Chapter 201: **Chapter 201: Buckbeak's Sudden Attack**
A sliver of Lily's soul was hidden within Harry, so could she really continue down the path of "death"?
An incomplete soul couldn't leave this world—but Cohen definitely hadn't seen a third soul in Harry.
It was possible that the "sacrificial protection" spell sacrificed Lily's soul, or perhaps it was as Dumbledore said: "Those who love us never truly leave us, they live on in us."
But some questions just couldn't be figured out all at once, and Cohen had more important things to do right now.
Like stopping Fudge from catching Sirius Black. For no other reason than simply disliking Fudge.

Cohen originally had three plans. Plan A was to catch Peter Pettigrew, hand him over to the Ministry of Magic, and clear Sirius's name.
Plan B was to just off Peter Pettigrew, but that would mean Sirius would have to continue being a fugitive for a really, really, really long time.
Plan C was to keep Peter Pettigrew to help resurrect Voldemort.
Plan C didn't quite align with Cohen and Voldemort's long-term partnership policy. The resurrection of Voldemort could only be done by Cohen, and Cohen had already found a suitable body for Voldemort—those two flesh puppets controlled by Cohen were a very high-quality choice.
Letting Peter Pettigrew resurrect Voldemort would be a bit too uncontrollable.
Plan B was a bit too silly. Sirius's ending would be exactly the same as in the original story, and Cohen wouldn't feel very involved.
So, that left Plan A—capturing Peter Pettigrew alive wasn't exactly easy, but it wasn't impossible either. That cowardly rat could easily scurry away when he realized Cohen was trying to catch him. Hogwarts had way too many mouse holes.
On the other hand, a closed room with only one exit, like the Shrieking Shack, would be much more suitable for cornering a rat.

During the second period of Transfiguration in the morning, Professor McGonagall noticed the worried looks on most of the students' faces. To get them to put aside their fear of the "terrible future" and focus on the lesson, Professor McGonagall shared some of her views on Divination—"the least precise branch of magic."
Hermione strongly agreed with this. Harry and Ron, thanks to Cohen, hadn't really believed Trelawney's words either. However, the other students who had chosen Divination still firmly believed in Harry's ominous fate and Professor Trelawney's dramatic predictions.
After Transfiguration ended and they had lunch, they went outside the castle, down the grassy slope, towards Hagrid's hut by the Forbidden Forest.
The Slytherin students who shared their class were also there, although Draco Malfoy had been much more subdued these past few years—he usually didn't dare to cause any trouble when Cohen was around, as if he thought Cohen would suck out his soul if he so much as twitched.
"Malfoy looks really awkward," Ron glanced over at the Slytherin side. "It's like he wants to make some snarky comment to Hagrid but he's also scared of something..."
"It'll be good if he just doesn't cause trouble," Hermione said. "Maybe he's afraid Hagrid will take points from him..."
Hagrid was standing by the door of his hut, waiting for the students.
"C'mon now! Hurry up!" Hagrid called out as the students approached. "Got somethin' really good to show ya today! This is gonna be a brilliant lesson! Everyone here? Right then, follow me!"
Hagrid led the confused students on a short walk around the edge of the Forbidden Forest to a small, fenced-in paddock.
Hagrid gathered the students by the fence and told them to open their books—
"Our hands will get bitten off!" Lavender Brown exclaimed. "This class can't be this dangerous!"
"Professor, how are we supposed to open our books?" Hermione asked Hagrid, trying to sound objective. *The Monster Book of Monsters* was struggling menacingly, even tied up with ropes or belts, trying to bite their hands.
"Oh..." Hagrid looked a bit disappointed. "None of you could open your books, eh? Didn't even try?"

"The people who tried are all in St. Mungo's," Malfoy finally couldn't help himself. "This school must be going to pot, letting someone like this be a professor, 'murdering students'—"
"I wasn't tryin' to murder ya!" Hagrid连忙 waved his hands. "I was just..."
"Shut your mouth, Malfoy!" Harry hissed at Malfoy.
"Just stroke the spine of the book," Cohen said, holding up his own copy, which he'd bought back in first year—it was already dead.
"That's right, that's right!" Hagrid looked at Cohen as if he were a savior. "See! Cohen found the right way straightaway! You can all do it like him!"
After solving the book problem, Hagrid led a dozen strange creatures out of the paddock. They had the bodies of horses and the wings and heads of eagles.
Hermione and Ron gasped. Harry, having seen Cohen's Chimera, accepted these composite creatures much more quickly.
"Hippogriffs!" Hagrid happily introduced them. "Aren't they magnificent!"
For most of the young wizards, it was actually quite difficult to appreciate the gradual change in color of the bird feathers and the shiny horse fur when faced with a half-bird, half-horse monster.
"Right then!" Hagrid rubbed his hands together and undid the chain that was tied around one of the Hippogriffs. "If you want to get a bit closer—hang on a minute—Buckbeak!"

Before Hagrid could finish speaking, a gray Hippogriff screeched and charged towards the fence where Cohen and the others were standing.
"Aaaaaah!!!"
The students screamed at the sudden attack and began to run away as fast as they could—but they didn't go too far, because they really wanted to hide behind a tree and see what would happen next.
Harry and the others also instinctively took several steps back, because Buckbeak was charging directly towards where they were standing, and the wooden fence in front of them clearly wouldn't stop this giant beast.
Cohen didn't retreat. Buckbeak's young soul, with only eighteen points, couldn't hurt him at all.
What he wanted to know more was why Buckbeak would pounce on him and attack him the moment he saw him.
"Go on! Go on!"
Hagrid frantically stepped in front of Cohen. Buckbeak had already raised its two front legs, ready to slash at Cohen, but because of Hagrid's obstruction, it retracted its claws and backed away warily.
The other Hippogriffs also watched Cohen's position with wary looks.
"Don't be frightened!" Hagrid turned his head, trying to call the students back. "They might have just smelled somethin' that made 'em uneasy—hang on a sec—I'll sort this out..."
