Chapter 14: Chapter 13: Testing Strength
Kenji slowly sheathed his blade, exhaling as the last goblin crumbled to dust.
He bent down, collecting the magic crystals scattered on the ground before moving forward.
As he ventured deeper into the dungeon, more goblins crawled from the walls, their yellow eyes glowing in the darkness.
Kenji's gaze remained calm.
"More of you, huh?"
The weak creatures lunged, screeching as they attacked.
Kenji vanished.
FLASH.
A single arc of yellow lightning tore through them.
SHNK.
By the time he reappeared—they were already dead.
Kenji sighed, dusting off his coat.
"Not even a challenge."
By the time he reached the second floor, his bag was already filled with crystals and loot.
The monsters here were different—Kobolds.
Bigger. Stronger. Faster than goblins.
But still—not enough.
Kenji slaughtered his way through the second floor, his movements fluid and precise.
From there—he continued deeper.
Third floor—Pig-Headed Warriors.
Fourth floor—Poisonous Moths.
Fifth floor—Unicorn Rabbits.
Sixth floor—Blue Swallowtail Butterflies.
Kenji never stopped moving.
By the time he reached the fifteenth floor, he had been fighting non-stop for half a day.
Yet—his breathing remained steady.
Then—
"Finally… something interesting."
From the dungeon walls, massive humanoid figures emerged.
Their red fur bristled, and their massive horns gleamed under the dim dungeon light.
Minotaurs.
Unlike the monsters before them, these creatures were different.
They weren't just stronger—they were smarter, faster, and deadlier.
For the first time since entering the dungeon—Kenji smirked.
"Now we're talking."
---
True Combat Training
Seven Minotaurs snorted aggressively, their massive hooves stomping against the stone floor.
Behind them—hordes of lesser monsters emerged.
Kobolds. Goblins. Killer Ants.
Kenji gripped his Nichirin Blade, but—
He didn't attack.
Instead—he rushed toward them.
But not to kill.
He dodged. Weaved. Countered.
Instead of cutting them down, he used them.
Every time he dodged, his agility increased.
Every time he blocked, his durability grew stronger.
Every time he used magic, his magic power improved.
Kenji wasn't just fighting—he was training.
This was how the world worked.
Every movement, every strike, every spell—became experience.
And Kenji planned to exploit it.
Of course—
Anyone else would already be dead.
A level zero adventurer trying to fight this many monsters at once?
Suicide.
But Kenji was different.
He moved through the battlefield like a phantom, his blade blocking attacks with inhuman precision.
More and more monsters emerged from the walls.
Twenty Minotaurs.
Hundreds of lesser creatures.
Kenji grinned.
"Perfect."

Meanwhile…
Deep within the dungeon—on the sixteenth floor, a group of elite adventurers descended.
At their head—stood a small figure wielding a spear.
A Pallum.
Despite his size, his presence alone commanded respect.
This was Finn Deimne—Captain of the Loki Familia.
At his side—Ais Wallenstein, the Sword Princess.
Behind them—
Riviera Ljos Alf, the Nine Hells.
Gareth Landrock, the Giant of Destruction.
Bete Loga, the Ferocious Wolf.
Tiona and Tione Hiryute, the Amazon Twins.
Every single one of them was a Level 6 adventurer.
One of the strongest teams in Orario.
Finn turned to his group.
"You've all worked hard. After this trip, take a few days to rest."
The others nodded.
But—before Ais could respond—
ROOOOAAAAAARRRRR!
A massive echoing sound reached them from the fifteenth floor.
The entire party froze.
Ais's golden eyes widened slightly—her grip tightening around her sword.
Finn narrowed his eyes.
"…What was that?"
Without waiting, Ais turned her head—staring toward the source.
Something… was happening...
