Harry Potter: Journey to Godhood

Chapter 368: Chapter 368: Life Energy

In fact, Voldemort's conjecture was correct.

After learning to use the Patronus Charm, Alaric discovered that there are quite a few similarities between a Patronus and a Stand.

For example, both can possess a physical form and transform between the real and the ethereal.

A Stand itself can become intangible like a phantom, but it can also inflict physical damage, so a Stand does have a physical presence.

The same is true for a Patronus. Just as magic itself is not a physical concept, the Patronus generated by magic does not directly exist in the physical world like most spells.

Yet a Patronus can take on a physical form—once it reaches the stage of a corporeal Patronus, it can be touched and even cause physical damage, making sounds, and so on.

Additionally, both the Patronus and the Stand are based on a person's spirit, filled with another type of energy.

In JoJo the energy of a Stand is identified as life force or life energy, yet the creation of a Stand is based on the spirit.

A person whose spirit does not meet the conditions, no matter how powerful their life energy, cannot possess a Stand; conversely, many people unexpectedly awaken a Stand in life-threatening situations due to a surge of spirit.

In the Harry Potter world, although a Patronus is based on the presence of magic, it is generated from a wizard's positive emotions.

Similarly, dark wizards, despite having powerful magic, cannot cast the Patronus Charm due to their overly dark inner feelings and lack of positive emotions.

If this were in the previous world with zero mystery, the similarities might just be due to overlapping ideas of the author.

However, when Alaric arrived in this real Harry Potter world, he understood that all of this truly exists.

This means that the similarities between a Stand and a Patronus are not coincidental.

Moreover, Alaric thought of another concept similar to both: the Black Ghost, also known as Invisible Black Matter (IBM).

This is a concept found within the world of "Ajin."

Ajin are a special kind of human with an almost magical ability to ignore the laws of physics and resurrect themselves.

After dying, Ajin undergo a bodily reconstruction; upon revival, no matter how broken their body is, even if it turns to ashes or another substance, their body will return to its original state. Anything that hinders the reconstruction of the body will disappear.

In addition to possessing this absolute immortality, Ajin can also generate a black humanoid entity known as a Black Ghost.

This entity is similar to a Stand, based on the Ajin's spirit and composed of IBM particles, and is usually invisible to humans, among other things.

All of this indicates that based on spirit and energy, it is indeed possible to create puppets or even creations with a certain level of intelligence that have physical forms.

After researching ghosts and Dementors, Alaric even discovered that these two beings also exist based on this principle, except that their foundational spirit comes from the souls of the deceased and the intelligence of the Dementors themselves.

Alaric could even boldly speculate that many elemental creatures in magical worlds may also share a similar structural principle.

In some magical worlds, this conclusion might not be useful because, even if one understands the principle, creating an elemental puppet or something similar remains extremely difficult.

After all, whether it's a Dementor, a ghost, or an elemental creature, they are all inherently existing beings, and the reasons for the creation of Stands and Black Ghosts have never been specifically explained.

It's like how human scientists understand the composition of cells and organisms but cannot create life themselves.

However, Alaric felt fortunate that he was now in the Harry Potter world.

Though the magic in this world is not very powerful, it possesses spells that, in some aspects, have effects that appear quite exaggerated even compared to many magical worlds.

The Patronus Charm is one such spell.

Unlike other "energy life" or "energy-based life forms," the Patronus Charm is neither innate nor is its method of generation unknown.

It is purely an "energy life form" generated through a spell.

With this spell, it is as if a biologist has been presented with a machine that can synthesize ordinary matter into life.

Through the Patronus Charm, Alaric could completely solve the problem of creating life through magic, which basically amounts to stepping into a taboo area of magic.

Because creating life, whether in science or magic, is generally considered the domain of the divine.

Of course, Alaric has not yet reached such a high realm in his studies.

However, he has now mastered a method to modify a Patronus.

By using the new Patronus Charm, the Patronus he summons not only possesses magic but also infuses his own life force.

This allows the Patronus to simultaneously exhibit the effects of a Stand.

Alaric can even feel that there is a powerful ability hidden within the Stand, but due to the incompleteness of the modification, it has not yet awakened.

Even so, the infusion of life energy has still caused certain "chemical reactions," significantly increasing its physical strength, sufficient to cope with battles against Voldemort.

Unfortunately, although Voldemort had deduced the principle of Alaric's Stand, he still did not truly understand everything about it. He underestimated the combat power of the Stand.

After concluding that a Stand equals to a Patronus, Voldemort no longer took it seriously.

In his view, the reason a Stand could single-handedly defeat and destroy nearly half of the Dementors was simply due to its natural restraint over them, all he needed to do was avoid direct confrontation.

"So, your so-called Stand is merely a clever trick," Voldemort finally made his final judgment, boosting the morale of the Death Eaters.

Seeing Voldemort's self-righteous explanation, Alaric shook his head dismissively.

In due time, he would pay the price for his arrogance.

"Now, let me ask one last time, does anyone wish to accept the Dark Lord's final mercy?" he said in a soft, hissing voice like a serpent.

It was clear that his patience was wearing thin; this was his final ultimatum.

However, on the Ministry of Magic's side, no one wavered.

"A mere defeated opponent thinks he can sway me?" Alaric rolled his eyes.

"Who do you think you're talking to?" Hermione and several girls scoffed.

And Bones firmly rejected him.

"I'll only surrender when hell freezes over," Bones shouted, "Aurors, let's go!"

With her shout, an impassioned response erupted from the crowd.

"So, the negotiations have broken down," Voldemort hissed, "Kill them!"

With his command, the Death Eaters eagerly raised their wands.

Fenrir led the werewolves into their transformations and charged forward.

The giants raised their clubs, moving their massive legs.

The Dementors bypassed Alaric and charged toward the Ministry of Magic.

The battle began once again.

And this time, unless one side fell completely, the war would not truly end.
