Help! I’m in Another World and the Dragon Man Want Me To Get Pregnant

Chapter 16: A Restful Night

Hearing that reassured Shen Xinghui.

Being left to fend for himself in an unfamiliar place would have been nerve-wracking.

Seeing his relief, Ignatius smiled.

"After your registration is complete, we'll visit the church," Ignatius added.

"The church?"

Why the church?

Surely, it wasn't for a wedding ceremony... right?

"At the church, they'll assess your skills. That's something the administrative office doesn't handle."

"Oh, that's what you meant!" Shen Xinghui let out a breath of relief.

"I thought for a moment you were going to suggest a marriage vow," he admitted sheepishly.

"Did you?" Ignatius asked with a mischievous glint in his eye.

"Ugh..." Shen Xinghui groaned, feeling his face flush.

With a mischievous smile, Ignatius teased Shen Xinghui.

He felt utterly embarrassed.

"Don't worry, I won't do anything against your will. I'm not a bad person," Ignatius reassured him.

"I know. I'm sorry for acting like I doubted you," Shen Xinghui apologized.

"It's fine. You're just too cute, Xinghui," Ignatius said with a grin.

Shen Xinghui never thought the day would come when a man would call him "cute."

"Anyway, if needed, we can handle things along the way. You must be tired today, so take a rest," Ignatius suggested.

"Oh, but I should clean up the dishes," Shen Xinghui insisted.

"Don't worry about it," Ignatius replied.

"No, I'll do it. I can handle these simple chores. I feel bad that you've been taking care of me so much, so let me do this," Shen Xinghui said, wanting to return some of the kindness he'd received.

He felt guilty about being so dependent without being able to give anything back.

He carried the used dishes to the kitchen and washed them with his hands, using some soap-like substance that produced bubbles.

It was likely soap.

Since there weren't many dishes, it didn't take long.

Afterward, he dried them with a cloth that Ignatius handed him.

Ignatius casually tossed the cleaned items into his waist pouch, making it look effortless.

It was surprisingly convenient.

"Thanks, this helps a lot. I can do it too, but I tend to get lazy and do it in a half-hearted way. You're so polite and thorough, Xinghui. You're very disciplined."

"That's not it. It's just that I want to repay the kindness I've received, and it's a little uncomfortable to keep relying on you," Shen Xinghui explained, his face flushing slightly.

But that was all it was.

He wasn't disciplined or anything like that.

Ignatius smiled warmly, his eyes softening as he said, "That sincerity of yours is what matters most."

Then he gently ruffled Shen Xinghui's hair with his large hand.

"Alright, tomorrow we'll be walking again. You must be tired, so let's get some rest tonight," Ignatius said.

"Can I use the bed however I like?" Shen Xinghui asked, looking at the wooden beds in the living room.

There were about ten of them, and they were roughly semi-double size with no partitions.

"Yeah, you can use one. Just make sure to 'clean' it before you use it. It won't be completely spotless, but it'll feel much better," Ignatius explained.

"Thank you," Shen Xinghui replied.

Considering that the beds had likely been used by many others, it was more of a mental reassurance than anything else.

He gratefully accepted Ignatius's offer.

When he lay down, the bed turned out to be surprisingly soft, with no strange smells, and he quickly felt at ease.

As soon as he lay down, sleepiness washed over him, and before long, he was deeply asleep, like a log.
