Chapter 368: Book 13: Part 21 – Pure Yang High God
At the same time, in the void just above the Yulan Plane, Ace floated before a rather large Divine Plane.
Finally, after over 2000 years, Ace had completed the fusion of Arianna's Divine Light Plane and Lauriella's Divine Fire Plane, but contrary to what one would expect, Ace wasn't smiling; in fact, the expression on his face was a deep frown.
Lauriella, Bluefire, and Arianna stood to Ace's rear, staring at Ace in confusion. Ace had managed to achieve something which not even an Overgod was capable of, and yet he didn't seem pleased. Even so, they could see he was deep in thought and chose not to disturb him.
Amira, on the other hand, didn't seem to mind. She casually floated over to him and slipped her hand in his.
Ace turned to her with a helpless smile and explained how he still couldn't figure it out.
Lauriella, Bluefire, and Arianna didn't understand what he meant, but with the bond of their souls, Amira clearly did.
She understood better than anyone just how much Ace had progressed now. Thanks to his seemingly perfect fusion of the two Divine Planes, not only had he comprehended nine Mandates of the Pure Yang, but he had even managed to fuse all of them.
What had him so confused was that he could sense that according to heaven, there were only a total of nine mandates for Pure Yang; as such, by all intents and purposes, not only should he have broken through to become a High God after comprehending all nine, seeing as he had also fused them, he should've directly become a paragon, and yet, he was still a mere Full God.
The Mandate of Pure Yang was unique in that some of them evolved directly from its Profound Mystery of Light or Fire, whilst others paired and fused with a Profound Mystery from the other Law:
Mandate 1: The Mandate of the Essence of Pure Yang – Fusion of: Law of Fire's Profound Mystery of the Essence of Fire Law of Light's Profound Mystery of the Essence of Light Mandate 2: The Mandate of Heat – Fire-based Mandate 3: The Mandate of Explosions – Fire-based Mandate 4: The Mandate of Soul Flames – Fire-based Mandate 5: The Mandate of Lightspeed – Light-based Mandate 6: The Mandate of Purity – Light-based Mandate 7: The Mandate of Yang Doppelganger – Light-based Mandate 8: The Mandate of Light-Bending (x500) – Fusion of: The Law of Light's Profound Mystery of Refraction The Law of Fire's Profound Mystery of Mirage Mandate 9: The Mandate of Yang-Body – Fusion of: The Law of Fire's Profound Mystery of Fire-Body The Law of Light's Profound Mystery of Light-Body
Even though he already knew the answer, Ace went through each mandate over and over in his mind, but the answer remained the same – be they fused or individually evolved, each profound mystery of Fire and Light was accounted for in his comprehension. This was the reason for his confusion.
As a soul-mutated paragon, Amira didn't understand either. Still, she knew that her paths and that of her husband were slightly different. She was truly just fusing two laws. Ace, on the other hand… although his new element operated similarly to that of a soul mutates fused element, his was truly a new element; as such, it was foolish to apply the same logic to the two.
Instead, she told Ace that he should try entering his new Divine Plane and see if he could glean anything from studying it that way.
Ace didn't hold out much hope, but it was better than nothing; as such, Ace calmly led Amira into the universe's first Divine Yang Plane, and as he did, his eyes widened in complete shock!
If the Pure Yang Essence spread through the rest of the universe was faint at best, in here, it was like a gushing tide, to the point where it was virtually impossible to sense the essence of any of the other Laws or Edicts, including that of Fire and Light. Still, that wasn't the reason for Ace's shock. Ace's focus was on something else entirely.
Even though he wouldn't have been able to create the plane without the help of Arianna and Lauriella, Ace was effectively the creator of the plane; as such, his connection with it was far from normal, but his connection with the Pure Yang Plane completely superseded that of the connection a Sovereign would have with a Divine Plane of their own creation.
Even without spreading his Godrealm, he could see every part of the whole plane – it was almost as if the Plane was actively transmitting information back to him.
Still, that wasn't what Ace was focusing on either. No, what Ace was focusing on was actually the gravity of the Divine Plane.
Although Amira could be considered a supreme expert and, as such, could all but ignore the gravity of just about every world in existence, it didn't mean she couldn't feel it, so when the gravity of the world suddenly disappeared, it took her by surprise, but even that was nothing compared to how she felt when the gravity suddenly returned, but instead of going from up to down, it went from down to up.
Gravity at that level was unable to so much as budge her, but that didn't do anything to take away from the shock she was feeling.
Looking at her husband, she saw that even though he hadn't moved and was still holding her hand in his, he had closed his eyes and entered a trance-like state.
As she felt the gravity change in not only intensity but also direction, she couldn't help but think about Reisgem and Faye. As far as she knew, the only ones with the ability to control the flow of gravity with so much freedom were the Amethyst Godbeasts, but that was when she remembered that the only reason Ace was able to survive the mutation of his Divine Spark was thanks to the support of the Amethyst stone given to him by Reisgem, a stone that allowed both Faye and Linley to show the gravitation manipulation ability unique to Amethyst Godbeasts.
With all of Ace's abilities, it was easy to forget that, theoretically, he should also be able to control gravity, especially as he wasn't an expert on the Laws of Earth.
Amira wasn't the only one who had forgotten; Ace had also forgotten, but the moment he entered the plane, he felt its gravity so closely that it was practically crying out to him. He only gave it a tug on a whim, but the effects shocked him, and that was when it hit him: when his original Divine Spark and Golden Sun Visual Manifestation fused, so too did Reisgem's Amethyst stone.
That was the reason why, despite his sensing that the element of Pure Yang only had nine mandates, he wasn't able to break through to become a High God Paragon – his Pure Yang actually had ten mandates.
The moment he came to that realisation, he delved into his gravity Mandate, determined to unearth all its potential – and between the way the gravity of his Divine Plane was speaking to him, it couldn't have been any easier.
Six hours later, Amira smiled helplessly as the natural laws descended around her husband.
If others thought he was a freak before, then who knows what they were going to think now?
It had to be remembered that, after he returned from his battle with Teresia, Ace had made the decision to focus on truly unearthing his potential by comprehending as many concepts of the Laws of Fire and Light as possible before focusing on his comprehension of Pure Yang.
And in no more than 300 years after that, the natural laws had descended around Ace a further six more times. In 300 years, Ace had comprehended a total of four concepts for both the laws of fire and light.
That alone increased his Willpower from 14 units to a mind-boggling total of 20 – matching that of an ordinary Lesser Sovereign who hadn't become a paragon. And now, thanks to his heavenly blessing, which would double his Willpower with every breakthrough in the realm, his new total had leapt to 40 – the same as a Lesser Sovereign – and that didn't include the effects of his Gol Clan's heaven-defying Divine Ability.
Opening his eyes, a satisfied smile appeared on Ace's body as he felt the overwhelming power coursing through his body – it was even better than he could imagine.
He was slightly disappointed that he couldn't break through to become a paragon before his breakthrough, but he had been so focused on comprehending the Mandate of Gravity that he hadn't had the awareness to stop himself in time. Still, it didn't matter much at all. In his eyes, becoming a paragon was only a matter of time.
For now, though, he was far more interested in going out to stretch his legs with his beautiful wife.
