Chapter 840: Strong Body
While Anna and her entourage were settling in Adam's manor, his students arrived in the same quarter, bringing along his friends.
Garden Cafe was a renowned restaurant and served the best wine in the city. It was owned by Enzana Feno, a Mana Liquefaction Magus, and also the sister of one of the Councilors of Ravenfell, Nylian Feno.
The cafe radiated elegance and charm, blending natural beauty with an aura of refined sophistication. Elves did have a flair for aesthetics, after all.
The building was two-storey tall, boasting a stone exterior with beautiful carvings of leaves, vines, and flowers.
Tall, arched windows allowed passersby to glimpse the cozy interior. Delicate flowers grew in the planters outside, radiating a pleasant smell for all nearby.
Garden Cafe was one of the best places to dine in the city, allowing it to maintain an air of exclusivity.
With the Grand Magus Tournament around the corner, the cafe's prestige soared even more, causing vast numbers of people to gather here every evening.
Naturally, all those who came here were naturally very affluent and influential Magi from all across the Ulier Continent.
Also, the fact that the owner of the cafe had a familial relationship with a member of the Council of Seven naturally attracted customers.
But mostly, they were here for the delicious food and the cafe's signature wine, Eclipse Nectar.
It was undoubtedly the best wine one could find in these lands. Well, of course, except for the ones made by Adam.
A long queue occupied the entrance of the cafe. The vast majority of the people were tourists.
Somewhere near the back of the queue, Adam's students, Eleiney, Arthur, and Aiden, stood with his friends, Edward and Lisa, and Biden.
"You must trust me!" Arthur spoke animatedly. "It's worth the wait. The food is simply… too good!"
Aiden nodded from the side. "And also the wine. The wine here is the best in the city."
"Best in the city?" Edward looked at the two young men with dubious eyes. "Have the two of you never tried Adam's wine?"
According to him, Adam's brewing skills were unsurpassed. So he was having a difficult time believing that the cafe would have the 'best wine in the city.'
Arthur and Aiden exchanged glances, before the former said, "No, teacher never allowed us to drink wine back then."
Eleiney added with a light chuckle, "In fact, he tried his best not to drink wine in front of us. We were still young back then, and he didn't want to set a bad example."
She paused, then covered her mouth, grinning, "But everyone in Ravenfell knows what a drunkard he is."
Lisa's heart was warmed. She appreciated the fact that Adam refrained from consuming liqour in front of his students.
And from the looks of it, he had raised three fine Magi.
While she was chatting with Eleieny, Edward and Biden were chatting with the boys.
The blue-eyed young man couldn't help but look at the two and frown. "What is wrong with your bodies? Have you not been eating?"
Biden, who was standing beside him, couldn't help but roll his eyes.
Here we go again, he thought.
Both Aiden and Arthur glanced at themselves, and then at each other, wondering what Edward was talking about.
Arthur couldn't help but ask, "What… do you mean? I think we've been eating just fine."
Edward couldn't help but sneer, pointing at his thin arms. "Then why are you so lanky? You look malnourished! Do you both not do strength training? Has Adam not told you the importance of a strong body?"
"Eh?" Arthur and Aiden were dazed. "Strength training? Why?"
Here it comes, Biden thought.
"Because…" Edward began, his expression turning extremely solemn.
He raised his chin, gazing into the distance. He then slowly raised his hands and flexed his biceps. The veins on his arms bulged with intensity.
"Men must be strong!"
Arthur and Aiden had their mouths agape as they stared blankly at the tall and sturdy young man flexing his muscles.
What's wrong with him? Is he one of those muscle heads?
The same thought echoed in both their minds.
Right at that moment, Lisa's exasperated voice could be heard. "Eddie… please stop!"
"Fine, fine." Edward lowered his arms and stood straight. But he still continued to flex, his eyes flickering with pride as he gazed at Aiden and Arthur.
"This is how men must be," he said with a cocky smirk.
He is so weird!
Aiden and Arthur thought simultaneously.
The queue moved awfully slowly, but none of the people had left. Even though it might take them a long time to get a table, they would make sure to try the food and wine and leave.
Such was the fame of Garden Cafe.
After a certain period of time, a small group of elves dressed in fine, luxurious garments arrived at the restaurant.
However, instead of waiting in line, they straight away headed towards the doors to the cafe. Many people standing in the queue frowned at this development.
After all, they had been patiently standing in line for a long time, and to see someone skip the line annoyed them greatly.
Some remained silent, patiently waiting for the guards by the entrance to teach this group of elves a lesson. Others berated them for their behavior.
While only a select few, mostly the local residents, had a look of understanding on their faces.
Suddenly, the elf leading the group, a beautiful young woman with ash-blonde hair and silver eyes, stopped beside Edward, Lisa, and the rest.
This elven young woman's gaze landed on Eleiney, her eyes flashing with slight surprise.
"Aren't you Adam's student?" She asked, her voice calm and soothing to the ears.
Eleiney hadn't noticed this group of elves arrive near them as she was busy chatting with Lisa. When she heard those words, she turned towards the source of the voice.
When she gazed at the beautiful silver-eyed elf, she was slightly taken aback. "Lady Qamara! What a pleasant surprise!"
The elf's expression softened, no longer as flat and detached. "You may simply call me Qamara," she said.
Her gaze then shifted to Aiden and Arthur, recognizing them as Adam's students. Then, she turned towards Edward, Biden, and finally Lisa.
Her gaze lingered a moment longer on this beautiful blonde young woman with emerald eyes.
"Adam's friends?" She asked curiously.
Lisa displayed a perfunctory smile and nodded. "Indeed."
"Very well." Qamara nodded ever so slightly. "No need to wait in line. Follow me."
With that said, she, along with the group of elves, moved towards the cafe's entrance.
Edward, Biden, and Lisa were confused.
Didn't they have to stand in line?
Why is that silver-haired elf so confidently cutting the line?
"Let's go!" Eleiney said excitedly. She gently grabbed Lisa's arms and followed behind the group under the confused and dumbfounded gazes of the rest of the people in line.
"What's happening?" Biden asked in confusion, but he followed behind Eleiney nonetheless.
Arthur looked at him and chuckled, "She's the owner of Garden Cafe. Uh, technically, her aunt is. But you know what I mean."
As the two groups approached the cafe's entrance, Lisa couldn't help but lean in and whisper, "Is she Adam's friend?"
Eleiney's eyes gleamed with a gossipy spark, and she secrelty weaved hand seals, casting Mind Whisper.
'Lisa, do you want to know something?'
Hearing the excited voice echo in her mind, Lisa's curiosity was instantly piqued. She turned to Eleiney, raising an eyebrow and gesturing for her to continue.
Eleiney's lips curled into a mischievous smirk.
'There were rumors… about Mentor and Qamara having an affair!'
