At the same time, another magical spectrum analyzer was analyzing Cernunnos's magic.

Both the genetic sequencing probe and the spectrum analyzer were precision magic detection devices. Once Murphy resolved the issue with the magic core chip, he could directly connect to and control these devices as if they were extensions of his own body.
