Chapter 17: Ch17- One Punch Kills!
"Can we have a discussion...?"
The thin bamboo pole looked at the figure radiating with murderous intent, his mind racing to choose his words carefully.
In the dark night, he couldn't make out the other person's face clearly, but the overwhelming aura of danger that radiated from him made it clear: this was no ordinary opponent.
Yogan raised his head, his gaze briefly catching the girl who was trapped in the palm of the evil warrior. Her eyes were filled with a mixture of grievance and helplessness.
"Woo... woo!" she tried to speak, but all that escaped her lips was a faint sound.
The thin bamboo pole immediately picked up on the subtle relationship between them. He was about to speak, but before he could, the fat man beside him grinned and spoke up.
"F**k! A little brat who hasn't even grown all his hair—he almost scared me!"
With that, he turned toward Yogan and, licking his lips, rushed forward, his massive body charging directly at him.
"Second brother, don't!" The thin bamboo pole was startled, his attempt to stop the fat man too late.
Yogan remained still, his slightly raised right fist glowing with a faint white light. He watched calmly as the heavy-set man charged toward him.
"Haha, just what I wanted!" The fat man bared his teeth and laughed manically. His palm, large enough to crush a small tree, shot toward Yogan, aiming to slam him down.
The fierce wind generated by the fat man's massive palm whipped through the air, causing Yogan's hair to flutter wildly. In the dim starlight, the handsome features of his face became briefly illuminated, reflecting in the fat man's eyes.
The next second...
The fists and palms collided.
Bang!
A thunderous explosion echoed, the shockwave radiating outward, centered on the two combatants.
The grin on the fat man's face froze instantly. His pupils dilated in terror.
Indescribable horror gripped him as, before he could process the situation, a surge of power blasted through him.
Boom!
The force of Yogan's punch surged through the fat man's palm and straight into his body. His eyes, now bloodshot and wide, filled with shock and disbelief.
The huge man was sent flying back, his body lifting off the ground like a ragdoll, propelled by the immense energy.
The bones in his body cracked and groaned under the strain of the energy, his massive frame twisting and contorting midair.
Scarlet blood burst from his mouth, spilling out in thick spurts.
Bang!
The fat man's body slammed heavily to the ground in front of Chen Quan and the others, the earth trembling beneath the impact.
"Yuan... Brother Yuan..." Chen Quan gasped, his voice barely above a whisper as he supported the broken shield in his hands. His heart raced with disbelief.
Behind him, the young man with sword-shaped eyebrows and bright eyes, his chest heaving, stared blankly.
"Too... too strong!" he stammered, the words barely escaping his throat.
The mighty warrior who had them cornered just moments ago had been defeated in a single blow by someone of their own age. It felt like a dream to him.
---
Meanwhile, the Green Ghost Wolf opened its massive mouth and let out a roar that shook the air like the tolling of a great bell.
A fierce breath surged from its body, enough to make even the students who had yet to enter the first grade stagger back, some of them falling to the ground in an attempt to steady themselves.
"This beast is on their side!" Chen Quan realized with horror, his grip tightening on his shield. He gritted his teeth, determined to help. "Brother Yuan, save Sister Jiang first! I'll hold it off!"
But Yogan didn't seem to hear him.
His dark eyes were fixed on the man and the beast in the field, his focus unwavering.
Slowly, he loosened his clenched fist and spread his palm wide.
In contrast to the fat man's fierce palm earlier, Yogan's right hand was slender and delicate, yet...
The moment the red and white light mark began to glow on his palm, the energy around them shifted violently.
The Green Ghost Wolf, towering in size, trembled as a wave of fear swept over it. Its green eyes widened in shock as it suddenly turned and fled, without a moment's hesitation.
That force was something it couldn't possibly withstand, even at its peak.
The wolf's powerful limbs pushed off the ground, propelling it forward with lightning speed. It crossed more than ten meters in an instant, not even daring to glance back.
It disappeared into the night, leaving only a faint rustling in its wake.
Chen Quan, still gripping his shield, watched in disbelief. His eyes widened with confusion and awe.
"Am I... am I really that strong?" he muttered, unable to believe his own eyes. "This beast didn't even dare to look at me?!"
---
The thin bamboo pole watched with growing dread as the Green Ghost Wolf fled. His heart raced with panic. Tonight, he had hoped to have some fun with these students, but he had unwittingly stumbled upon a true monster.
His eyes darkened, his breath quickening. He began to retreat, holding the girl tightly in his arms, his steps hurried.
But Yogan's gaze never left him.
The mere weight of Yogan's stare made his scalp tingle with fear.
"Don't move, or else..." the thin bamboo pole warned, his voice trembling as he gripped the girl's neck tighter.
But before he could finish his sentence, Yogan took a step forward.
The calmness in his gaze unsettled the thin bamboo pole, and for some reason, his claws, which had been gripping the girl's neck, began to tremble.
Jiang Qiuran, her lips trembling, watched as Yogan stepped closer to her. A bitter smile crossed her face as she closed her eyes tightly, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"I told you not to come any closer..." she whispered to herself, but her words were drowned out by the suffocating tension in the air.
The thin bamboo pole's grip on her neck tightened as he raised his right arm in a last-ditch effort to maintain control.
But in that instant...
The terrifying aura of death engulfed his heart.
