Heavens' Laughter

Chapter 81: Teeth

Tian Hao stared in disbelief, his heart pounding as the young man strode forward, wreathed in flames that clung to his body like a second skin.

"What… The… Fuck…" He muttered to himself.

The fire crackled and roared, yet Feng Shen showed no sign of pain—no flinch, no hesitation, just a relentless march that defied all reason:

"I told you… I'll kill you."

Tian Hao stumbled back, his breaths quick and shallow: Your journey continues at My Virtual Library Empire

"Screw you, you lowly dog!"

Tian Hao began snapping his fingers in a frantic rhythm, urging the flames to grow hotter, fiercer, more violent.

However, this did nothing to deter Feng Shen. He kept moving forward, his steps steady.

To Tian Hao's growing horror, a chilling sound reached his ears—a low, haunting whistle.

The melody was slow and deliberate, a deathly tune that seemed to echo through the blazing air, sending shivers down his spine.

"This fucker is completely insane…" Tian Hao whispered under his breath, as he continued to back away.

Desperation clawed at him now, overpowering any sense of pride or restraint.

Tian Hao's mind raced, fully set on using every trick, every dirty tactic, every ounce of power at his disposal to eliminate this young man.

He didn't care about playing fair, nor about losing face.

With a series of swift hand motions, Tian Hao summoned a towering Spiritual Fire Rhino, its massive form crackling with flames.

The beast materialized in an explosion of heat and light, its fiery eyes gleaming with primal fury.

Letting out a deafening roar that shook the ground, the Spiritual Fire Rhino lowered its blazing horn and charged forward, its movements wild and rampaging, leaving a trail.

Seeing this, Feng Shen came to an abrupt halt. Without a hint of fear, he spread his arms wide and allowed the flaming horn to pierce straight through his stomach.

A twisted smile spread across his face, even as blood gushed from the wound.

The Spiritual Fire Rhino roared and lifted Feng Shen high into the air before slamming him down with earth-shaking force.

The pond cracked beneath his broken body as the spiritual beast stomped on him repeatedly, the sound of bones shattering echoing like brittle twigs snapping underfoot.

All the while, Feng Shen continued to blister and burn, dripping with searing heat.

Seconds later…

Feng Shen's body lay motionless, sprawled.

There was no sign of life—no twitch, no breath.

Tian Hao exhaled deeply, a long, weary sigh escaping his lips.

"About time…" he muttered, his voice laced with irritation. "That took longer than I expected."

With a flick of his fingers, the Spiritual Fire Rhino dissolved into embers, its fiery form vanishing into the ether.

Tian Hao snapped the fingers on his other hand, and the remaining flames around them extinguished instantly, leaving only smoke and the acrid scent.

"Thank the heavens no one was here to witness this," he spoke to himself, his voice tinged with relief:

"It would have been such a hassle to recover my reputation after using a fire technique of this level."

Tian Hao's eyes narrowed as he walked over to the motionless form, stepping carefully as if the water itself had become tainted.

He stopped just a foot away, his gaze lingering on the broken, charred body before him.

"Such a waste," Tian Hao said, his tone flat and indifferent:

"He had every chance to back down, to avoid this foolishness... but I suppose some are destined to make such mistakes… Even if those mistakes cost them their life."

Right as Tian Hao turned around…

Feng Shen's eyes snapped open.

Without a moment's hesitation, his arm shot out like a strike of lightning, locking onto the instructor's leg with a grip that was as unyielding as steel.

With a ferocious heave, Feng Shen pulled himself upward.

In an instant, he closed the distance and sank his teeth into the instructor's leg with a bone-crushing bite, tearing into the flesh with every ounce of strength he could muster.

The sharp taste of blood filled Feng Shen's mouth as he bit down harder, his teeth slicing through skin and muscle, refusing to let go.

"What the fuck!?" Tian Hao shouted in shock, his face contorting with pain as he felt the sudden, searing bite tear into his leg.

The unexpected assault threw him off balance, and for a brief moment, he stood frozen, unable to comprehend how this young man was still alive—or how he had broken through his Spiritual Physique so effortlessly.

Tian Hao grounded his teeth together in frustration. With a growl, he began violently shaking his leg, trying to dislodge the unrelenting figure clinging to him:

"Let go of me, you insane bastard!"

However, Feng Shen didn't respond or falter in the slightest.

His grip remained ironclad, and with a maddened intensity, he began shaking his head, using every ounce of his strength to tear deeper into the flesh.

Feng Shen's teeth ground against bone as he viciously ripped and tore, determined to cause as much damage as possible.

He wasn't about to let go—not now, not ever.

Feeling his bones on the verge of shattering, Tian Hao's face twisted in agony.

Desperation overtook him as he gritted his teeth, summoning another Spiritual Fire Spirit.

This time, it was a swarm—a dozen Spiritual Fire Piranhas, their scales shimmering with an infernal glow.

They materialized mid-air in an instant, their eyes burning with hunger.

With savage precision, they darted forward, latching onto Feng Shen's body, their sharp teeth sinking into flesh and bone.

The creatures bit and tore with relentless ferocity, their fiery jaws glowing as they chewed and gnawed with blistering speed, determined to rip apart anything in their path.

But to Tian Hao's growing horror, the attack did nothing to loosen the bite force.

If anything, it only seemed to fuel the madness in the young man's eyes, his bite growing more intense.

"AHHH IM SO SICK OF YOU!!!" Tian Hao roared in rage, his fist crashing down with full force. He had never felt his way before.
