightmare." Martin said seriously this time, looking into my eyes. Those eyes were cold and calculative, as if nothing could be hidden from them staring deep into my soul. The intensity of that stare was much higher than anything I had seen before coming from my father. So I quickly shifted my eyes towards my mother to see if she would help me, but she was eyeing me even more intensely.
Under their intense stare, I caved in and told them about their accident. But I didn't tell them about their death; I only told them that they had an accident and were hospitalized.
"That's all; don't worry so much, as you can see that we are alright and standing in front of you. Just forget about that nightmare and cheer up, my sweetie pie." Clair said to Leon with a worried gaze.
"No, Mom, you and Dad have to be careful out there, okay, for me at least, please." I said while holding Mom's and Dad's hands, requesting them to be careful.
"Ok ok, look at you a crybaby. We will be careful, so don't worry about us anymore and eat your pancakes or hehehhehe....." Martin said while laughing mysteriously and locked his gaze with mine as if to give me a challenge to try and see what happens if I don't eat my pancakes.
But I didn't take his gaze seriously at all and started eating my pancakes while my mom returned to making them.
"Not fun anymore." Martin said, and he also started eating his pancakes.
While making pancakes, my mom turned towards me asked about the college opening ceremony and when the date of the ceremony is.
"It's seven days from now on the first of May. Why do you ask?"
"Nothing, just curious." Clair said and smiled lightly.
"Here, take this and go on shopping with your friend for the ceremony." Handing over her card to me with a light smile.
"But I don't want anything for the ceremony." I said
"Yes, I know, but just get some fresh air, and if you still don't like or want anything, then you could have a stroll through the city to freshen up your mind." Clair said.
Thinking about what Mom said and having nothing to do, I agreed. But before that, I have to finish my breakfast.
Only after I completely filled my stomach to the brim did my mother let me go to my room. After having breakfast, my parents made their way to the office.
"Finally I got to see my parents, and unlike last time, where I couldn't save them, this time I will save them." I firmed myself and resolved myself to face any problem that would come my way that would be crushed under my iron fist.
"Now, my second task is to find Mia and Sam to build our trust like before and find out who that traitor is who killed my parents. Plus, I have to check those quests that I got before." Voicing his thoughts, Leon commanded his system to show his quests.
"Come on, stupid system, show me that quest message I got earlier."

"What? Top of this world in five years and penalty is death, why would this system give me such a quest? Okay, let's see the second one."

"What the hell, why do all these quests have death penalties, and rewards are also unknown? Just keep the penalties hidden as well, then stupid system." Leon shouted at the system.
"Don't I have a choice to reject these quests?" Leon asked. 'No, these are must-have quests.'
"What? Then why do you have the option to accept them? Just force them on me and be done with it, you stupid system." Leon howled angrily.
'Do you accept?'
"Shit, this system is getting on my nerves. Yes, I accept." Leon accepted the quest.
"Now that all this is done, I should get some fresh air because some stupid system has overloaded my brain." Saying this, he stood up from his bed and walked towards his wardrobe to select his outfit.
After selecting his outfit, he dressed up and headed downstairs. Reaching down, he scanned the room and kitchen; not seeing anyone, he headed towards the garage.
As Leon entered the garage, he saw his bike, black in color, with a sleek design, and a one-seater bike (Royal Enfield GT 650) standing there as a masterpiece of the old earth.
At this day and age, not many would use a vehicle that drives on the ground because at this point in time, self-driving floating cars and bikes were everywhere. But Leon chose this bike because he wanted to feel the thrill of riding a bike and have control over it.
All this aside, Leon walked towards the bike and sat on it; as if sensing this, the garage door opened up, and he drove away. Driving the bike around his neighborhood, he steered his bike towards the mall. This neighborhood is quite small because very few families were living here, but it has all the facilities like malls, schools, hospitals, and stores.
As Leon reached the mall, he parked his bike in an underground parking lot, and he got into the elevator to the top floor of the mall. Just as he was one floor away from his destination, it stopped, the door opened, and two girls and one man came into the elevator. The door closed, and onto the next floor, the door opened, and also came a shriek from one of them.
