Hikigaya's God Slayer Story

Chapter 208: 38-39

Chapter 38 – The Eastern Sovereign

When Anxhela opened her eyes again, she found herself lying inside an ancient pavilion.

Her strength was recovering, the surface wounds on her body had healed, and she was now wearing a white dress.

Having lost her divinity but remained on the mortal world for a long time, she had learned to identify her location through architectural styles.

If she was not mistaken, she was in the East—specifically, in a region called East Asia. The pavilion was very old, clearly not something built recently.

"Big sister, you're awake?"

A boy's voice came from beside her.

Anxhela looked over.

It was a rather handsome young man, but Anxhela disliked the look in his eyes—it was as if he was looking at some sort of plaything.

"Filthy insect, you had best explain immediately why I am here, or else..."

"Or else what?" the boy chuckled. "Big sister, you really haven't figured out your situation yet."

Despite her threat, the boy actually laughed—something she rarely experienced.

She was more accustomed to seeing people tremble in fear before her.

"Very well, I'm listening," Anxhela said with a cold sneer.

She had clearly been rescued, though she didn't believe that the boy before her was capable of doing it. However, from his tone, it was obvious he knew quite a bit about what had happened to her.

"You were saved. You should be thanking my master for that. But don't think she saved you out of goodwill, so don't go doing anything stupid because of it." The mockery faded from the boy's face. He pursed his lips, though the faint curl at the corners of his mouth suggested he still didn't take Anxhela seriously. "Honestly, in my opinion, you might've been better off dead."

"What bold eyes you have. Do you even know who I am—?"

"Of course. You're the leader of the dark sorcerers," the boy interrupted her. "My name is Lu Yinghua. Now that you're awake, come meet my master. A word of advice—don't make her angry."

"I see. So your master is a Godslayer." Anxhela sat up.

The wounds she suffered were primarily caused by the power of a Godslayer.

To undo such damage, only another Godslayer on this land would be capable.

Reaching that conclusion wasn't difficult.

"You're pretty clear-headed, Big Sis. I'm starting to respect you a little." Lu Yinghua chuckled, then walked to the edge of the pavilion and made a gesture of invitation.

Anxhela snorted and decided not to bicker with the bold human youth. She followed him outside.

There didn't seem to be many people here.

In Anxhela's experience, humans were no different from insects—they would cram into any livable space they could find.

But this place wasn't like that. The land was fertile, the air was pure, with many traces of human activity—yet no humans in sight.

It seemed the Godslayer did not care for crowds.

Anxhela found herself somewhat agreeing with that sentiment, though she knew she shouldn't.

They were deep in lush mountains.

As Lu Yinghua led her through forests, Anxhela finally saw the Godslayer who stood in this land.

She was an extraordinary beauty—even a divine ancestor like Anxhela had to admit that.

Tall, dressed in an ancient Eastern-style silk gown, its front tied with sashes.

Her high, bound chest strained against the fabric, and the hem of her long skirt dragged along the ground even when she stood.

The sleeves were puffed and loose, revealing only jade-like hands—an elegant, splendid style of dress.

But Anxhela wasn't surprised by her appearance. Throughout history, Godslayers came in all forms—there were supreme beauties like the woman before her, as well as those hideously ugly.

There were courageous warriors who charged forward, and vile rats crawling through sewers.

These traits were not prerequisites for becoming a Godslayer—in fact, they were irrelevant.

"So it was you, then? The Godslayer who rescued me from John Pluto Smith?" Anxhela stepped forward and asked the woman, who was sitting in meditation with her eyes closed in the forest clearing.

Lu Yinghua looked at her like she had a death wish.

"Watch your tone, witch," the beauty spoke.

She opened her eyes, revealing a piercing gaze completely at odds with her refined appearance—sharp as blades, heavy as hammers.

As proof, Anxhela was struck flying through the air by her gaze alone.

"You're still useful, so I gave you light punishment. Next time, I'll dig out your bones and strip your flesh to feed the lovely creatures of this mountain."

Without any visible support, the beautiful woman rose to her feet—almost as if she were floating.

"Yinghua, haven't you taught this witch basic manners? The last one at least knew how to behave."

Though her tone was only mildly reproachful, Lu Yinghua's strong body—trained from youth—bent over from the blow, and his handsome face contorted in pain.

"Thank you, Master, for not punishing your disciple too harshly." Despite feeling like his intestines were broken, Lu Yinghua knew that the fact he hadn't been sent flying meant his master had shown extraordinary restraint this time.

"As long as you understand. Go see if she's dead. If not, drag her back."

"What if she is dead, Master?"

"Xiaohua's had an upset stomach recently. Maybe witch flesh will cure it."

Lu Yinghua gave a wry smile.

"Xiaohua" was a tiger—the name didn't suit it at all.

His master might have disliked humans, but she was affectionate toward animals—those that didn't accept her affection simply got beaten to death.

"Understood, Master." He quickly complied and darted off toward where the divine ancestor had been flung.

Shortly after, he returned carrying a blood-spewing Anxhela, and then—he tossed her to the ground like garbage, clearly reluctant to hold her any longer.

He really didn't like contact with women. Even if she wasn't human, she still appeared as a human girl, which he found extremely repulsive.

Many times, he wished humans could reproduce like single-celled organisms—then his family wouldn't constantly try to find him a wife.

That was terrifying…

"Cough… cough…" Anxhela vomited more blood as she climbed to her feet. The ferocity in her gaze had diminished, but she remained stubborn.

"Not bad. If you had shown submission already, I would have looked down on you. As a reward, I'll at least tell you my name."

Facing the stubborn glare of the divine ancestor, the beautiful woman smiled slightly.

"I am Luo Hao, the supreme embodiment of martial might surpassing all emperors, kings, and generals across time and space. I enjoy a reverence unmatched by any ruler—the strongest of all, in rank and in power."

The Eastern Cult Leader recounted her greatness to the divine ancestor.

Had it been another human unfamiliar with her, they might have found this absurd. But Luo Hao spoke with complete seriousness—and her tone had an oddly persuasive weight.

The very picture of someone spewing nonsense with deadly conviction.

However, anyone who knew her would never dispute it. Though there were indeed one or two who disregarded her proclamations.

Luo Hao didn't give Anxhela time to ponder all this.

She continued, "The specifics, Yinghua will explain to you. Now, disappear from my sight—because I already want to gouge out your eyes and slice off your ears."

Chapter 39: Lolicons These Days Are Getting Way Too Damn Arrogant

After weathering a chaotic and turbulent stretch of time, Hikigaya Hachiman finally began his senior year of high school in this new world.

It had taken quite some effort, but he'd finally managed to get the two members of the Hikigaya household to tentatively believe that his frequent disappearances were because he was out practicing martial arts.

As for the Egyptian magicians, he explained them away as friends he'd made while training.

With this, his absurd truancy record was finally being completely ignored—despite how obviously ridiculous that excuse sounded.

Of course, anyone who actually believed it had to be pretty ridiculous themselves.

Through this process, Hachiman also gained a more direct understanding of his "parents" in this world.

Turns out, both of them were martial arts experts.

Not exactly top-level masters, but definitely high-caliber.

His mom was apparently even stronger than his dad. But his dad did have mad skills behind the wheel of a van—and a habit of kicking the door open when getting out.

Unfortunately, both of them also had ridiculously quirky personalities, leading Hachiman to suspect they'd bashed their brains in during training...

It's worth mentioning that Hikigaya Komachi had finally entered high school as well. According to her, not being in the same school as her brother was a huge disappointment—she couldn't use her trashy big bro as a foil to enhance her own cuteness, and that really bummed her out.

Hachiman, on the other hand, was quite pleased.

After all, his little sister could be a real handful—like how she recently started telling him she kept dreaming about having a younger brother.

But after his weirdo parents set off on another trip, the house finally settled down.

With some leisurely time on his hands, Hachiman even began thinking that if life continued like this, it wouldn't be so bad.

Until one Saturday night, he got a text message.

"Apologies, but there's something important I'd like your help with. If you're free, could we meet tomorrow at noon?"

Signed: Mariya Yuri.

Honestly, this caught Hachiman completely off guard.

Aside from that incident in China, he'd barely interacted with this girl.

While she technically had obligations to help the Committee for the Compilation of True History, she was clearly different from those who were officially affiliated with it.

Because of that, Hachiman decided not to go out the next day.

All things considered, although he could be blunt and irritable, he wasn't entirely cold-hearted toward people he didn't dislike.

At noon, the doorbell rang right on time.

Hachiman opened the door, only to find a young girl outside. She looked up at him with wide eyes full of excitement and curiosity.

"Big brother, I finally found you!" she chirped energetically.

Hachiman was dumbfounded.

Who the hell…?

Wait—did Hikigaya Keitaro have a secret love child or something!? And now she's come to the door!? Dude, are you not scared your wife's gonna straight-up kill you!?

"I have no idea who you are, but… come in and take a seat,"

he said, thinking things through as he invited her in and offered a drink.

After they sat down on the couch, Hachiman got straight to the point.

"So, little girl—who exactly are you?"

"Sorry, big brother. I actually sent that text pretending to be my sister."

The girl stuck out her tongue playfully.

Wait— Mariya Yuri's sister!?

Jeez, this personality's way different...

Hachiman didn't think the girl was lying. He could tell she was telling the truth.

Still, it was strange.

"How did you even get my number? I'm pretty sure I never gave it to your sister."

"Oh, a very kind uncle gave it to me!"

That "kind uncle" wouldn't happen to be that scruffy-looking guy, would he?

Goddammit. I let my guard down just because we shared a meal and a drink... and now he's out there leaking my personal info?

"Alright. So what do you want?"

"I'm really sorry! After hearing about you from my sister, I really, really wanted to meet you, so I worked up the courage to reach out."

"Oh…"

Hachiman looked at her skeptically.

She didn't seem like she needed to "work up" any kind of courage.

Honestly, she reminded him of Komachi. No way someone like that needed courage to do anything.

"So why are you calling me big brother, anyway?"

he asked, taking a sip of his drink.

"Well, obviously you're going to add my sister to your harem, right? That makes you my brother-in-law!"

"Add her to my wha—!? What harem!? What are you talking about!? Please, just call me Hachiman-san!"

Yup. This girl's personality was 100% Komachi 2.0.

"But I can't do that. You're the man who's conquered my sister's heart! That would be rude. Please, I beg you, let me call you big brother!"

"There's literally nothing I can even say anymore… Can you at least start by introducing yourself?"

Knowing that logic wasn't going to work, Hachiman decided to try a different route—find out her name, then call her parents and tell them to come get her.

"Ah, sorry! My name is Mariya Hikari. I'm just a humble little girl—please take good care of me from now on!" she said with burning enthusiasm. "I'll serve you well so that my sister can give birth to your children as soon as possible!"

SPLURT—!

Hachiman sprayed his drink out all over the place.

"Miss Mariya, I need you to immediately, right now, give me your parents' phone number!!"

"Um, big brother, can I ask a favor first?"

"Hey—did you not hear what I just said!?"

"It's just… I had no other option. So I really wanted to rely on such a handsome and chivalrous big brother!"

"Young lady, you have good eyes! Tell me, what do you need!?"

And just like that, Hachiman completely forgot about calling her parents.

In that moment, he felt like not saving the world would be an unforgivable waste of his clearly radiant heroism.

This girl—she understood him! Saw right through to his core! He had no choice but to help her!

"Actually, before I found you, the young master of the Kuhoutsuka clan called me… and asked to meet—"

She didn't even finish her sentence before Hachiman clenched his fist and sneered confidently.

"I get it. Heh…"

He let out a cold laugh, his aura rising dramatically.

"Lolicons these days are getting way too damn bold. Trying to make a move on a little girl in broad daylight!? Tell me where he is. Your big bro will go end him right now!"

But there was no reply.

Hachiman looked over—and saw Mariya Hikari staring at him in complete, wide-eyed shock.

What the hell was that look for...?

Now that he thought about it—Kuhoutsuka clan? That name… it sounded weirdly familiar.
