Chapter 180: What A Bitch.
The rest of the night didn't go as planned because Kyle made fewer connections than he would have liked. If anything, he felt alienated when the girl with the mask came into the equation.
She took him out of that section and returned to where Nakamura was, Kyle noticed the reception she got here was a lot more positive.
These people didn't know who she was in the real world, that was the irony.
They only knew her by her mask because she never introduced herself but had the invitation.
There was no way that the invitation couldn't be gotten by accident as only top officials had it.
Not everyone's identity was known but that was fine, this party was where business could be concluded.
The people that were in it for the business aspect couldn't keep their identity hidden for they needed to dox themselves to whoever they were doing business with.
Kyle looked at Nakamura with a sense of disgust, he was introduced as some sort of entertainment.
This shaped the perspective of those in that room, Kyle couldn't blame them for their preconceived notion of him.
This limited what he could do in terms of business as they wouldn't take him seriously but Kyle was glad he was able to get Eleanor's number.
He knew that she would be useful in his endeavor but who was this woman across the table from him?
She hadn't said a word to him and simply focused on the drink in front of her but there was an air of elegance around her.
"Thanks for saving me," Kyle finally said but his tone was somewhat playful.
"Save you? Oh honey, I don't care about you. I just hate those old bags," The lady was quick to shoot down Kyle.
She didn't say another word after that but neither did Kyle, he just wanted to go home at this point. Five minutes went by and the lady finally broke the silence.
"You know, it is rare for someone to get in at this time of the year," The lady pointed out.
"Get in? You make it sound like this is some occultic organization," Kyle responded.
"Occultic? That is a stupid thing to say but I'm not surprised that something like that is coming from the mouth of someone associated with that foreigner over there," The lady sounded irritated.
"Wow! You're an angry lady, aren't you?" Kyle fired back but even with her foul mouth, she still had this elegance that he couldn't explain.
The lady didn't give Kyle much of a response, the truth was that she never saw how he looked and only assumed he was good-looking because of the whispers of those who did see him.
She had no interest in Kyle, if anything, it would be sex he was looking for because that's what most men think of first when they see her.
No one could blame them, she even made women confused about their sexuality.
"Do you always talk so much?" The lady asked but Kyle was ready to let his act come to an end.
"Are you always such a brat?" Kyle fired at her but the woman only sighed at this response.
"A man with no class… What did I expect?" She looked down on Kyle and she wasn't hiding it.
Kyle wondered why he was sitting at the same table as her to begin with when he could easily leave this party and call it a night.
However, someone approached her and whispered something into her ear and this changed her mood completely.
"It is about time," She said before springing to her feet and walking away, leaving Kyle at the table.
She stopped in her tracks before looking back at Kyle like she expected him to follow her but that was exactly what she expected.
"Are you going to sit there or escort me?" The lady questioned but Kyle was over it at this point.
He wanted to tell her to fuck off but remembered that she belonged to the higher class.
If anything, she could be his gateway to that world because he was here for connection.
If she was this stuck up then there was no doubt that she got whatever she wanted in life.
Kyle got up and followed her with an irritated look on his face but it was hidden by the mask he had on.
"What the fuck is her problem?" Kyle wondered but he noticed that the man who informed her about whatever it was that caused her mood to shift had a blank face.
Come to think of it, there were multiple people with this type of mask but no one else had the same type of mask.
Kyle noticed the way he walked, it was like he was protecting her from something and Kyle made an educated guess that this man must be her security.
This would explain the similar mask, it made it easier for them to be identified in the case of an emergency which made sense.
"Where are you taking me?" Kyle questioned but she didn't respond to him.
However, he found himself right in front of a car, Kyle couldn't make out the model but was certain of one thing.
It was custom made and that took a lot of money. She bent over to take something out of her car and the plump flesh on her buttocks momentarily stretched out her dress.
"Hm…" Kyle thought to himself, he couldn't help but steal a glance or two.
She returned with a briefcase, opening it up to confirm the content within was intact.
Kyle saw stacks of $100 bills, this easily took it into hundreds of millions but why the fuck was she doing this.
"Here, hold this," She handed it to Kyle, confusing him but this was only because she wanted to adjust her mask.
Kyle noticed that she was taking her anonymity seriously but the moment she was done with this, she took it away from him.
"Want me to ask what the money is for?" Kyle questioned as it slowly dawned on him that this was going to be his company for the rest of the night.
"You wish. No need to think about robbing me because my guards will put a bullet through your brain but I need your help," The lady said but Kyle noticed she was heading to a different side of the building.
It wasn't through the entrance but a different compartment of the building however Kyle noticed that there was someone waiting for her there.
They too, had their guards so this was some sort of exchange and Kyle was being strung along.
"What the fuck is happening? Are you a fucking drug dealer?" Kyle had to ask because he was worried about this.
She rolled her eyes in annoyance and just wanted him to keep his mouth shut.
There was something strange, the closer Kyle got the better he could see the people there.
"Isn't that…!" Kyle wondered, he recognized the people standing there and it was both Nakamura and Yuki standing there.
Kyle had no idea what was going on but this showed that Nakamura had dealings with her.
"It went through?" Nakamura asked to which the lady nodded.
"It did and as agreed, here is the sum of $250,000,000 in cash," The lady said, handing him the briefcase.
Kyle felt uneasy because this entire thing felt shady and he wasn't comfortable being a witness to something he had no idea about.
"It was nice doing business with you," Nakamura said. Kyle knew at that moment that Nakamura hadn't come to the party to have fun.
It was all business for him and Kyle knew better but this only made him respect him all the more.
"Well, that concludes our business," Nakamura said, he must have come here because he didn't have any other way to reach her but here.
This also meant that she was careful but Kyle's highlight of the night remained that single older woman who seemed to be from royalty of some sort.
"Can we leave now?" Kyle asked Nakamura, he was done with the party.
"May I have him keep me company for the rest of the night?" The lady asked but Kyle raised his brow.
Why the fuck was she talking like he was Nakamura's employee?
Wait, that was right, the weird man had introduced him as such so he knew where she got this misconception from.
Nakamura had a lot of explaining to do but Kyle wasn't about to question him here because Kyle knew that if Nakamura could get in here.
He could open so many more doors for him and wasn't about to screw up everything over something as small as this.
"Mister Kyle is not an employee of Mr Nakamura but a partner," Yuki stepped in to clarify their relationship without Kyle having to ask.
This maintained a tone of respect between himself and Nakamura.
"I see, so you brought him here as entertainment because you knew that was the only way to skip the vetting process," The lady pointed out.
Nakamura smiled at her, he knew that she was aware of who he was already, this was why he was known on a first-name basis.
Unlike her, who was born from money and didn't need to worry about multiplying it because it did itself. This was why she could keep her identity hidden, she didn't need to seek people out.

"Hey strange man, I will give you $5,000,000 if you come with me," The lady tried to pay for his services.
"Bitch please, let's get out of here, Mr. Nakamura," Kyle said and the lady stood there, humbled that someone was this rude to her.
"I apologize on his behalf," Nakamura said before leaving behind Kyle with Yuki walking behind him.
