Chapter 19: Chapter 19: Temptation
"Cough... cough..."
The severely injured Zhu Zhuqing collapsed on the ground, coughing violently. Her large chest heaved with each cough, the movement so pronounced that it drew the attention of onlookers.
She joined the Heaven Dou Royal Academy a week ago, determined to grow stronger. Upon discovering the benefits of the simulation training ground, she immediately began her training there.
Over the past week, she had engaged in training battles with simulated soul beasts of comparable strength at least five times, sustaining significant injuries each time.
Today marked her sixth training session, and she had hoped to defeat four soul beasts of equal strength, but to her dismay, she had failed once again.
At this moment, her soul power was nearly depleted, and her severe injuries left her too weak to move, forcing her to lie on the ground and wait for her soul power to recover before she could return for treatment.
It was then that Tang Yin approached Zhu Zhuqing, crouching down to examine her closely. Her fair skin was delicate, and the black leather outfit she wore accentuated her stunning figure.
Zhu Zhuqing was indeed beautiful, captivating anyone who looked at her, especially now as she lay helpless on the ground, her ample bosom prominently displayed by the tight-fitting leather. Her slender waist and long, shapely legs were flawless.
"Are you Zhu Zhuqing?" Tang Yin asked flatly. Zhu Zhuqing was one of the targets of his Green Light System. He found her striking figure, cold yet sexy demeanor, and resolute personality intriguing, and he had no intention of letting her slip away.
Zhu Zhuqing, lying on the ground, assumed Tang Yin was a student from the Heaven Dou Royal Academy.
His handsome appearance gave her a slight sense of goodwill, and he didn't seem like the spoiled rich kids she had encountered before, so she responded with a soft "Mm."
"I will recover soon and won't hinder your use of the simulation training ground; you can wait a moment," she said, her voice cool and distant.
"You lying here won't affect me," Tang Yin replied casually, his gaze shifting away from her.
He then used his soul power to lift the identity badge that Zhu Zhuqing had dropped when she fell and placed it into the core of the simulation training ground.
The scene in the simulation training room changed instantly. Four simulated leopard soul beasts, equal in strength to Zhu Zhuqing, appeared, their blood-red eyes glaring at Tang Yin and the incapacitated Zhu Zhuqing.
"What are you doing?" Zhu Zhuqing glared angrily at Tang Yin, who had inexplicably appeared and taken her identity badge to restart the simulation training ground.
If she weren't injured and unable to move, she would have attacked him.
"I'm just curious; you exerted so much effort and still couldn't defeat these four simulated soul beasts, so I wanted to see how strong they are," Tang Yin said, his expression calm as he regarded the four simulated leopard soul beasts.
At this moment, Zhu Zhuqing and Dai Mubai, who had previously abandoned her, seemed to be reconciling.
Tang Yin wanted to take advantage of this situation to win Zhu Zhuqing over, a woman with a strong will and a relentless pursuit of strength, by targeting her weaknesses, such as her desire to grow stronger.
He looked at the four simulated leopard soul beasts and beckoned them with his fingers. Provoked, the simulated leopard soul beasts roared and charged at Tang Yin.
"Wait..." As Zhu Zhuqing saw the four soul beasts attacking Tang Yin, she wanted to warn him, but before she could speak, she noticed that Tang Yin had generated a green energy blade in his hand and vanished in an instant.
The speed was so fast that she could barely see him.
She only heard a series of swishing sounds. The four simulated leopard soul beasts, which she had struggled to defeat even while injured, had been effortlessly scattered like stardust before her eyes.
"This..." Zhu Zhuqing was momentarily stunned. When she joined the Heaven Dou Royal Academy, she had encountered someone named Xue Peng who had obstructed them.
Although she had successfully joined the academy, she was well aware of the quality of the students there. Aside from the Royal Fighting Team she had met in Soto City, most noble offspring had average talent and strength.
Yet, this handsome young man who had appeared out of nowhere, around her age, had effortlessly defeated four simulated soul beasts of equal strength without even releasing his martial soul or using any soul skills... Who exactly was he?
Having been at Heaven Dou Royal Academy for a week, Zhu Zhuqing was certain she had never seen Tang Yin before.
"Too weak," Tang Yin shook his head, dissipating the energy blade and retrieving Zhu Zhuqing's identity badge from the core of the simulation training room.
Zhu Zhuqing, still lying on the ground, found his words quite strange; it felt as if he was criticizing her.
"Here," Tang Yin returned her identity badge and released some energy to help heal her injuries. Before long, Zhu Zhuqing felt her strength returning, and she was able to stand up.
"Thank you!" Although she didn't know Tang Yin, she was grateful for his assistance in healing her.
"Don't misunderstand; I just borrowed your identity badge to return a favor," he replied. "But for such weak soul beasts, you struggled to defeat three while heavily injured. Your strength is... tsk tsk, really lacking."
"Also, as a sensitive attack-type soul master, your movements are too loud, your stance unsteady, and your attacks hesitant—it's quite poor." Tang Yin had only watched Zhu Zhuqing fight the leopard soul beasts for a short while but had already identified some of her shortcomings.
He scoffed at the master who had taught her, Yu Xiaogang.
Zhu Zhuqing wanted to retort but, upon reflection, realized that his words held some truth. She stared at Tang Yin with curiosity in her cold eyes.
Tang Yin ignored her gaze. He understood Zhu Zhuqing's background and what she needed. Using this as bait, he thought it was not impossible to win her over.
Thinking of the Green Light System, his red and blue enchanting eyes fixed on Zhu Zhuqing as he spoke enticingly:
"Do you want to become stronger? Strong enough to change your fate. Strong enough to control your own life. If you do, you can come find me in the future."
"Oh, by the way, my name is Tang Yin. I just joined the Heaven Dou Royal Academy today, so we can consider ourselves classmates. We will meet again soon." With that, Tang Yin turned and left.
He felt a pang of longing for his step mother. Since his brother Tang San was at the Heaven Dou Royal Academy, as Tang San's older brother, he needed to take good care of his step mother tonight, ensuring her happiness.
As for Zhu Zhuqing, as long as she wanted to grow stronger and change her fate, she would eventually come looking for him. He was in no hurry.
Zhu Zhuqing watched Tang Yin's departing figure, his words echoing in her mind. Becoming stronger, strong enough to change her fate, strong enough to control her destiny—this had always been her pursuit.
However, she was Zhu Zhuqing, and her nature prevented her from blindly believing in Tang Yin's words based solely on a few phrases. Yet, his words left a deep impression on her mind.
...
Meanwhile, in the Heaven Dou Royal Academy's teacher's office, Ah Yin, guided by a teacher from the academy, had arrived at her office and was getting familiar with her surroundings.
After tidying up a few things, she planned to leave to find her adopted son Tang Yin, prepare dinner for him, and then rest. Just then, there was a knock at the door.
Knock knock!!
"Hello, is the new teacher Ah Yin here?" Outside stood a man who appeared to be around thirty years old, with an ordinary appearance, simple brown short hair, and plain clothing.
He was none other than Qin Ming, a teacher at the Heaven Dou Royal Academy. He had received a notice from the education committee to communicate with the new teacher Ah Yin and introduce her to the students the next day.
He was particularly curious because he had heard from three members of the education committee that Ah Yin was a Soul Sage.
Creak—
The door opened. As Qin Ming looked inside the office, he was greeted by a beautiful face. Dressed in a flowing blue gown, Ah Yin exuded a gentle and captivating aura that made Qin Ming's heart race.
Just one glance, and he felt his heartbeat quicken as he gazed at the woman before him.
"Who are you?" Ah Yin asked, puzzled by the man staring at her.
Qin Ming snapped back to reality and stammered, "Oh... you... hello, I am Qin Ming, a teacher at the Heaven Dou Royal Academy. The education committee sent me to discuss some matters with you."
"Hello, Teacher Qin. What is it about?" Ah Yin asked, not paying much attention to the way Qin Ming looked at her; after all, she couldn't control how others perceived her.
"It's like this: the education committee knows you are a Soul Sage and a new teacher, so they want to introduce you to our academy's students tomorrow," Qin Ming explained, relaying what the education committee had told him.
"Okay, I understand. Thank you for informing me, Teacher Qin," Ah Yin replied gently before turning to leave the office. She sensed that Tang Yin was coming her way.
Qin Ming watched Ah Yin's departing figure, lost in thought for a long time. "I didn't expect such a beautiful woman to be a Soul Sage," he couldn't help but praise.
