Chapter 33: Han Fei's feelings

In the Thorne Clan palace, Selena said to Han Fi, "Dear Han Fi, why aren't you having dinner tonight?"

Chen and Miya were busy with training today. Victor was with them too. In the hall, only Evelen, Selena, and Han Fi were present.

Han Fi replied, "Your Majesty, I'm not feeling hungry."

Evelen teasingly said, "Sister Selena, it's already night, and someone was supposed to meet someone tonight, maybe that's why she's not hungry."

Though Adrien had whispered the plan to meet Han Fi at night, Selena, Evelen, and Victor had overheard some of it. Adrien had told them a little about his personal training area, so they guessed he might meet her there. Still, they were curious—how could he meet Han Fi from such a distance?

Hearing this, Han Fi became a little nervous but didn't reply.

Noticing her anxiety, Selena gently said, "Han Fi, I understand your feelings, dear. We all know you might like Adrien, and none of us has any problem with that. So why are you so worried?"

Han Fi replied, "Your Majesty, I'm just an ordinary girl. Just because I look at the moon doesn't mean I can reach it."In truth, Han Fi was always a bit scared when it came to Adrien. She clearly understood the deep gap between them.

Evelen responded to her, "Who said you're ordinary? Just because you think you're not special doesn't mean you can't express your feelings to Adrien. Remember one thing, Han Fi—if we want something, we have to make efforts for it. Nothing comes without effort."

Han Fi looked at Evelen but didn't say anything.

Selena added, "If you like Adrien, you can express your feelings. Maybe he likes you too—maybe he's just stuck in his own confusion."Selena knew that ever since her son regained consciousness after the attack, he had been chasing strength and matters of the Thorne Clan. That's what worried everyone, especially after the incident in the prison. They all wanted Adrien to stay involved in other things, not lose his youth so early.

Hearing this, Han Fi looked at Selena with hopeful eyes, but there was also fear in them. Han Fi said, "But… what if he rejects me?"

Seeing both fear and hope in Han Fi's eyes, Selena laughed and said, "Then we'll just force Adrien to marry you. That way, he won't be able to run away from you. So be brave and express your feelings to him."

Han Fi said, "Alright, Your Majesty. If that's the case, I'll tell him how I feel today."

Selena caressed Han Fi's head and said, "That's the spirit of a brave child. And from today, you'll call me Mother and Victor Father, understood?"

Han Fi replied, "But what will others think if they hear this?"

Selena said, "My daughter, you must let go of the habits of ordinary people. You are now a cultivator. Cultivators work hard and write their own destiny."

Han Fi nodded in agreement, and a smile appeared on her face. After talking a bit more, Han Fi had dinner with Selena and Evelen and then entered the self-dimensional space as Adrien had instructed.

Upon entering the self-dimensional space, she found herself standing in front of the palace. She looked around when suddenly a voice echoed—"Han Fi, welcome once again to the self-dimensional space."

Han Fi said, "Guardian, is that you?"The voice replied, "Yes, it's me—the Guardian."

Han Fi asked, "Has Adrien arrived? I can't see him."

The Guardian replied, "Adrien entered the self-dimensional space a while ago. He asked about you as well. After waiting for some time, he went to the training stadium. If you wish, you can go meet him there."

Han Fi replied, "Alright," and walked toward the stadium. Upon reaching, she saw Adrien fighting three beasts at once—two looked like lions, and one resembled a horse.

She stood silently, waiting for Adrien to finish the battle.

Adrien was standing in the stadium at this moment. In front of him were White-Tail Scorpion Lions, along with a creature that resembled a horse and a crab.

Adrien threw his sword toward one of the White-Tail Scorpion Lions. The sword was filled with Qi, and it flew swiftly toward the lion. Before the beast could react, the sword pierced straight into its eye. Adrien rushed toward it, and a second sword—one that appeared suddenly in his hand from seemingly nowhere—was used to behead the lion before it could recover. The lion disappeared instantly.

The horse-and-crab-like beast attacked Adrien with its pincers. Adrien had already anticipated the move. He kicked the beast's pincer with great force, sending it flying. Adrien leapt back and landed at a distance. Without wasting a moment, he infused Qi into his sword again and hurled it at the second White-Tail Scorpion Lion. The lion tried to jump away, but the sword struck right below its neck. Adrien dashed forward, now holding a massive spear, and thrust it straight into the lion's mouth, dropping it instantly.

Adrien quickly picked up his sword and charged toward the horse-like creature approaching him. As the beast attacked with its pincers, Adrien swiftly dodged to the side and reached behind it. With a single slash, he severed both of its hind legs. The beast lost its balance and collapsed. Adrien wasted no time—he struck its pincers and sliced them off, then filled his sword with Qi and plunged it into the beast's head, ending the battle.

A notification from the system appeared for Adrien, but he ignored it as he spotted Han Fi still standing near the stadium.

Adrien called out to Han Fi and gestured for her to come over. Then, he consumed a Qi Restoring Pill.

After a while, Han Fi asked, "Adrien, how was your journey?"

Adrien replied, "It went peacefully—though it was a bit dull. I'm not used to such long journeys."

Han Fi nodded in understanding and then said, "Adrien, can we take a walk in the self-dimensional space?"

Adrien said, "Sure, let's go," and the two of them began walking through the self-dimensional space.

Han Fi took the initiative and held Adrien's hand. Adrien also gently locked his fingers with hers as they strolled together.

After spending some time walking and talking, Han Fi, now feeling a bit more at ease, said, "Adrien, there's something I want to tell you."

Adrien replied, "Han Fi, you never need my permission to say anything. If there's something you want to tell me, just say it freely."

Han Fi took a deep breath and held Adrien's hands tightly. Her heart was pounding rapidly. Looking into Adrien's eyes, she said, "Adrien, ever since you saved me and I regained consciousness… ever since I saw you, I've always felt so close to you."

Adrien looked at Han Fi seriously. He understood what she was trying to say. His own heartbeat had quickened, and he just kept gazing at her.

Han Fi continued, "I never had much hope in myself—especially when I was sick. But when you came, my whole world changed. Adrien, I want to tell you… I want to stay with you. I never want to be away from you again."

But before she could finish her sentence, two lips sealed hers, and the words remained unspoken. Han Fi was startled by the sudden kiss, but then she closed her eyes and began to feel Adrien's lips on hers.

Adrien pulled Han Fi closer, reducing the space between them. Their bodies pressed against each other. Han Fi entangled her fingers in Adrien's hair while Adrien ran his hands along her back.

They kept kissing for several minutes, until both of them were breathless. When they finally pulled apart, both were gasping. Han Fi's face was completely red.

Suddenly, both spoke at the same time—"Han Fi, I love you.""Adrien, I love you."

They looked at each other, and then their lips met again.

No one knew how much time had passed. Adrien was now sitting on the grass, and Han Fi was clinging to him like a shawl. She had rested her head on his shoulder.
