Heavenly Asura Path(Percy Jackson)

Chapter 8: Heavenly Asura Path 8

Chapter 8: Liu Erlong

Liu Erlong was singing a tune as she watered the plants in her garden. This place was a little far away from her Blue Tyrant Academy, but still within the huge plot of land that belonged to her.

This place had been a relief in the past few years. In her life filled with troubles, this place felt so pure and peaceful that it helped her maintain some of her desires.

Liu Erlong was actually not the typical member of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. In fact, she barely considered herself a member of such a clan. She was born to a prostitute and Yu Luomian, the second head of said clan. She never had a true childhood, working hard to become strong enough to do justice to her mother, to the point of barely resting. But before she could gain strength and recognition, her mother died young from illness. The trauma caused something to snap in Liu Erlong, and from that day onwards, killing was her greatest pleasure, and she was never truly relaxed unless she killed.

She was a short-tempered person, leading to extremely violent tendencies that lack compassion. She struggles to control her impulses to kill, especially when emotionally distressed, and frequently displays violence, causing horrific witnesses to vomit at the sight. After her mother's death, killing has been her greatest pleasure. Just seeing the blood of her enemies bloom on her hands, and seeing the life of her enemies drip through her fingers, makes her feel relaxed and delighted.

But at the same time, she is very faithful and loyal, and shows true gentleness to her loved ones. As a child, she was hardworking and diligent, while taking care of her beloved mother. She does not care about nobility, considering them generally weak and spoiled.

Such was Liu Erlong, a twisted but good person; someone brutal but gentle. Her personality was a total contradiction, but it is what she was, she could not change it.

After a few years, she met two special people: Yu Xiaogang and Flender. The three people formed the golden iron triangle and traveled across the continent. For the first time, Liu Erlong felt relaxed once again and could feel the happiness of life.

Sadly, the future was not what she expected.

After a while, Flender confessed his love to her, but she rejected him, saying that she loved Yu Xiaogang. Flender eventually put his feelings aside and wholeheartedly supported his two friends' relationship, giving them the blessing to be together. Erlong and Xiaogang were married by Flender in a small ceremony.

On the day of their marriage, her father arrived and revealed that he was Xiaogang's biological uncle, making them first cousins. Yu Xiaogang ran away in grief, with Liu Erlong searching for his whereabouts. Their marriage was never consummated initially, and Liu Erlong remained a virgin for the next full years of their separation.

After being abandoned by her new husband, Liu Erlong's original killing intent surged once again, and she wiped out an entire forest of Spirit Beasts. The massacred place has been irredeemable ever since. She also went on a violent rampage, slaughtering all the criminals without a chance of survival, even if their crime was only minor.

She continued on her path of slaughter until she met Flender again, who stayed by her side and continuously worked to straighten her out. Finally, her rage calmed down and she left Flender again and established the Blue Tyrant Academy, cultivating her character by herself in the forest to restrain her killing instincts.

Now, she meets someone else. The first time she saw him, she couldn't look away from his eyes. She could see his eyes devoid of emotions and any sparkle, they only seemed empty, similar to hers. But, for a moment, just for a second, she could notice a green glow. It was faint, like the life of a firefly after it glows, but it was there.

She discovered his name: Percy.

Well, she later discovered that he was actually Perseus.

Liu Erlong was curious about the young man who had eyes similar to hers. She was curious about spiritual tools, and especially alchemy, which she still didn't know what it was, but she was hoping for something great. However, what she wanted the most, was to know about Perseus himself.

Those eyes, after all, only belong to a tragic person.

Today, after three full months of knowing him, she once again left her garden in the forest near her house and headed out to the city to visit his shop. Who knows, maybe he has new spiritual tools.

But when she arrived...

"Eh? Will you close early?" she asked and looked straight into Percy's empty eyes.

"Yes... I have something important to do."

"Oh..."

"May I know?" she asked, receiving an emotionless look. The two pairs of eyes stared at each other for a long moment. At that moment, they both stared into each other's eyes as if the rest of the world didn't exist.

Unbeknownst to her, the other party more or less knew about her past. Part of it was the reason why he didn't push her away.

"I have to look for my next spirit ring," he replied.

"You're already level 40?! But it's only been three months since you were level 31!" Liu Erlong exclaimed in surprise, but also excited.

"Let me accompany you! I'm level 70, I can help you and make the process faster and easier. Also, you don't know if you can meet a powerful spirit beast," she smiled confidently. She didn't actually say the second reason for offering her help. She was curious about Percy's martial spirit. In fact, she didn't even know the ages of his three spirit rings.

"Do as you wish..." Percy muttered before unfolding a pair of blood-red wings from his back. Liu Erlong realized that it was a spirit tool. She simply smiled and took out her wings that she bought a few months ago and followed him immediately.

As they flew, they could both see how they were moving away from the city. Seeing the direction, Liu Erlong knew that Percy wanted to go to the Star Dou Forest, the largest and most dangerous spirit beast forest on the continent. But also, this was the place where there was the most variety.

She was now curious if he was looking for a specific spirit beast.

Her question was answered about twenty minutes later. After searching for a while as they flew, she saw a cold smile appear on Percy's face as he descended and stuffed what looked like a pellet into his mouth.

Liu Erlong took a breath of cold air as he saw a huge bear that stood on its hind legs and had claws that were lengthening to over fifty centimeters as it felt and looked in their direction.

"GRRROOOOOAAAHHHH!!" the Twilight Terror Claw Bear roared angrily, causing the trees near it to tremble. The ground had broken due to its enormous weight and power as it rushed towards Percy, who had descended.

"Twilight Terrorclaw Bear… And it's older than fifty thousand years," a dark look was seen on Liu Erlong's face as she looked on. She was about to release her martial spirit, but she felt a cold wind coming from Percy.

She saw a blood-red aura appear surrounding Percy like a coat and a saber appeared in his right hand. This saber wasn't too long, but it was wider than usual. Its blade was scarlet in color and had a golden sleeve with a dragon's paw at the end. And from the guard, what looked like a golden dragon's jaw extended down the middle of the blade all the way to the tip of the saber. The tool-type martial spirit released a bloodthirsty and deathly aura, but accompanied by a feeling of absolute power and sovereignty.

At the same time, three spirit rings appeared from Percy's feet.

Yellow, purple, and black. The three rings rose upwards and slowly rotated, surprising Liu Erlong with the age configuration never seen before, at least for her.

"Don't meddle unless it's really necessary," Percy's voice caught her attention and Liu Erlong could only nod.
