"What is the meaning of this? Why are you laughing at me like that?" Second Madam Yu questioned the two women who were sitting on the stools opposite her.

Murong Tai arched a brow and then questioned Second Madam Yu, "Madam if your daughter listened to you so much then why did she not marry my brother just as you promised? She was supposed to take my brother as her official husband but she ended up throwing a tantrum at you and then forced you to accept the prostitute as her official husband."

"I haven't accepted him——" Second Madam Yu began but Old Madam Murong interrupted her and remarked mockingly, "With how your daughter and mother's relationship, I don't think she even cares about it. Most probably she thinks that it's a good thing that you are not poking your nose in her business."

Second Madam Yu trembled because of anger. She wanted to reprimand these two women for speaking too much but before she could do that, she heard Murong Tai say, "Your son studies in the academy right?"

"Don't you dare," Second Madam Yu felt as if someone had pressed the throbbing nerve in her body? She looked at Murong Tai with a glare and stated coldly, "If you dare to harm my son then I will certainly not stay quiet."

"I know but don't think that we will stay quiet as well," Murong Tai said to Second Madam Yu with a smile on her face. "You took the betrothal gifts that were supposed to be handed to Miss Tong and never breathed a word about it. Because of your actions, we lost all our faces in front of Madam Yu, I hope you will take out everything that was given to you."

"If you don't," Murong Tai trailed off with a vixen-like smile on her face. "Then I have no qualms in telling everyone that your son used the betrothal gifts to impress his teachers and scholars. I want to see how he will continue to study when that happens."

"You.." Second Madam Yu's voice shuddered because of the rage she felt but she could not fight with Murong Tai or Old Madam Murong who took their leave after they were relaying what they wanted to say to her.

Once they were gone, Second Madam Yu picked up the cup of tea placed in front of her and threw it down on the floor. It shattered into many pieces but no one in the house stepped out not even Old Master Tong who was now taking care of his newborn daughter.

When the mother-son pair came up with this awful plan, he told her that it would fail but neither of them heard a thing that he said to them, so what could he do now? This was the result of them trying to court death!

Since it was they who came up with that awful plan, they should be the ones taking care of it as well.

"You seem to be lost in thoughts," Song Yixu came to look for Ying Nan when she ran into Yu Dong who was sitting on the stone table outside of her house. She glanced at Yu Dong who seemed to be sipping on the tea that she was holding in her hand in a cup, but with a single glance, Song Yixu knew that Yu Dong was actually drinking the tea without even paying attention to what she was doing.

Yu Dong snapped out of her thoughts and then looked up at Song Yixu who arrived at some point. She smiled and asked, "When did you come, Lady Song?" She placed the cup of tea on the table just as Song Yixu sat down on the chair.

"I came just a few minutes ago," Song Yixu said to Yu Dong with a sigh. "I came to look for Ah Nan. But he went to the orchards to work, with your second husband and his brother."

"He is restless like that," Yu Dong turned to the mammy who was cleaning the chicken coop and asked her to arrange for tea and snacks for Song Yixu. She then turned to look at Song Yixu who sat opposite her and remarked, "He cannot sit still and insists on working just so you know. Don't start blaming me for making your beloved work."

"Hahaha," Song Yan waved her hand and then said to Yu Dong, "I know what he is like. I don't blame you, what can we do? Ah, Nan has always been pushed by his family to do this and that, because of that… he is used to working all day long. He cannot sit still even if he is given rest."

Yu Dong nodded.

As a gust of warm wind flew past them, Yu Dong's hair fluttered behind her. She raised her hand and then tucked the strand of hair that was floating in front of her eyes.

"What happened with his family?" Yu Dong questioned with a light tone and Song Yixu's face turned bright. She laughed lightly and then stated coldly, "They are getting their comeuppance. Those people have been relying on Ah Nan for even the smallest thing. Now they cannot even wipe their bottoms without cursing. Especially Old Madam Ying, she has been scolding her husband for chasing her son away."

"Though she is making a huge fuss by saying that her son was tormented by her husband behind her back everyone knows that she is just upset that her son left her family without her getting anything in return."

A cold glint flashed in her eyes. "Even though they have been ruined like this, they still don't see where they went wrong." If it was in her hands she would have beaten those two bastards but Song Yixu knew that if she was to make a move on those two bastards then Ying Nan would be the one who be condemned!

Yu Dong curled her lips over the teacup and stated, "All the more reasons for them to suffer more."

"You are right, but why were you sitting quietly like that?" Song Yixu questioned Yu Dong.

"Ah that… I got a gold mine."
