Chapter 13: Soon
Caspian hadn't exactly thought his date idea through, and Mosquito Girl's sulkiness, while cute, didn't make conversation any easier.
He discovered this detail after a minute of walking through the busy streets of W-City.
There was another, larger issue that cropped up the longer they traveled through the city.
"Is that supposed to be a monster costume?"
"Who cosplays as a fly?"
"Glorifying monsters in my city?"
The comments of passing pedestrians continued to pour in.
Eventually, that cute sulking of hers turned into visible irritation.
Caspian nudged her with his shoulder. "Don't listen to those clowns. You look perfect."
"Humph! Don't touch me," said Mosquito Girl as she looked away from him.
Is she blushing?
"Hey! You two, stop right there."
Caspian stopped, placing himself slightly in front of Mosquito Girl.
Approaching them was a very muscular and tall man. What stood out most were two metal armbands on both his arms, around his wrist and biceps.
"It's the A-Class Hero Heavy Kong!"
"He'll teach these monster apologists a lesson!"
Several voices cried out at the appearance of the A-Class Hero.
Caspian hadn't predicted such nonsense, he really should've planned for the date.
"What do you want?"
Heavy Kong looked down at them in ridicule. "If you're going to dress like monsters, you're going to be treated like monsters."
The nearby crowd that had gathered cheered him on.
Caspian glanced back at Mosquito Girl, expecting to see her fuming with rage. Instead, she looked down, shame written all over her face.
Heavy Kong's deep voice rumbled through the air. "Don't look away from me, jumpsuit. You'll get an even greater punishment for backing such a disgraceful act."
BAM!
"Ahh! Someone help. Heavy Kong shot through that building!"
Tuning out the irritating noises around him, Caspian extended his hand to the wide-eyed Mosquito Girl. "Come on. I have an idea."
After a moment of delay, she took his hand, her eyes looking anywhere but into his.

Am I actually angered by him? How could it possibly be that…?
Mosquito Girl's thoughts spiraled in confusion.
She told herself the heat in her veins was anger—it had to be anger—but the lie crumbled under the weight of her own thoughts. He had landed her in this new way of life, yet the mere idea of him ignited a traitorous warmth deep inside. Was it his strength that stirred this feeling? These primal, unforgivable instincts of hers were clawing their way to the surface, threatening to overwhelm her.
And when Caspian attacked a fellow hero to shield her, she would choke before admitting how it rattled her.
"What's taking him so long?" She tapped her foot impatiently against the sidewalk.
After taking her hand, he had led her to the front of some store and told her to wait outside. The nerve.
If she had to wait much longer, she would storm in there and let him have it.
Luckily for him, he exited the store moments later.
"What too—" Her mouth fell open.
"How is it?"
Caspian stepped out of the store, now wearing an absurd bug costume.
She really didn't know how to respond.
"Let's be monster apologists together. How about it?"
There's that feeling again…I-I like it.
Mosquito Girl extended her hand, the faintest smile blossoming upon her lips. "Fine. And I'll even allow you to hold my hand…"

The day flew by, and before Mosquito Girl knew it, they were back at the entrance of the House of Takoyaki.
Being around him wasn't so bad after all. Yet, confusion still swirled within her, a tangle of emotions she couldn't quite unravel.
To her hidden delight, he asked if she would like to go on a date with him for the next several nights after her shift.
The following day, time crawled at a snail's pace until her shift finally ended. True to his word, Caspian arrived, and together they explored W-City.
He took her to places she had never been to or had even thought about — dancing, the movies, even an ice skating rink that proved far more challenging than she cared to admit thanks to the new robotic arms and legs of hers.
Time blurred, and soon, their final date night arrived.
On that night, a change took place that would alter their future forever.

"Here's your deluxe private room. Have a great time. If you need anything, just use the phone inside." An employee said before walking away.
Caspian pushed open the door, plastic bag in hand, to the karaoke room, stepping in from the dimly lit hallway. The faint scent of strawberries behind him mixed with the cool blast of AC as neon lights flickered to life. He gestured for Mosquito Girl to follow. She paused, glancing back at the dark corridor before striding in, her crimson eyes scanning the sleek leather couches and glossy table.
The door clicked shut, plunging the room into stillness. Caspian's gaze snapped to the camera in the upper corner, a swivel-mounted eye. In a flash faster than the camera's shutter or Mosquito Girl's senses, he wrenched its lens upward, freezing it on the blank ceiling. To any observer, he'd never moved — but the carpet bore faint scuff marks, stretched taut like snapped threads.
"Are you wearing perfume?"
Mosquito girl fidgeted. "W-What about it?"
"You smell great. It really suits you."
"Thanks… I like sweet things." She murmured, her cheeks turning rosy.
Caspian grabbed the songbook from the table, flipping through it. "Pick something."
Mosquito Girl eyed the untouched microphone warily and said, "You expect me to sing?"
"That can wait. I have something to give you." Caspian, remembering the plastic bag in his hand, gestured toward the couch.
After taking a seat, the two faced each other as he handed her the bag.
"This is?" She carefully opened it with furrowed brows.
"A little present."
Mosquito Girl held up the 'Oppai' hoodie. "I told you I don't need to wear any human clothing."
"Other men may get the wrong idea if they see you like that."
Mosquito Girl tilted her head. "You have some strange patterns of thought."
"I know. So, you don't want the hoodie?"
"No! I want it." She said, pressing the hoodie against herself.
Caspian smiled as he watched her set the hoodie aside and remove her apron. In that moment, his mind went blank, his attention utterly absorbed by her bodily changes.
On each of her breasts rested a pale lavender protrusion. His gaze naturally drifted lower, settling between her comely thighs, where a glistening slit of the same hue greeted him, its delicate form crowned by a small bud near the top.
He could feel blood rushing to his lower member as it painfully pressed against his jumpsuit.
When he glanced to see her reaction, he noticed she was in a similar state of shock. It was apparent it was her first time seeing these changes as well.
Mosquito Girl looked up, her glossy crimson eyes locking onto his. "I…you did this to me."
Caspian's reasoning shattered.
Pulling her into his arms, he pressed his lips against hers, tilting his head to avoid her proboscis.
She didn't resist, instead, she wrapped her arms around his back.
Lost in their passion, their tongues entwined in a deep, heated kiss.
"Ahh… C-Caspian…"
Hearing her aroused voice only spurred him on more. His hands worked their way to her front, where he squeezed her sizeable soft breasts as his thumbs circled her quickly hardening nipples.
"Hngh!"
A few moments later, she attempted to push him off of her, leading Caspian to release her from his embrace.
They both gazed into each other's eyes, breaths heavy.
Mosquito Girl broke the silence. "Not here. Not yet…"
"You're right. We're moving too fast, and I'm sure you need some time to adjust to these changes..."
She slipped on the hoodie and then, with a gentleness that caught him off guard, took his hand.
"Soon," she said, a warmth in her expression that had never been there before.
Caspian's heart thrummed when he saw her. This feeling right now, is this excitement? The thrill of love and lust. My heart is beating so wildly. If battling won't cut it, then I know what direction I need to go in order to…
He stood from the couch and walked over to the microphone. Turning to her, he held out his hand. "Come on. Let's do this together."
Mosquito Girl hopped up from the couch, bounded to his side, and leaned on him. "Always, together."
