Great Demon Sun Wukong

Chapter 829: The End

After fusing the Five Elements Power of Tang Sanzang and others, combined with the Power of the Twin Spirits from the Through-back Ape and Red-Buttocked Horse Monkey, Sun Wukong finally awakened his true strength, Primordial Honor. Sun Wukong also reached the realm of Primordial Honor, and it was indeed true Primordial Honor. Not only was Sun Wukong shocked by his own power, but even the Blast Heaven Phoenix, suppressing the soon-to-explode Battle Venerate in a state of Soul and Essence, was surprised.

No one expected that after a million years, the universe would again reveal a Primordial Honor, and a true Primordial Honor at that. This was indeed a great irony. The pioneers and Underworld Venerate spent immeasurable costs in their quest for eternity, taking the entire universe as collateral to obtain the Battle Venerate's Primordial Honor inheritance. But in the end, both met a miserable fate; not only did they lose their lives, but they were also obliterated, leaving no trace in this universe.

Once people die, they have nothing left, regardless of how many designs were planned; once dead, everything resets to zero. The pioneers and the Underworld Venerate were no different; they paid too high a price seeking eternity, only to inadvertently pave the way for Sun Wukong. All their deliberate and unintended plans intertwined and affected each other, ultimately bestowing Sun Wukong with eternal power, surpassing the Battle Venerate, the true power of Primordial Honor.

Turbulence in life, fate's twists and turns; who can truly see through them? Just like in this Fang Universe, akin to the destiny dragon that only appeared in legends; if this Nine-Headed Dragon could indeed manage fate at will as rumored, why couldn't the destiny dragon escape its own fall? If fate can truly be controlled, it wouldn't have been overpowered by the Annihilation Nine Headed Serpent; even after acquiring the destiny power of the dragon, the serpent didn't gain omniscience.

Even with destiny power, there were still many things beyond the Annihilation Nine Headed Serpent's prediction. Of course, Zhibei, as the Divine Oracle, could seemingly foresee more of the future or destiny than the Nine-Headed Dragon; however, the cost Zhibei paid to reverse fate by peering into the future was something the serpent could never accept.

However things unfolded, Sun Wukong eventually caught up before the Battle Venerate exploded, breaking through to the realm of Primordial Honor. It was indeed an unfortunate blessing. If it weren't for Zhibei sacrificing his life for reversing fate's power, Tang Sanzang wouldn't have known that their Five Elements Power could significantly enhance Sun Wukong's strength, making Zhibei, in a sense, the true Savior.

Though Sun Wukong felt a torrent of emotions, he knew it wasn't the time for sentimentality. Seeing the body of Primordial Honor expanding like a monster, while the soul and essence of the Blast Heaven Phoenix grew fainter, Sun Wukong realized time was short. "Rotating five elements, myriad things evolving into heavens, five elements form formation, spirit acts as guide; by my Holy Venerable name, I seal thou forever herein." In a few brief sentences, Sun Wukong transformed into something peculiar, an absolute authority of an upper being.

Accompanying Sun Wukong's words, his body had already risen to a height of a hundred meters, looking down at the progenitor below, Sun Wukong steadily pressed his palm upon the Primordial Honor. The scene was incredibly familiar, reminiscent of when Tathagata suppressed Sun Wukong with overwhelming power for five hundred years from high above. Now, tables turned; while the Primordial Honor wasn't Sun Wukong, and Sun Wukong wasn't Tathagata, they shared eerie resemblance.

Was it destiny's doing or Sun Wukong's intention? As Sun Wukong's palm descended, a millstone-sized palm shadow crashed down, crushing the Primordial Honor and Blast Heaven Phoenix's essence beneath. Upon landing, the palm shadow rapidly grew into an enormous peak, tens of thousands of meters high. This peak had five mountain veins and appeared cylindrical, akin to a descended palm.

Unlike the Five-Finger Mountain that suppressed Sun Wukong, resembling an upright palm with fingers pointing skyward, the mountain suppressing Primordial Honor was a palm resting on the ground. With Sun Wukong's current power, even if the Battle Venerate regained peak strength, Sun Wukong wasn't fearful. Although both were Primordial Honor, the gap between false and true Primordial Honor was vast. Despite possessing the power to crush Primordial Honor, Sun Wukong showed no hesitation nor offered any chance to Primordial Honor.

Even a lion gives its all against a rabbit, not to mention against a Primordial Honor. Sun Wukong had already learned from his carelessness. However, sealing Primordial Honor with the Five-Finger Mountain was just the first step; the Five-Finger Mountain alone wasn't enough for complete suppression. "Master, Bajie, Old Sha, Little White Dragon, Six-Eared, form the Five Elements Heaven-Sealing Formation, fully suppress Primordial Honor."

As Sun Wukong's words fell, Tang Sanzang and the others changed their Magical Decrees. The five-colored light pillars, originally connected with Sun Wukong, suddenly branched centrally. Since Sun Wukong had ascended to the top of the immense Five-Finger Mountain and Tang Sanzang and the others had long stood in five different directions, the newly formed light pillar encompassed the mountain.

The five light pillars landed at five directions but soon faded. Yet where they touched ground, five statues appeared, each in varied colors, looking rather strange. These statues weren't randomly formed; they took the likenesses of Tang Sanzang, Zhu Bajie, Sha Wujing, White Dragon, and Six-Eared Macaque as their prototypes.

Thus, statues of Tang Sanzang and the others secured the Five-Finger Mountain's five directions. As the light pillars evaporated, a grey hazy light suddenly burst from Sun Wukong's body, shooting skyward. When the light vanished, atop the mountain where Sun Wukong had previously sat, stood a statue of Sun Wukong, hundred meters tall, legs crossed, and equally shrouded in grey haze.

From Sun Wukong's statue at the center, intricate patterns began appearing on the statues of Tang Sanzang and others. These patterns resembled chains, linking the statues, converging upon Sun Wukong's statue as though imprisoning the mountain. Once the chains were fully linked, they gradually submerged into the mountain's body. Sun Wukong, sitting atop his statue's head, finally exhaled deeply.

At last, it ended; everything finally came to a close. Sun Wukong gently patted the statue beneath him, then suddenly laughed, recalling a similar statue in front of the Water Curtain Cave of Flower Fruit Mountain.

Fueled by the Five Elements Power of Tang Sanzang and the others, the supreme sealing grand formation was complete. Sun Wukong further tied the Destiny of this Fang Universe to the Five-Finger Mountain. As long as this Fang Universe wasn't destroyed, the mountain's seal wouldn't break. Of course, if the Fang Universe met destruction, the emergence of Primordial Honor would be meaningless.

This was the best solution Sun Wukong could conceive; having broken through to Primordial Honor, even a false Primordial Honor possessed the indestructible power of soul and essence. Though Sun Wukong attained true Primordial Honor, he couldn't thoroughly annihilate the Primordial Honor, leaving suppression as the sole option.

Certainly, another method was there—a potential of completely stripping the spirit in Primordial Honor's head and distributing it randomly. However, Sun Wukong was cautious, fearing the Primordial Honor's spirit, its inheritance, might reemerge. Humanity's unpredictability was alarmingly real, stirring chaos if such a scenario occurred.

Having completed everything, the persistent oppression in Sun Wukong's heart gradually dissipated, realizing the true end had arrived.

The extraordinary arduous battle finally concluded.

Some perished, some lived; those who died were eternally remembered by the living, for they were all heroes. As for himself, Sun Wukong shook his head.

He, Sun Wukong, was never a hero; he lacked his master's ambition to save all beings nor possessed the great power to rescue them from peril. His sole hope was for those around him not to be harmed; through this simple thought, Sun Wukong marched forward.

From a naive little monkey, he grew into the true pinnacle-standing Primordial Honor, reaching the Supreme Path's end. Sun Wukong lost far too much, irretrievable losses.

Behind him, the scarlet cape, several meters long, moved without wind. Unknown light pierced through the somber, gloomy sky, shining upon Sun Wukong. (To be continued.
