Chapter 47: Chapter Forty-Six
When I walked into the dorm I found Raiven sitting on the bed. He was leaning against the wall with his arms and ankles crossed. His eyes were closed. Aiden sat next to him. He was drumming his fingers on his arm. One of his feet kept shaking. Once the door closed Aiden's head snapped toward me.
I gulped. Aiden looked pissed. I never saw him like that. "Papi?" I whimpered. I hated it when either one was mad at me.
Raiven opened his eyes and looked at me. He frowned. Aiden stood up and walked toward me. He stopped in front me, staring down at me. I shrunk into myself. I felt so small.
"Why did you lie to us?" His voice was deep.
"Lie? What did I lie about?" I pretty much yipped. It was hard to breathe when he was looking at me like that.
"You said all was good. Nothing happened. We could feel that something did happen. So, why did you lie to us?"
I gulped. "It was really nothing. All was good." I didn't want to tell them about Cameron. It really was nothing since I took care of it.
Aiden studied my eyes. Finally he sighed. "Fine. I'll let it slide this once. Don't do it again."
I nodded. "Ok, Papi." I looked over to Raiven. "Daddy?"
He stood up and walked over to us. He placed his hand on my head. I looked up at him. His eyes were soft and he had a gentle smile.
"Just this once baby boy. Don't lie to us again. Next time I'll punish you." He started to pet me.
I leaned into his hand. A purr slipped through my lips. "Yes, Daddy. Not again."
Soon we went to the bed and cuddled. I had my head on Raiven's chest while his arms were around me. Aiden was pressed against my back. We fell asleep.
The next morning Aiden had a training session. I didn't want to leave his side so Raiven and I went with him. We sat on the sidelines watching. Somewhere in the middle of the session Aiden came over and pulled Raiven to join them. Raiven ended up giving them some lessons.
At the end Raiven and Aiden walked me to my art club. Aiden rubbed his chin. He was thinking about something.
"Aiden? Is something wrong?" I pulled his sleeve.
He glanced down at me. "It's weird. Cameron was acting weird today. Normally he would try to be my partner. Always doing things with me. Today it was like he was avoiding me."
I scowled and looked away. I didn't want to think about him. Aiden noticed and stopped walking. He put his index and thumb on my chin and lifted my face. Making me look at him.
"What do you know? Does this have anything to do with yesterday?"
I glared at him and tried to yank my chin out of his hold. "Nothing." I sneered.
Aiden yanked my face back up. "What happened, Killian?"
I froze and gaped at him. He never called me by my name. Tears slowly built up in my eyes. A teardrop slipped down my cheek.
At the sight Aiden gasped and let me go. "Sweetheart." He began.
I didn't give him time to finish. I turned toward Raiven and buried my face into his chest. He put one arm around my waist and the other on my head.
"It's ok, Lil bit." He tried to sooth me. I burst out sobbing.
"I did nothing wrong." I cried. "Something did happen yesterday but I didn't want to tell you since I took care of it."
Raiven rubbed my back. "What happened baby? Can you tell me?"
"I-I-I-I ran into C-Ca-Cameron yesterday." I cried.
Raiven nuzzled my cheek. "What happened?"
I gripped his shirt, clinging to it. "He-he wanted me to leave you. He-he said he-he was better for you."
Raiven's grip tightened around me. "Then?"
I hiccuped. "I t-told him a-about Azule. H-he ran o-off."
Raiven picked me up. I wrapped my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist. I buried my face into his neck.
"Thanks for telling me, baby. You did good." He rubbed my back.
Suddenly I heard a smack. "Next time, ask him gently. Don't get upset."
"I know I was wrong. I'm sorry."
"Don't tell me. You owe him now. You can sleep on the couch tonight." Raiven started walking. After a bit he stopped. "Do you want to go to the club or the room?" He asked me.
I pressed more into Raiven. "Room."
"Ok." He moved his hand from my back and ran it through my hair. "Aiden, go tell the club that he's not coming today."
"Ok." I then heard footsteps going away from us.
Raiven turned around and started walking again. When we got to the room he took us to the bed. He sat down. He kept me in his arms. I ended up straddling him.
My sobs got louder. It was a while before I heard the door open and close.
"Sweetheart."
My grip tightened around Raiven at that.
He pulled me closer. He then removed one arm. "Go." He soon replaced his arm.
I heard a sigh and retreating footsteps.
Raiven laid down on his back. I ended up laying on top of him. I cried so long I ended up falling asleep.
Raiven POV
I could feel the anger building. I couldn't believe he did that. He scared our omega. Once Killian fell asleep I laid him down on the bed. I stared down at him, watching him softly snore. I brushed his hair off his forehead and tucked it behind his ears. I leaned down and kissed his forehead.
When I stood up I looked over at the couch. I told Aiden to sit there when he walked in earlier. I marched over to him and smacked him on the head. He looked up at me. He knew not to stop me. He knew he deserved whatever I did to him.
"Why did you get mad at him?" I glared at him
He looked at his hands. He was wringing them. "I-I-I-I don't know. All I know is that he was hiding something and it involved Cameron."
I smacked him again. "So? Cameron was just someone you knew from the sessions. Killian's your mate. He's not the one for you to get mad at. Never."
"I'm sorry Raiven. I don't know what came over me. Cameron became my friend. It hurt to find out he started avoiding me. It hurt to find out my mate was the reason."
I gave him another smack. "You didn't even know that. You should have believed in him. Not make him out as the bad guy."
Aiden looked up at me pleadingly. "I know. I'm sorry I did. I'll make it up to him."
I glared down at him. "How? He thinks you hate him now."
He looked shocked and surprised. "What? Why?"
I crossed my arms. "You called him by his name. We never call him that unless he's in trouble."
His mouth opened into an O. "Oh."
"Yeah. Oh. That was the one thing that hurt him the most. That's why he wanted nothing to do with you"
