Hero For Lust

Chapter 4: An Exposition Dump

The Sun hung high above the deep blue sky on this hot summer afternoon.

An uneventful week had passed since Caspian made out with Mosquito Girl and saved Genos.

Overall, he believed he handled the situation well.

At the moment, he lay on the floor futon in his room, a light breeze blowing through the open window.

Mosquito Girl, like Wavygyaza, held a place among his top six. His excitement surged when he met and held her. Honestly, the perfect feel of her big bottom alone made his day.

Thoughts like these, once simple delusions, didn't surprise him, considering he spent the last decade of his previous life in isolation. He understood those years alone hadn't come without a cost. But now that those six delusions are a reality, he greedily vowed to make them all his.

A minor obstacle stood in his way, however.

Caspian didn't know how to make these fiery women fall for him, let alone agree to share him.

Realizing mental simulations wouldn't solve anything, he shifted his focus to figuring out how to best use his knowledge of future events to bring himself closer to his dream.

Another issue he faced involved the topic of his disciple and the others to follow.

How good of a master could he be? While he had never been in a similar position before, he could still do better than Saitama. Unlike Saitama, he actually wanted to be a master and help his disciples grow into true powerhouses. But how?

Caspian's frustration grew and grew. He wasn't a genius by any means, but even he should be able to come up with a method to train his disciples. Did he really have to resort to the random BS method?

The answer, of course, was—

"Master!"

Caspian jumped up from his floor futon, quickly folding it before reaching the entrance to his apartment room.

The door creaked as he pushed it open, his head poking through the gap. "You finally showed up... Genos."

Genos stood before him, his expression serious and unfazed. "It's no surprise you've already learned my name, Master Caspian."

Caspian pushed the door open fully and said, "Well, come in and have some… Tea? Yeah, there should be tea somewhere in the kitchen."

"Yes!"

Several minutes later…

Caspian and Genos sat across from each other at the living room table, steam curling from the two cups of tea set neatly in place.

"I see you're already back in one piece."

"Yes, my body is mostly mechanical. As long as there are parts, repairs are quick."

"You're going to ask me about my parts. The answer is simple: I don't use any. My lack of hair isn't a result of enhancements—I'm just bald, despite being so young." Caspian leaned back in confidence.

Genos' expression shifted. "Incredible! Master, you've accepted your baldness and are stronger for it."

"No, tha—"

"Me? You'll listen to my problems?"

"No. You completely missed the point I was trying to make."

"Actually, four years ago, when I was 15, I was still a normal human being."

"Are you programmed to say this?"

"Although we had to pinch pennies, my family and I live a peaceful and fairly happy life. But one day, a crazed cyborg went out of control and attacked our town.

The insane cyborg…

Most likely, a faulty upgrade caused his brain to malfunction. He destroyed everything in sight.

Parks, schools, buildings, my house…

He even took my family's lives. Miraculously, I survived."

"I don't think even a Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon could halt this recollection."

"However, I was but a helpless 15-year-old, weary and alone in a ruined town. That's when Doctor Kuseno happened to pass through.

Doctor Kuseno, a scientist for justice, was on a mission to stop the destruction caused by the rampaging cyborg.

I begged Doctor Kuseno to perform augmentation surgery on my body.

That's how I was reborn as a cyborg who fights for justice. I promised Doctor Kuseno that one day I would terminate the evil cyborg."

Caspian nodded. "Let me sum it u—"

"It's been four years since that day. I'm now 19, and I've been wandering from town to town, eliminating evil. I've destroyed countless monsters and criminal organizations.

But I have been unable to find any clues about the insane cyborg and have grown frustrated and restless.

I find myself chasing a vision of that cyborg whenever I face my enemies.

Then last week, when that mosquito monster appeared, I let my concentration slip. I was convinced I could not lose to anything but the rampaging cyborg, so I neglected to analyze the data on my opponent and rushed to confront her."

"Her name is Mosquito Girl." Caspian's head slouched. He had underestimated the toll of this exposition dump.

"The result, as you know, was that an opponent with immense strength bested me. If you Master Caspian, had not been in the area, I would have undoubtedly been destroyed.

Master Caspian, you saved my life.

I owe Doctor Kuseno my life, but now I am also indebted to you. That debt weighs heavily on me. I must not die until I destroy that cyborg. And to do that, I must continue fighting evil as a righteous cyborg until he appears before me one day.

I need to get stronger.

Last week, when I saw your attack, I knew I had to study under you as your apprentice. If I only I could be as strong as you, Master Caspian!

I have an old enemy to defeat, and not just for my own sake. It's for my hometown, and for Doctor Kuseno. I realize I am still inexperienced. But right now, I need enormous power so I can eradicate the greatest of evils!

Doctor Kuseno is—"

"Enough, dammit! This isn't new information!"

Nestled deep in a mountainous forest was a slender, skyscraper-like building.

This building, of course, was the House of Evolution.

"Mosquito Girl was defeated? With one strike, you say? Well, she was just a prototype, after all."

Dr. Genus sat in his office chair, watching the large holographic screen displayed above his desk.

"Why is he naked? No, more importantly, why is kissing her?"

"Unclear. He may have a mosquito fetish," said Dr. Genus' 28th clone, who stood in a shadow covered section of the room.

"Perhaps, given that he has that mosquito in a jar with him, but given the way he handled Mosquito Girl, I believe his fetish to lie elsewhere.

No matter. He'll make an excellent specimen. We shall study his physiology, by force if necessary. Send a messenger and invite him here, to our House of Evolution.

"One more thing. Have you located Mosquito Girl's body?"

Clone 28 stepped out from the shadows. "Yes. Remarkably, she survived. We currently have her in the underground medical facility. Now that you have mentioned her, I need to ask—did you notice the oddity of his strike?"

Dr. Genus frowned and had the clip of her getting struck on the bottom replayed at its slowest possible playback speed.

He lurched forward toward the holographic screen, wide-eyed, as the scene replayed on repeat.

Dr. Genus flopped back into his chair, muttering, "H-he's angling the strike so she collides perfectly with the building! This level of speed and precision is incomprehensible.

He wanted her to survive.

But why at that angle... Ah! Mosquito Girl's blood sack. With it full, she would be consumed by bloodlust, unable to think of anything but draining the life from every living creature she came across.

He'll come for us, I'm certain of it. Expedite Mosquito Girl's healing and call off our messenger team."

Clone 28 wore a troubled look. "I'm afraid they've already arrived."

Dr. Genus frowned and gave a deep sigh. "Perhaps that man will spare another one of my creations."
