Chapter 1028: Fearless?-1

Seeing her run faster than a kitten instantly alarmed both adults. Although the alley was small and desolate, there was still traffic coming and going because it was connected to a busy street.

Fortunately, she didn't run far just turned left to enter the store. Samuel already noticed it but thinking about the various pictures and advertisement on front he suddenly had a bad feeling about it.

" Follow her, it could be dangerous if we left her alone." Eleanor urged him to go ahead after all young ones were much faster than her.

She looked back and waited for her security details to catch up, it only took them few seconds before they surrounded her, protecting her like a president!

They were instantly alarmed because of their client's frantic movements, something must have went wrong or else the dignified old lady would act so far away out of character!

" Ma'am, don't worry. The extraction team will be here soon! Dave, tell me the extact time and calculate the safest route out of this alley!"

" They will be here in fifty three seconds,I have already tasked everyone to form a general perimeter, they are also securing the route but it would take ten minutes!" the other bodyguard announced.

" Don't worry as long as we can get inside the vehicle nothing could damage it. We can even hold on against any sniper shots!" the first one said solemnly quickly positioning himself infront of Eleanor trying to block any incoming attacks. They were professional guards, with just one look they knew which trajectories and angles were most fatal to the client!

" Stop! Stop! What are you guys doing?" Eleanor exclaimed almost facepalming hearing their conversation.

" Ma'am?"

" There is no danger. The little girl just ran suddenly which was why I was so anxious. There is no need to make big deal out of it!" Eleanor begrudgingly explain the situation.

She knew she acted out of panic but they were in the middle of a busy street! Even passerby were looking at the situation laughing, thinking it was some sort of a public show. Few were even searching for hidden cameras! If she wasn't in disguise she would have become the laughing stock in her circle of friends. No way she was going to let this farce continue!

The guards were gobsmacked at first them realised what was happening. They immediately issue new orders saying it was false alarm while looking at her with some rare embarrassment on their faces. How could veterans like them completely misread the situation? Maybe because they were out of their element but they were ashamed to face her.

" It's alright. No need to worry about it, just...try to keep a low profile and also try not to jump to conclusions. We already have codewords so if something did happen, I will tell you immediately." She could tell they were ashamed so she temporarily disfused the situation.

There was no need to yell at them after all they were only trying to do their job! They bowed and retreated quickly out of everyone's eye. Eleanor resumed walking toward the store but her heart stopped when she heard a familiar shout!

Few minutes ago, right as Elise entered the store Samuel was dozens of meter behind her. He needed to keep her in the sight and if she did disappear, he opened his life force locator to pinpoint her location at all times.

As expected, she looked behind to see if anyone was following her. Seeing Samuel rush toward her, she started thinking it as a game of chase.

The staff inside the store spotted the small shadow, it was definitely a small girl evident by her pink dress and two ling ponytail that flutter as she ran. Continue your journey on My Virtual Library Empire

There were three people inside but they stopped moving not knowing what was happening. They were momentarily stunned by Elise's appearance which why why they were not able to react as she passed by them toward private area of the store.

" Wait! Little girl, it's dangerous inside!" One of them shouted but it was too late. Elise was already through the door and the door locked behind her.

Samuel who came inside the store saw her back but when he heard the staff's warning he knew situation was dire. He lamented not using his full power to catch her. He held back because there were countless surveillance cameras on the street, even he wasn't able to find any blank spot especially not from the camera directly facing the entrance.

He shouted her name but with the door close, Elise wasn't able to hear their warning.

" Open it, open this door right now!" He roared loud enough to startled the staff.

" We...we don't have the key. The doctor went outside for lunch." One of them said in a trembling voice. He didn't know who the person wearing the mask was but anyone could guess it must be the guardian of the child.

Since the door locked automatically, there was no way low level employee to go inside. It was lunch break which meant most of the staff went out to eat leaving them to watch the store in case any customers came in.

Samuel's frowned seeing the situation. He was worried because the store was a veterinarian clinic. The sign also said things about adoption, meaning ther would be animals inside, maybe it was a gathering point to supply wounded animals to relevant shelters either way, Elise was in danger!

He could feel several different life forms inside the room, most of them were locked in case but there were few that seemed to be outside their containment.

" What's going on where is Elise?" Eleanor also caught up to Samuel, she thought he found her but she couldn't see her anywhere.

She started panicking just like the staff who finally realised the severity of the situation. He wanted to warn the parent first then look for senior staff but Samuel steped forward eyeing the door. They could tell what was going inside the young man's head!
