"By the way, Professor Eisen, I still have a question," Hermione said after hearing Eisen's answer. She seemed relieved but suddenly remembered something else, looking at Eisen curiously.

"Oh? What is it? Go ahead, feel free to ask," Eisen replied, curious about the sudden change of topic.

"Do we study astronomy just for divination?" Hermione asked, her face filled with confusion.

After a year of study, especially after attending Eisen's astronomy class in her second year, Hermione's doubts had grown stronger.

Before coming to Hogwarts, Hermione had been a top student. Although she hadn't studied astronomy in depth, she had some understanding of it. But after taking Eisen's class, she found that while the content was interesting, it wasn't particularly complex. Only in the second year did the subject become slightly more detailed, yet it still didn't seem to relate much to divination.

Eisen understood her confusion. In first year, his astronomy class was similar to what other astronomy professors at Hogwarts had taught, covering the names and characteristics of planets and satellites. What set Eisen apart was his unique perspective, shaped by his background, which made his lessons feel fresh to the students.

In the second year, the lessons became more detailed, explaining the orbits of planets, moons, and galaxies. Sometimes, Eisen included more specific data, broadening the students' view of the universe. This made Hermione question whether astronomy was truly just for divination, given how complex and vast the subject seemed.

"Well, I see what you're getting at," Eisen said, nodding. "For most students, astronomy supports their studies in divination."

Hermione was taken aback by his straightforward answer.

"I know what you're thinking," Eisen continued, raising his hand to stop her from interrupting. "This really depends on a student's career path after Hogwarts. For example, some students are particularly interested in divination. After graduation, they might pursue research in the field or even apply to teach divination here at Hogwarts. In those cases, studying astronomy and divination in depth makes sense."

"But for students who aren't interested in divination and don't plan to pursue it as a career, they don't need to study these subjects too deeply. It won't affect their life plans, especially since divination is an elective course, and while astronomy is mandatory, it's closely tied to divination."

"I see," Hermione said, though she still looked a bit troubled.

"So, are you planning to pursue a career in divination research?" Eisen asked, shifting the conversation.

"No, Professor Eisen, I haven't decided yet," Hermione admitted, her uncertainty showing. "I haven't really thought about it."

"Exactly," Eisen replied. "You're only in your second year, and you don't know much about elective courses yet. Graduation is a long way off, so there's no need to worry about it right now. If you're interested in something, feel free to explore it, but remember—you're a witch. Don't waste your talent in magic."

"I understand, Professor Eisen!" Hermione's cheeks flushed slightly, but she nodded firmly.

"Then why did you apply to be the astronomy professor, Professor?" Hermione suddenly asked, surprising Eisen.

"Well..." Eisen hesitated. He couldn't tell her the real reason—how he had applied for the position to get into Hogwarts. If he had the choice, he would have attended Hogwarts as a student from the beginning. But he hadn't awakened his powers before turning 11, missing his chance to enroll.

"As I've mentioned before, I'm a Muggle-born wizard and spent most of my life in the Muggle world," Eisen explained after a pause. "When I applied for a position at Hogwarts, the role of astronomy professor was available because Professor Aurora Sinistra had left. I could have applied for Muggle Studies too, but I ended up teaching astronomy instead."

Of course, Eisen couldn't tell her about his magical awakening at age 18 or his Gold Finger ability, which would sound unbelievable even in the wizarding world. And as a time traveler, it was his most significant secret.

But what he said wasn't untrue. Eisen had lived in the Muggle world for a long time, which made him confident as he spoke to Hermione.

"So that's how it is!" Hermione said, her eyes glinting as if she'd just realized something.

Just then, there was a tapping at the window. Eisen turned and saw an owl with a letter in its beak.

Who's sending me a letter? Eisen thought, curious. He quickly took out his wand, opened the window, and let the owl fly in.

"Well, Hermione, it's getting late. You should head to bed," Eisen said as he took the letter from the owl.

"Oh, goodnight, Professor!" Hermione said, politely excusing herself and leaving.

Once Hermione was gone, Eisen turned his attention to the letter. As he read it, his expression shifted between smiles and frowns.

The letter was from Arthur Weasley. It said that Arthur had found a shop in Diagon Alley, but hadn't rented it yet because of unresolved issues with the projection equipment. He asked Eisen to meet him at the Hog's Head Inn in Hogsmeade at three o'clock on Sunday afternoon to discuss things in person.

Arthur also explained in the letter that he had been busy because the Ministry of Magic had been confiscating dangerous items recently. On top of that, Ron had taken the family's enchanted Muggle car out without permission, and word of it had spread. As a result, Arthur had been fined 50 Galleons and reprimanded by the Ministry, delaying his ability to help Eisen.

Smiling, Eisen shook his head. He wrote a reply, confirming that he would meet Arthur at the agreed time on Sunday.
