Chapter 13: Wasn't Expected
"Wasn't Expected"
I'm angry at you,
and you know it's true.
Why did you leave?
Why break us in two?
Why choose her—
what does she have that I don't?
I gave you my all,
but being enough? I won't.
I thought our friendship
was out of this world.
But you leaving my world—
that wasn't unfurled.
We were childhood friends,
from scraped knees to games.
But now we're just strangers
who don't say each other's names.
You can walk away,
I won't pull you back.
I've got friends who stay,
not ones who crack.
I trusted you more
than I ever should—
But you broke it like glass,
I thought you never would.
They joke about me,
laugh at my face—
But at least they're honest,
don't vanish without trace.
I thought we were solid,
something time couldn't bend—
But now I see clearly:
nothing's permanent, not even friends.
Maybe it's not your fault,
maybe it's mine—
But blaming me fully?
Now that crossed the line.
Sure, we barely talked,
but silence is pain—
And becoming a stranger—
I still can't explain.
I hid your secrets,
stood by your side.
Was your partner in crime,
never let that slide.
But now those moments
fade, unexpected and slow—
Becoming memories
I never wanted to know.
