Guide to raise my cutie husbands

Chapter 1366: Trying to take over the village

His sudden exclamation caused the tower of wooden blocks to fall on the floor. Both Sun Jie and Yu Mai looked at him with a frown on their faces.

"You scared us!" Yu Mai complained as he looked at Murong Si. "Mai was about to win."

"No… I was the one who was going to win," Sun Jie refused to admit that he was the one who was going to lose. He immediately refuted Yu Mai who pouted and pushed his body forward, "Mai was!"

"Nooo!"

"Yes!"

"Alright, you two," Yu Dong felt her head hurt with their quibbling. "Why don't you try it from the beginning? This time whoever wins will get two ice candies all right? An additional bonus, it's good right?"

Her words were like a pause button. Sun Jie and Yu Mai stopped fighting and then went back to pick up the wooden blocks. Seeing that they were no longer fighting, Yu Dong turned her attention to Murong Si while Chen Mi walked over to where the two were playing and sat down to play with Yu Mai and Sun Jie.

"Forgive me, they are a bit sensitive to loud noises. I will like it if you keep your voice under control, Master Murong," Yu Dong said to the mer standing in front of her.

Murong Si flinched. He knew that Yu Dong was telling him and not reprimanding him, but he couldn't stop his reaction. Usually, his sister scolded him in the same subtle voice. She did not raise her voice but Murong Tai would say things that would make him feel bad and guilty.

Of course, he knew that Yu Dong was not doing the same thing as his sister. She was solemnly telling him the truth as she did not want to scare Sun Jie and Yu Mai.

Yu Dong noticed the small actions of Murong Si, she narrowed her eyes subtly before smiling. It seems that Murong Si was not good with stern voice and expressions. Though she had no idea why he was like this, Yu Dong decided not to use her stern voice in front of him for the time being.

"Anyway, are you sure that you will be fine? Even women and the men of the villagers find it hard to work in the livestock farm," Yu Dong questioned him as a means to change the topic.

Murong Si thought about the situation at home and nodded. His fingers rubbed against one another as he answered, "I can. I will work hard no matter what." No matter what happened he would rather stay at the livestock farm rather than at home.

Yu Dong caught each of his small actions. She narrowed her eyes before nodding, "If that is the case then you can take this," Yu Dong pushed a paper with a stamp on it. "Take this to the livestock farm and show it to Aunt Wang. She is the manager of that farm, once you show her this paper she will tell you what you need to do."

"Ah.. thank you... thank you so much," Murong Si was worried that Yu Dong would refuse him but fortunately she agreed.

Yu Dong only smiled as she called Mammy Lin and said, "Mammy Lin, please take Master Murong to the Livestock farm. Make sure that he gets there safely."

"Right away, Madam Yu," Mammy Lin nodded as she turned to look at Murong Si. She said to him, "Please follow me, I will be taking you to the farm."

Murong Si nodded. He bowed to Yu Dong before leaving the office, his face filled with just as much smiles as he was worried when he came to the village.

Once he was gone, Yu Dong's smile turned stern. She turned to look at Mammy Chu and ordered, "Bring Lang, there is something that I need to tell her."

Mammy Chu accepted the order before taking her leave. It did not take long for Mammy Chu to bring Lang with her.

"Madam Yu, is there something that you want me to do?" Lang asked with a subtle bow.

Yu Dong tapped her fingers on the surface of the table. She placed her other hand under her chin and remarked casually, "It seems like we have no idea what kind of life my dear brother-in-law is living in the Murong village, right?"

Her sudden remark caused Chen Mi and Lang to look at her with surprise on their faces.

Lang looked at Yu Dong with a sudden look of shock on her face, she blinked her eyes and questioned, "Madam Yu, do you… want me to bring information on Murong Si?"

"I will be grateful if you do," Yu Dong smiled at Lang. Her expression was light but her voice was heavy, "I believe that there is something that we are not aware of," there was something wrong with Murong Si. The way he was desperate to get away from his family as if something was waiting for him.

Yu Dong did not doubt him but she would rather be clear of what was going on. She did not like the thought of leaving Murong Si alone if he was in trouble.

No matter what, he was her brother-in-law and it was her responsibility to take care of him. Since Yu Tong was still too prejudiced over him.

Just the very thought was enough to make Yu Dong's head throb. Why was it that she had to take care of her cousin's married life as well as her own? Was she a saint? Taking care of the entire world.

"I understand," Lang nodded as she took the order from Yu Dong. However before she could leave, a guard from the entrance of the village came running. She had a panicked look on her face.

"Whats the matter?" Lang asked as she looked at the guard.

"There are refugees," the guard told them while wiping the sweat off her face. "I told them that there was no longer any space in our village and we cannot give them a place to stay but they are not listening. Now they are going on about taking our village over!"
