Thus, the two sisters came up with a rather cruel plan. But the two of them have to do this to make sure that Second Madam Yu would think twice before doing the same thing to Yu Tong again. They could not afford to let Second Madam Yu force Yu Tong into another marriage match.

No sooner did she pull Yu Tong up, Lin Hanjing who was standing right behind her, rushed over to Yu Tong and hugged her.

"Why…why did you have to do something so foolish?" Lin Hanjing questioned with tears in his eyes. Just now when he saw Yu Tong jump from the cliff, he thought that he lost half of his life then and there.

Though he had never confessed his feelings to Yu Tong, he really cared for her. So, the second Yu Tong jumped down from the cliff, Lin Hanjing felt as if he was going to stop breathing that very second.

Only after seeing her completely safe and sound did Lin Hanjing feel a sense of relief wash over him.

Yu Tong who was hugged by Lin Hanjing felt like all her dreams had come true. Her face lit up and she was about to ask him if he had accepted her as his lover but before she could say anything, a sharp pain jolted her.

A second later her eyes rolled in her sockets and she fainted right and there.

"Oh Tong Tong, you are feeling tired after throwing such a ruckus?" Yu Dong who had chopped Yu Tong on the neck, smiled and said to the unconscious Yu Tong who was now lying in the arms of Lin Hanjing.

The villagers: "…" You were the one who knocked her unconscious!

"Looks like she is really tired after throwing such a fit," Yu Dong remarked as if she was not the one who threw a chop at Yu Tong's neck. She then picked up Yu Tong like a sack of rice and threw her over her shoulder before saying to Second Madam Yu, "I think we need to discuss something, come with me."

Second Madam Yu was furious when she heard Yu Dong's tone. The woman was behaving as if she was the elder here, Second Madam Yu opened her mouth to scold Yu Dong but her words were swallowed by her when she saw Old Madam Yu glare at her.

"Come with us," Old Madam Yu said to Second Madam Yu when she saw that the latter was still behaving atrociously. Such a ruckus happened because of her and she was still not aware of what she did wrong.

Second Madam Yu could act rudely to Yu Dong but she did not dare to snap at her mother. She pursed her lips and followed after the Yu family, Lin Hanjing looked at the back of the Yu family woman and hesitated for a while. But then he thought about something and chased after Yu Dong and the rest with a determined expression.

Once they all arrived at the Yu house, Yu Dong closed the door of the house as she did not want any more drama to be witnessed by the villagers.

She then turned to look at Second Madam Yu after closing the door and questioned, "Now, what do you think that we should do about this situation?"

Second Madam Yu pursed her lips and stubbornly insisted, "Ah Tong needs to marry that mer. If she does not then——"

"Then he would be locked up in a cage and drowned? Or maybe worse, he would be thrown in the forest and eaten by the wild animals, we know it," Old Madam Yu sneered as she looked at her daughter who looked shocked as if she was not expecting them to investigate Murong Si. "You have surely chosen a wonderful mer.

It was as if you were afraid that Ah Tong would back out of the marriage thus leaving her in this situation."

Second Madam Yu did not say anything. Because that was indeed her intention. She did not want Yu Tong to pull out of this marriage thus she deliberately chose a mer from the Murong family as they had the strictest law.

She had thought that she had considered everything but she did not think that her daughter would actually get drunk and then throw a tantrum like this! Now everyone would be even more contemptuous of her!

"I will agree to this marriage as I do not wish to see an innocent mer die but the condition is that Lin Hanjing be Yu Tong's official husband."
