Gravity falls : I am … Stan pines !

Chapter 2: Chapter 2: The situation is more complex than expected.

Stan's POV.

"Mmm, it smells good," Mabel declares as she comes into the kitchen.

"Where have you and Dipper been?" I say simply while cooking.

"We had a crazy day, but wait a minute... This is the first time you've shown interest in our days outside the Mystery Shack," Dipper says, squinting at me.

"Is it weird to be interested in the day of the kids living under my roof when I haven't seen them all day?" I replied, looking at him like an idiot.

"Sorry..." Dipper apologized, slightly embarrassed.

I really forgot how irresponsible Stan is. I'd better be more careful about my behavior around Dipper and the others.

"You still haven't answered the question," I say, looking at them. The twins looked at each other and nodded their heads at the same time before wanting to answer me.

They're really dumb, they think I won't see them making signs when they're right in front of me.

"Uncle Stan, I..." Dipper wanted to speak, but I interrupted him.

"Forget it, I can smell the lie," I say, taking the food off the fire.

"Don't just stand there, go take a shower and come eat," I declare to them as I set the table.

I had to wash it before I started cooking, original Stan had forgotten to take care of it.

"Okay," Mabel and Dipper respond at the same time before quickly heading to the attic.

"I feel like a single father, but I haven't gotten any woman pregnant... yet," I mutter thoughtfully as I continue my tasks.

After dinner with the twins, I waited until late at night to go to Ford's basement, or more precisely to journal number 1.

I needed to learn about the situation and the things around me, and I know the show didn't show everything. I must be careful and proceed methodically.

That's also why I didn't just confiscate Dipper's journal number 3 and attack Gideon during the night to recover number 2.

I don't know much about Gravity Falls, I wasn't a die-hard fan, since I just watched the show and listened to a few theories about it.

"So here's the famous journal, let's see your secrets," I say as I flip through the pages.

There wasn't anything interesting enough to catch my attention for now, but it was temporary. I discovered things that should make me rethink my plans.

Like for example "the Crawlspace" which Ford seems to ignore the location of. I'll just interrogate a gnome about it.

"No, no, it wasn't just a rumor on the forums," I mutter, gritting my teeth.

I opened my phone to check if Ford has, without knowing it, discovered an extremely dangerous dimension close to ours, and unfortunately, I was right.

"According to my Google Maps, there is indeed a town called Gravesfield in the state of Connecticut," I say, slightly worried.

I'm not only going to have to deal with Gravity Falls and Bill, but also take a trip to a dimension full of witches and demons.

"Don't panic, old man. Just tell yourself that there are sexy witches waiting for you and not an overpowered kid capable of warping reality and possessing other unknown powers," I mutter as I close the journal.

I went back to sleep after searching around a bit for something Stan might have missed, but nothing interesting was found by me.

"Today, you're free. I have too many things to do," I say, sending Soos and Wendy home.

I need to find that damn mushroom and if possible recruit some useful people.

"But usually, I spend my weekdays working with you outside of weekends," Soos says, slightly confused.

"A piece of advice, kid: find yourself a girlfriend and you'll never lack something to do. Haha!" I say, laughing and lightly hitting Soos on the shoulder.

"I've never had any luck with girls..." he tried to explain, but I stopped him before a stupid flashback could appear. You never know with these Disney fictional universes.

"I don't want to know. You're a good guy, and if you play your cards right, I'm sure you'll find one," I say as I head to my car.

As expected, Wendy didn't try to argue about working today and left quickly after hearing the words "no work today".

I got into the car to head towards one of the rare waterfalls in the area. I had a few knives, a metal bat, but also a pig whistle in my hands.

"How did Stan manage to keep his driver's license with such advanced cataracts?" I mutter, annoyed by my extremely limited vision.

Despite some problems along the way, I finally found one of the rare waterfalls of Gravity Falls.

I took off my clothes to avoid them getting wet while crossing the waterfall, and frankly, my current physique motivates me even more to hurry up and evolve quickly in this world.

"Wow, it's really beautiful to see," I say, observing the mushrooms around me glowing with a purple light in the darkness.

I just picked up a few and left. I don't want to explore this cave for now.

I don't want to come across something that could be a big problem for the current me.

On the way back, I wonder about various things, like for example if I should really bring Ford back to our world.

I can just ignore him and enjoy the wonders of Gravity Falls alone, but every time I think about it, I can't help but feel a lot of remorse. It seems that Stan's spirit has affected me with his memories.

"It's the best thing to do," I mutter, looking at the road with mixed thoughts.

After getting back, I didn't find Mabel and Dipper. From the sounds, I think they're in the attic.

I simply quickly entered Ford's hideout and hid the mushroom safely to avoid an accident happening like in the case with Mabel's pig.

"I should now take a tour of the town," I say, looking at my stomach.

There wasn't much left in the kitchen after I cooked breakfast for Mabel and Dipper before leaving to look for the mushrooms.

I also had to see if I could capture a gnome or a member of the secret society "Society of the Blind Eye" to learn more about the supernatural aspect of Gravity Falls, but also to steal their memory gun.

"No, I shouldn't rush," I say, shaking my head.

Getting the mushroom easily has given me too much confidence. I must first consume the mushroom tonight like the pig.

I won't explore Gravity Falls in depth until after I've become a genius.

I ended up simply going to town to buy food for me and the kids, but also to buy the CD containing a certain supernatural AI.

"I really hope this thing doesn't blow up in my face," I mutter while driving and glancing at Giffany.

It didn't cost me much, but I had to buy a console to use it and now I don't have much money left.

"Money won't be a problem soon."
