Chapter 150: God of Tower
Primordial Seven was fast. But Julien's curse was mightier. It made the Primordial fall into a lot of troublesome situations and slowed his speed after a point.
The Lichtenstein ladies had almost caught up.
El thought of bringing administrative intervention, but she could feel a stronger connection with each floor clearance.
Not Primordial Seven possessing him, but Julien himself.
Floor 450 was eventually cleared.
It only took three years to clear two hundred floors. The fastest in Tower history. All thanks to the Primordial.
The ladies weren't much far either.
They had achieved god status and were catching up fast.
El even gave them newer cards whereas the Primordial had to work with what Julien had and a few of his cards hidden within the Tower.
Eventually, all but Floor 500 was cleared.
Floor 500 was the final showdown.
The higher gods that ruled over this floor were the bosses one had to fight to clear it.
The quest clearance was vague. It did not state whether they had to be killed or not to clear the floor, but as Julien was possessed by the Primordial, he went for the kill.
In the midst of the battle, the ladies caught up.
They suppressed Julien while fighting the gods and during battle, Julien seized the chance and took control of his body.
He suppressed Primordial Seven within him and with El's help, absorbed him, leveling up.
Having newfound power, he defeated the higher gods and eventually came to know of a truth.
These were the beings that had created the misfortune Arcana Card. Not directly, but they were responsible for it still.
They were trying to create a card which brought immense good luck, but due to the restrictions of the Tower, a card of immense misfortune came out as well.
The two cards then slipped out and hit two children, one of them being Julien.
It was all a coincidence and they hadn't done it purposely.
Such was the case. Such was definitely the case, yet, still, Julien couldn't forgive these bastards.
Due to them, he had suffered endlessly.
What wrong had he done to deserve this?
What trouble had he ever caused anyone to deserve such misfortune?
Why was he made to suffer so many tragedies?
He had been through multiple deaths already, and he knew that even in death, there was no solace for someone like him.
All of this. All of this was because some bastards wanted to hoard all the good luck in the world and become powerful.
Julien couldn't forgive them.
He brought Emil into the picture and made him fight alongside to nullify the effects.
Emil was quite useless when his card wasn't working.
This twink bastard had never bothered to learn any martial arts of defense styles to protect himself.
In a real battle without luck, he couldn't do anything.
That was fine.
Julien kept him so that his bad luck wouldn't flare anymore and create more trouble.
With the power of Primordial Seven, and by clearing so many floors, he was quite strong to take on all of these higher gods.
His family helped too, and together, they killed the higher gods to clear the Floor.
Upon the floor clearance, a notification rang out universally, titling Julien as the God of Tower.
The world around Julien changed.
It was just him and El above an endless expanse of ocean. Above were clear blue skies and in front of Julien was El, sitting on a red lotus and looking at him with a smirk.
This brought back memories from the past.
El had fulfilled her promise of the contract. It was now Julien's turn to give her the one thing she would ask for.
To be honest, it was not one request that El made.
She was as shameless as ever.
However, her very first request brought tears into Julien's eyes.
El wanted to be free.
She asked for freedom.
El was the will of the Tower. She had taken over the body of a random girl called Anastasia and now she wanted to be free from the confines of the Tower, despite being the Will of the Tower itself.
It was quite strange, but Julien could understand.
Her poor lady had suffered quite a lot due to being a mere will.
Along with her, even the girl Anastasia had suffered.
Before Julien granted her the wish, El asked for a name too. As she was a will, she had no name.
Julien merely rolled his eyes and said her name was El, then got to fulfilling her request as the God of the Tower.
El was separated from Anastasia.
Anastasia was just a young girl, and having regained herself, she bawled her eyes out and began hitting Julien.
Her throwing fists did not hurt Julien. He hugged her and comforted her.
El, who was now free, could look however she wished in her new body.
She ended up choosing Anastasia's look. She was too attached to it now and couldn't part ways.
Also, it would be easier to explain that El had a twin sister called Anastasia who looked identical.
Eventually, it was a wrap to all things.
Julien went to tie some loose ends, and after becoming the God of Tower, he was above the Arcana Cards.
He destroyed the misfortune and fortune cards together.
Emil was now an ordinary constellation. Quite weak, but a constellation nonetheless.
His wife loved him regardless of his strength and he never made any enemies, so his life from there on was peaceful.
The Lichtenstein name echoed far and wide. The ladies of the family were happy.
Julien also ensured to reward Uriel for standing up for him.
Amelia's blindness was cured. The ones responsible for it were killed.
Jackie didn't have to appear the way she was. She was free to express herself as a woman and stopped hiding.
She was shocked to see that nobody was surprised to see her new appearance.
Everyone already knew she was a lady and weren't fazed.
Gaining her freedom, El was free to do whatever she wanted.
The first thing she did was harass her only best friend, Eleanor.
Eleanor couldn't be with her son because she was dragged into multiple activities by El such as sightseeing, ramen eating, and so on.
Primordial Seven that was inside Julien was called out and turned into a Floor Guardian.
Julien also worked for a few years to reset the Tower Floors.
He made an open challenge, stating he would be happy to give his title if someone came all the way to Floor 500 and cleared it.
The days to come were all happy.
Julien lived with his harem of beauties and after becoming the God of Tower, finally realized that his system wasn't simply the lust system.
It was called Eternal•Lust system. There was the word Eternal attached to it.
Julien was not on one but two paths.
He achieved being an Eternal, and felt that he was still lacking in the Lust part.
Thus, he dragged his harem into his bed and began cultivating.
El and the poor Anastasia weren't spared either.
All the ladies got to see an Archangel's embarrassing side due to Julien.
Amelia, who was on a path to be a top tier priestess and find god, became god herself.
She couldn't find the power she worshipped, but that was fine too. She now became the one she wished existed and helped the ones like her.
Jackie was Goddess of Stealth and Assassination. She was a spiritual being and someone who all assassins looked up to.
Eleanor, Katherine, Leona, Lorene, Rosalynn… all became mighty goddesses too.
As the years passed, everyone associated with Julien became a god and lived on Floor 500, overseeing everything within the Tower.
The ladies got pregnant and had children.
The were lovely and cute. Julien couldn't believe that being a father was so fun.
He took care of them until they were eighteen years old, and eventually told them that their memories would be sealed and they would be sent to the lower worlds.
From there, they would have to work their way up to Floor 500.
Julien and their mothers would come see them time to time, but they wouldn't be aware of it.
The children that agreed to this challenge were sent. Those that didn't got very bored and after watching their siblings have fun adventures, eventually left as well.
Julien spent his days happily with his family on Floor 500.
There was no need to cry due to a burning stomach.
There was no need to find food in the trash.
There was no need to wear ragged clothes.
There was no need to worry about the orphanage catching fire.
There was no need to worry about his parents dying in a car crash.
There was no need to worry about being lonely.
There was no need to worry about being unfortunate.
There was no misfortune.
[The End]
