As if switching out characters, SomSatangYeou appeared right where Yuchae had vanished. The moment she spawned and ran straight toward me, the guild chat exploded.

I let out a dry laugh and hung my head. I swear, I’m gonna lose it.

I pulled up the schedule image posted in the group chat. Each day had a different guild name listed, and a few of them looked familiar.

‘Huh. Even HanmaumHantteut signed up.’
That was the guild Kim Daeseok was in—the one I briefly joined too. Their attack day was Monday. The second-ranked guild, Gusuok, had Sunday.
Most importantly, Feber was on Wednesday. So Yuchae was telling the truth—Feber really was going to attack two or three days after the selection match began.

The selection match matches guilds of similar experience level. Just applying for a raid doesn’t mean you can attack whoever you want.
Chojeonyeok was the undisputed top guild, so naturally we’d be facing other high-level players.
‘This is gonna be fun.’

A chaotic free-for-all with strong players from every corner? Just imagining it made my blood pump. Especially since Gusuok was a guild even Yuchae respected.

We’d been grinding together in the arena all week, and I’d gotten pretty used to my skill combos.
And thanks to Yuchae’s help with gear, I was more or less set for the selection match starting tomorrow.

What am I doing? Huh. Not much, honestly. The guild's kinda empty today too. As I fiddled with my piercing and thought it over, I gave a half-assed answer.

Personal farm quests weren’t really about combat or leveling—they were more like healing, slice-of-life content. The “flower of RPGs,” they called it. No way I was skipping that.
In Xenoris, you get a quest to build a personal farm once you hit max level. I had the thing built but abandoned, so right now it was basically a rocky wasteland.

May as well fix it up. And if you level your farm to 20, you even get a passive buff—so not a bad move, honestly.
‘Might actually be worth it.’
Just saying it out loud got me unexpectedly motivated. I warped straight to the farm and was greeted by a field overrun with weeds.

What a barren dump. Then again, it was level 1. I opened the quest tab and dug up the old farm quests I’d buried. What was first again? Plowing?
I pulled out the hoe I’d gotten when I first built the farm, and before I could even start, Yuchae pinged me again.

Not ten seconds after my reply, Yuchae popped into my field. He looked around at the empty wasteland that was my farm and was instantly shook.

[All] Yu Chae: You don’t even have a house..
[All] Yu Chae: Do you sleep on the ground at night? ㅠ

I ignored his nonsense and started hoeing the field. Each time my character swung his arm, the dry, rocky ground started to turn a rich, dark brown.

While watching me plow the field, Yuchae suddenly sent a trade request. I accepted, curious.
It was a straw hat.
‘This little shit…’

I’m out here doing hard labor and this «N.o.v.e.l.i.g.h.t» is what he gives me? I was about to reject it in disbelief, but then I spotted the buff on the item: <+2 Farm Activity Speed>.

As I took it without complaining, Yuchae lit up. Looks like he’s finally figured out what kind of items I’ll accept. Should I be praising him for that?

As soon as I put on the straw hat, Yuchae started bouncing up and down. Huh. I turned my character around—he did kinda look good in it.

With the buffed speed, I finished hoeing the rest of the land in no time. A cheerful ding rang out as the farm hit level 2 and unlocked a new quest: planting tomatoes.

Without another word, Yuchae sent another trade. Another buff item? I accepted with a flicker of anticipation—only for the trade window to be bombarded.
A Beautiful Romantic House, a Swing for Two, a Fragrant Tea Set, a Flowering Spring Fountain, 100 Blooming Sunflower Seeds…

Not a single buff. Just decorative farm furniture. So much crap the trade window could barely contain it. My head throbbed just looking at it.
I thought he’d figured out what I liked… maybe not. And wait—some of these were cash shop items. Why the hell is he spending real money on this?

[All] Yu Chae: Decorate your farm with this!! ㅎㅡㅎ

I hovered over the reject button with a sigh—then paused. Watching him get all excited like it was his farm made it hard to say no.

[All] Yu Chae: Then use the rest for decorations!

Sensing my hesitation, Yuchae hurried to explain.

[All] Yu Chae: You’re level 2 now, right?
[All] Yu Chae: Once you harvest tomatoes, you’ll hit level 3, and that gives a free expansion ticket
[All] Yu Chae: Use that and you can place everything

Oh. That’s actually not a bad deal.
Still, I didn’t want to give in too easily, so I messed with him a bit.

In the end, I accepted all the items and changed most of the field to normal land, leaving just two plots for farming XP like Yuchae suggested.

Yuchae ran around my farm barking directions. Fine, fine. I went along with it and placed everything where he told me.
Once I harvested the tomatoes and got the expansion ticket, I upgraded the land and placed all the decorations.
My farm looked nothing like it did before.

A two-story white cottage with blooming roses, a tea table with chairs, golden sunflowers, and a swing nestled between them. It looked like something out of a fairytale.
[All] Yu Chae: Pretty, right???
[All] Jeo Jolryeoyo: Yeah

Just like he said, it really was nice to look at. Made me feel kinda good, too.
I suddenly remembered what Yuchae’s farm looked like. It was way bigger than mine, bursting with flowers and trees—absolutely gorgeous. Seeing him today, yeah… he definitely has a knack for decorating.
As he walked around checking everything out, Yuchae suddenly ran up to me and triggered a shy emote.

[All] Yu Chae: I’m so happy
[All] Yu Chae: It’s our newlywed house♥
[All] Jeo Jolryeoyo: Shut the fuck up

After a pause, I added:

The moment I thanked him—sincerely, for once—Yuchae’s character, who’d been bouncing around me like usual, froze in place like he’d short-circuited. His reply came a long moment later.
