Hokage Teacher: With Dimensional Teacter System

Chapter 78: Chapter 79: Group Training

Binzoku Raitō returned to the group with a gloomy expression.

He wasn't resentful about losing because Shisui's displayed strength was genuinely overwhelming; he was no match.

However, he felt humiliated. A full-fledged genin, defeated so decisively by a mere first-year academy student—how could he not feel awkward?

"This Uchiha Shisui is ridiculously strong. He even managed to defeat a genin. Honestly, I doubt even Kakashi at the same age could have done better," someone commented nearby.

"Well… there's also another possibility… his opponent—"

Hearing the academy students' chatter about his loss, Binzoku Raitō's embarrassment deepened.

Returning to his place in the lineup, he noticed Asuma with an irrepressible grin on his face.

"Asuma, did you know about this?" Raitō asked, suspicion flickering in his eyes.

Thinking back, something did seem off.

Asuma had mentioned before that Hayashi Mikazuki was his tutor. So, it was entirely possible for Asuma to have known about the exceptional genius in Mikazuki's class, Uchiha Shisui.

"Know what?" Asuma feigned ignorance, his tone nonchalant.

"How could I have known that first-year kid was so amazing? Took you out in two or three moves."

Hearing that, Raitō felt like he'd been hit again. Getting taken out in "two or three moves" by a first-year was a hard pill to swallow.

"Everyone, please settle down." Mikazuki raised a hand, gesturing for silence.

"We have students here from first to fourth years, as well as graduated genin. All of you are comrades from the same village, so I hope you can get along harmoniously."

"Shortly, I'll conduct a strength assessment and assign everyone to groups for training. There will be three groups: A, B, and C, each with different focuses for the training."

This answered the question Raitō had posed earlier.

With students from such a wide range of skill levels—some still in the academy and others already graduated—it was impossible to train everyone uniformly. Mikazuki had decided to split them into groups.

Since everyone would be on the same training ground, he planned to teach one group, then move to the next, using shadow clones to help oversee the others.

The strength assessment was straightforward. Students would demonstrate their skills in ninjutsu, taijutsu, and basic techniques like shuriken-throwing. Teachers would score their performance.

With the help of other academy instructors, the evaluations for over 300 students were completed in just one class period, and the group assignments were finalized.

Group A was composed of students at the genin level, including both academy prodigies and recent graduates. The training focus for this group would be chakra control, physical conditioning, and advanced techniques like the Body Flicker Technique.

Group B consisted of top-performing academy students. Their training would focus on mastering the basic techniques (Substitution, Clone, and Transformation), chakra control, and foundational physical training.

Group C was the group for average academy students. Their training was similar to Group B but would involve simpler instruction and lighter workloads.

Mikazuki scanned the Group A roster and immediately recognized many names: Obito, Shisui, Might Guy—those were a given. But the list also included Asuma, Kurenai, Shiranui Genma, Shizune, and others.

Apart from Shisui, most of the students in Group A were either genin or top-ranked academy students from the fourth year.

Group B, on the other hand, had only three familiar faces: Ebisu, Moonlight Hayate, and Rin Nohara.

Ebisu's placement was awkward—outstanding in Group B but slightly below the threshold for Group A. Moonlight Hayate was only a third-year.

Meanwhile, Group C included Anko, Kotetsu, and Izumo—three friends who ended up together.

Though the trio could manipulate electricity in their first year, they were considered average when judged by fourth-year standards.

Mikazuki began with Group A.

"Those who've completed both the tree climbing and water walking exercises, stand to the right. Those who've only mastered tree climbing, stand to the left. And if you've completed neither, stand in the center," he instructed.

Most students moved to the left, a few stood to the right, and an even smaller number stood in the center.

He had the students on the left retry tree climbing and those on the right test their water-walking abilities.

After observing the exercises, Mikazuki gained a clear understanding of the chakra control levels within Group A.

Obito, Asuma, Shisui, and Might Guy had already mastered both exercises and no longer needed practice. The others, however, still had room for improvement.

"You haven't completed the training yet. Just being able to climb doesn't mean you've mastered it," Mikazuki corrected one student.

To clarify, he called Obito over to demonstrate.

Obito dashed up a tree and onto a branch, sticking upside down. With both feet glued firmly to the branch, he spun in multiple loops before leaping off.

He then moved to the water, where he ran across the surface, even executing the Water Dragon Bullet Technique mid-motion without missing a step.

"This is what it looks like to have completed the training," Mikazuki said, gesturing to Obito.

"Currently, only Asuma, Shisui, and Obito have reached this level."

Binzoku Raitō wasn't convinced and decided to test himself on the water. Three minutes later, he was sputtering and drenched.

"Asuma? Really?" Raitō mumbled, doubting his friend's abilities.

"Raitō, don't underestimate me!" Asuma called out, leaping confidently onto the water.

Raitō watched in disbelief as Asuma remained steady, even as the water rippled.

"Asuma… did you get stronger somehow?" Kurenai asked, genuinely surprised.

"Haha, not really. It's all just basics." Asuma grinned, basking in the praise, especially from Kurenai.

For the first time, all those hours spent soaking in water during Mikazuki's training felt worthwhile.

"Chakra control is a fundamental skill for every ninja. I expect all of you to stand on the right side in two weeks," Mikazuki instructed after finishing his demonstration.

He then moved on to Group B and repeated the same exercise.

Group B was noticeably different. Only Ebisu stood to the right, most gathered in the middle, and a few on the left.

The demonstrations showed that Group B's chakra control lagged behind Group A. Mikazuki assigned everyone but Ebisu to tree climbing practice. Ebisu continued working on water walking.

For Group C, Mikazuki skipped the chakra control test altogether. Instead, he began teaching basic taijutsu.

The training plan for Group C was simple: physical conditioning and taijutsu in the morning, basic techniques (Transformation, Clone, and Substitution) in the afternoon. Once these students caught up, they could begin chakra control training.

Mikazuki left a shadow clone with each group while his main body moved between them, correcting mistakes and giving demonstrations.

By the time morning training ended, Mikazuki declared the session over, allowing everyone to break for lunch.
