Harem Streamer System: Every Crime I Broadcast Wins Me a Superheroine

Chapter 186: ~Intermission~ Discussing Feelings

A sudden poof of pink dust swallowed the air, and in the blink of an eye, three figures materialized inside what could only be described as a hyper-luxurious suite—like something out of a five-star hotel's presidential floor.

Just moments ago, everything was normal.

Judy was in the middle of interviewing a B-list actor about his latest romcom.

Pulsar had been flying over the city, trying to clear her head while keeping an eye on everything below.

As for Nadia, she was taking a much-needed break from being around Scott—things were already getting complicated, and she didn't want to make them worse. Instead, she buried herself in work, relying on Jenna to fill her in on whatever was going on between Scott and Emma.

But the second Luminyss snapped her fingers, none of that mattered anymore. In an instant, they were all ripped from their lives and thrown into a massive arena, surrounded by billions of aliens.

Now, this luxurious room—

The place smelled faintly of something floral, but with an otherworldly touch, and the furniture was a bizarre yet elegant blend of futuristic and alien designs.

The grandness of the room alone should have been enough to shock them into silence.

But the first to react—no surprise there—was Judy Cho.

The ever-enthusiastic journalist barely had a second to process her sudden teleportation before she sprang into action. Her heels barely touched the ground as she went on her toes, twisting her head in every direction like an owl on caffeine. Her eyes, wide as headlights, flew across the room and sucked in every bizarre detail.

Panic? Maybe for a second.

But curiosity? That hit her like a freight train.

"Okay, what the hell just—?!"

Her words tumbled out in half-panicked, half-excited breaths before she gasped, then snatched her phone from her pocket in record time.

"Oh my God. Oh my God. This is it! This is REALLY it, people of Earth—"

She nearly squealed as she turned her camera to face herself as her expression bounced between shock and absolute giddiness.

"We've been abducted by aliens!"

With a quick spin, she captured the entire room as her words tumbled out a mile a minute.

"Look at this! This has to be a holding room! But why's it so luxurious? Does this mean some aliens actually want to make contact and not just—oh, I don't know—conquer us, harvest our organs, and sell us on the cosmic black market? Maybe, just maybe, the universe isn't as doom-and-gloom as the media likes to portray—"

Her rant was cut short as she sprinted to an alien-looking table statue made of what looked like translucent, jelly-like glass. Her fingers hovered over it for a second before she poked it—and the damn thing morphed.

It twisted and reshaped itself instantly, shifting colors from deep blue to a molten gold.

『A non-living object that can react to stimulus…?』

Judy shrieked.

"Did you guys see that?! Did you see that?!"

She turned the camera toward Pulsar and Nadia as her grin stretched ear to ear.

"This is next level! Imagine—imagine—what happens when Earth finally builds connections with aliens! This kind of tech? This could be in everyone's homes one day! I mean, sure, only the Hero Agency and the UN have any real pull with intergalactic relations, but still! This—"

She jabbed at the table again, watching it morph into yet another shape.

"This could be our future!"

Meanwhile, on the other side of the room, two people were watching her like she was a hyperactive golden retriever that had just been set loose in a sci-fi convention.

Nadia stood with her arms crossed under her breasts and her face bland, while Pulsar… well, Pulsar just looked tired.

Not just physically exhausted, but the kind of weary that settled deep in the bones. The black marks under her eyes made it clear that sleep had been a stranger to her lately. She stood with her arms loosely at her sides, taking in the scene without much reaction—other than the occasional slow blink that screamed, I don't know what the hell I'm doing here.

After a long pause, Nadia glanced at Pulsar from the side, then raised an eyebrow.

"Oh. You're Pulsar."

Pulsar blinked and turned to her, clearly thrown off.

"Oh. Uh—You know me?"

Nadia gave a small, casual shrug.

"Uhm, well… yeah, of course."

Pulsar tilted her head slightly, her lips parting like she wanted to say something but wasn't sure what. Yeah, she knew she was getting more recognizable lately, but she still wasn't used to people saying it to her face. It felt… weird. Vincent had always told her to act oblivious when people recognized her—it helped maintain her humility or something like that.

Personally, she thought it was just ingenuity.

But then Nadia gave a small smile.

"Miss Mercury talks about you a lot. Also, I'm one of her guarantors so don't worry…"

And just like that, something clicked in Pulsar's mind.

"Ohhh…"

She nodded in understanding, her posture relaxing a bit.

"That makes sense."

In the hero world, Guarantors were a thing—a very serious thing. They were people superheroes could personally trust with their real identities, usually close friends or allies. Signing up as a guarantor came with some insane conditions, including an ironclad NDA. If a guarantor ever broke that secrecy, the Hero Agency wouldn't just slap them with a lawsuit—they'd erase them. Instantly.

Even Scott was a guarantor for her.

Nadia's gaze lingered on Pulsar for a moment, noticing the heavy shadows under her eyes, the way her shoulders sagged slightly, the exhaustion that clung to her like a second skin.

"You good?"

She asked, her voice softer now.

"Mercury mentioned you haven't been picking up her calls lately."

Her gaze sharpened slightly.

"And no offense, but you look like you just crawled out of a dehydration coma."

Pulsar hesitated.

For a second, it looked like she wanted to say something. Like words were bubbling at the edge of her throat, but at the last second, she swallowed them back.

Nadia sighed.

『She must feel uncomfortable…』

Then, without hesitation, she reached out and placed a firm but gentle hand on Pulsar's shoulder.

"Hey…"

She said, offering a small, reassuring smile.

"You can talk to me, you know? I'm a love doctor."

Pulsar blinked.

Then, for the first time since arriving, she actually laughed — a quiet chuckle, but a real one.

"Oh, God…"

She shook her head, then rubbed her temple.

"Miss Mercury definitely told you about that whole 'Dr. Goode' thing, didn't she?"

Nadia smirked as her eyes glinted with amusement.

"Hmm. Maybe."

Pulsar sighed, but there was the smallest hint of a smile at the corner of her lips.

"Hrmm…okay, okay, okay…"

Pulsar exhaled softly, pressing a hand against her chest as if bracing herself.

Some things required more heart than might.

"Well… I don't know if Emma's told you or not, but—"

She hesitated as her eyes flickered with anxiety.

"—you see, there uh… was this thing between us. We both… dated the same guy. Different times, of course. Scott's not that type of guy."

She looked away for a moment, almost lost in another memory — one of the countless reasons why Scott was a good guy.

Nadia, who had initially been all ears—purely for Emma's sake—felt a wave of discomfort settle in. It wasn't just about Scott. Ever since Emma let Gwen into Scott's harem, it had been a brutal reminder of a truth she tried desperately to ignore.

If she ever crossed that line with Scott, the friendship triangle she had with Emma and Jenna—the one they'd built since middle school—would shatter.

And more than anything, Nadia couldn't lose that.

It would be the height of selfishness to sacrifice that for a relationship that she couldn't guarantee.

And even if it was guaranteed—

『Is that really what I want…』

She grabbed her own arm, rubbing it absentmindedly as her thoughts spiraled.

She didn't want to live this traditional life her family had planned for her. It was 2045, and the Al-Rashid family still clung to outdated beliefs—that wealth and power could only be preserved by keeping the bloodline "clean." People admired the Al-Rashid family, called them one of the most powerful dynasties in the world, but to her?

They were just racists, classists, and tribalists.

She hated them.

But she was a master at hiding things.

Pain. Regret. Struggles.

All tucked away behind a calm expression or an innocent smile.

The only person who ever saw through it? Scott.

She wanted him to save her. God, how much she wanted it.

But she couldn't be selfish.

Not even a little.

It gave her sleepless nights, how she found herself more and more drawn to Scott, how she tried to pull away—only to be pulled back even harder.

And now… she was here.

By the time Nadia snapped out of it, Pulsar had already finished explaining everything.

Emma's promise.

The so-called "spot" in the harem.

The phone call that made Pulsar feel truly hated.

And now she was looking at Nadia, waiting for her thoughts.

Nadia blinked.

『Oh. Crap.』

She hadn't heard any of it.

But she wasn't about to ask Pulsar to repeat it—not when it was so hard for her to open up in the first place.

So, with a forced, crooked smile, she nodded.

"Yeah… I get it."

Pulsar's expression dulled immediately.

She knew Nadia hadn't been listening.

Pulsar looked away, sighing.

"I guess it's probably hard for you to relate. I mean… you're gorgeous. Any guy would want you."

Her voice dropped, filled with quiet bitterness.

"You don't know what it's like to love someone who doesn't love you back."

Nadia stilled.

Her grip on her arm tightened.

Then, in the softest, most pained voice, she mumbled—

"… Trust me. I know."

Pulsar's head snapped up, eyes wide.

"Wait… really? You?"

Somehow, that surprised her.

And if she was being honest with herself, it was kind of a much needed relief.

As selfish as it was, she needed to know she wasn't alone in this pain.

Nadia's lips curled into a faint, distant smile.

"Yeah…"

She admitted.

"There's this guy… really brave, really handsome. And he's also a great guy… hmm, I guess that's too much praise for one person. I like him. A lot. But it's complicated. So complicated that if I ever dared to say something… it would destroy something I really cherish."

For a fleeting moment, the pain in her eyes was clear.

"… So I just watch the man I love… love other women. Women who've earned his love way more than I ever could."

She forced another smile.

"It hurts, but… you get over it eventually."

She nodded.

Pulsar blinked at her. "Have you?"

Nadia's smile didn't falter.

But her voice softened.

"… No. And I don't think I ever will."

She closed her eyes and exhaled.

Pulsar let out an exhausted sigh, then folded her arms.

"Yeah, I figured."

Her voice wavered.

"And the worst part is… I let this whole thing ruin my relationship with Emma."

She looked down, her fingers pressing against her temples.

"I love Scott, yeah, but that doesn't mean I had to shut Emma out. Right?"

Her voice cracked slightly.

"They're not bad people. Scott isn't… Emma isn't."

Shame curled in her chest, hot and suffocating.

She covered her face with her hands, groaning.

"I should've just asked for an explanation. But nooo, I had to go full drama mode. Like… why? Communication is the simplest solution, and I just ignored it."

Nadia reached out, placing a hand on Pulsar's back.

She gave her a reassuring pat, smiling softly.

"Oh, come on. This isn't all on you. I won't say Emma would've done the same, she's a lot more outspoken than you, but… you're still young."

Pulsar peeked at her, smiling a little.

That was it.

That was the moment.

The moment she realized that if Emma—someone who had a friend like this—had really done something so horrible…

Then maybe… maybe she wasn't seeing the whole picture.

Maybe she had been wrong.

And maybe it wasn't too late to fix it.

Judy, who had been rambling to her phone the entire time, suddenly turned to face them as her pretty face glowed with excitement.

"Okay, okay, hold up! Before we get too deep into hero therapy—"

She hurriedly gestured at the massive room, then at the air around them.

"Can we just acknowledge that we're in some kind of alien holding suite?! Like, how did we even get here? And who brought us?!"

A sexy chuckle suddenly sounded in the room.

"Finally~ I was wondering when you'd start asking the important questions."

The three of them stiffened as a figure shimmered into view, lounging lazily on an extravagant, floating divan. Draped in a sleek, celestial gown as her luminous golden eyes glowed with amusement, and a faint smirk curled on her lips.

Luminyss.

And from the way she was looking at them, they were in for one hell of a ride.
