Harry Potter: Elemental Magic Changes the World

Chapter 22: Chapter 22: The Trio’s Ambush at the Elemental Magic Academy

The small sun disappeared, and with it, the light vanished, leaving them engulfed in endless darkness.

At this moment, the doors of the Elemental Magic Academy opened, and three figures silently walked in.

They were Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley.

Originally eager to stop Professor Quirrell, they were taken aback when they entered and found the place shrouded in pitch-black darkness, which left them frozen for a moment.

"Harry, do you have a flashlight?" Ron whispered.

Hermione immediately shot him down, saying, "Ron, don't you think you just asked a really stupid question? Are you telling me that you think you can use electrical appliances here at Hogwarts?"

Modern devices weren't allowed at Hogwarts, and carrying them was strictly prohibited.

Ron instantly realized how foolish his question was.

But, in the face of the darkness, he couldn't help but feel a sense of dread.

Harry, with his calm and steady gaze hidden behind his glasses, stood still.

Then, a spark of light suddenly appeared in Harry's hand.

The sudden appearance of the light startled Hermione and Ron.

"Hey, Harry, can you freely conjure fire magic now?" Hermione asked, gazing at Harry with a hint of admiration.

Harry smiled slightly, saying, "It's pretty simple."

At this point, Ron, no longer fearful, was filled with excitement as he marveled at the light from Harry's fireball.

"Harry, you're amazing! With that fireball, Professor Quirrell hiding in the darkness won't be able to escape."

"We'll catch him and make him pay."

Ron's words were full of courage, his eyes narrowing as he scanned their surroundings.

Harry nodded and conjured another fireball.

One in each hand, he led the way, scanning for Professor Quirrell who might be hiding in the shadows.

"Wow, so this is the Elemental Magic Academy?"

"It's so cool, it looks just like a Roman coliseum."

Ron followed Harry and continued, his eyes wide as he took in the enormity and height of the academy.

With the light of the fireball, Harry couldn't help but feel a little excited, but he didn't forget the reason they had come.

He felt a sense of tension in his heart and cautiously observed the surroundings.

"Hey, I think I stepped on something."

Ron's voice rang out with a playful tone.

Harry and Hermione instinctively turned to look at Ron.

"Ah!"

Hermione's scream echoed in the air.

Harry's mouth hung open in disbelief.

Ron, meanwhile, was stunned, unsure of what had just happened.

Then Ron felt something wrapping around his foot and looked down instinctively.

"Wow! Wow! Wow! What's going on?"

"Harry, Hermione, help me!"

All Ron could see was something black coiling around his foot, and before he could react, his body was suddenly yanked away and vanished into the darkness.

But Ron's voice still echoed throughout the Elemental Magic Academy.

His cries for help snapped Harry and Hermione out of their shock, and they immediately reacted, running to catch up.

"Ron!"

Harry and Hermione shouted.

"Help me, Harry, Hermione!"

"Ah, it hurts! I feel like my bones are going to break!"

Ron's panicked voice responded, hurried and desperate.

Harry and Hermione had only run a few meters when they lost their bearings. At the same time, more vines emerged from the darkness, rushing toward them.

Harry dodged a vine's attack and saw Hermione about to be ambushed by another one. He quickly grabbed her and threw them both to the side, but in the process, the fireball in Harry's hand disappeared.

The Elemental Magic Academy was plunged back into darkness.

The only sound that remained was the rustling of movement.

"Harry!" Hermione's frightened voice broke the silence.

In the darkness, Harry's breath quickened as he stood up, gripping his wand tightly. He released another fireball, shouting, "Hermione!"

The fireball flew out and stopped two meters above Harry's head, acting as a light source.

It was thanks to the fireball's light that Harry suddenly noticed the thick, arm-like vines surrounding him, coiling like snakes, giving off a dangerous vibe.

"Please... help..." [translator's note: This text is part of an online text; the unusual phrase is part of the context.]

"Harry, Ron!"

Harry anxiously called out. He could conjure fireballs, but he didn't know how to use them for offense.

In fact, the fireballs he created had no real power. They were just enough to illuminate their surroundings.

They had only begun practicing elemental magic the day before, and Callister hadn't yet taught them how to wield their magic effectively.

"Harry, help me! Something's wrapped around my foot."

"Ah, I'm being lifted!"

Hermione's terrified voice came through, as she struggled in response to Harry.

"Flames, burn!"

Hearing Hermione's panicked voice, Ron had stopped responding. Seeing his two friends in danger and the vines rushing toward him, Harry Potter's forehead broke out in sweat, and his breathing became more hurried.

In the end, Harry mustered his courage and decided to take a risk.

Waving his wand, fire-element energy surged, and in an instant, his wand responded.

Boom!

Flames erupted in front of him, blazing like a majestic red lotus, radiating brilliant light.

As the vines met the flames, they rapidly began to wither and recoil.

Harry Potter, now filled with excitement, quickly released more magic in three other directions.

"Flames, burn!"

"Flames, burn!"

"Flames, burn!"

In an instant, the blazing fires surrounded Harry, illuminating the Elemental Magic Academy.

Through the light of the flames, Harry quickly searched for Hermione and Ron.

Soon, he spotted Hermione, who was tangled up in the vines.

Hermione, seeing Harry, struggled desperately, her eyes filled with panic. "Harry, your flames are too big! If you don't come and save me, I'll be burned alive!"

The flames spread quickly, and the vines, having encountered the fire, writhed in fear and pain.

Hermione's head spun, and she felt dizzy, "Harry, not only am I going to faint, but I'll also burn to death!"

Hearing Hermione's words, Harry's heart raced.

He was desperate to save her, but he didn't know how to break through the flames to reach her.

At that moment, Harry felt incredibly foolish, wondering why he had set the entire area on fire with his flames.

"Hermione, hang on! I'll find a way to save you!"

Unable to think of a solution right away, Harry could only anxiously try to comfort Hermione.

At that moment, Harry suddenly noticed a figure in a black robe standing in a corner of the Elemental Magic Academy, staring at him.

Instantly, Harry's hand shot to his forehead. The scar hurt terribly!
