" Grandma! I am sorry! I promise! I will not do it again." Elise escaped Samuel's grasp and came and hug Eleanor making excuses.

The old lady was satisfied with such a treatment, it could be considered that she won the first battle against her grandson for little girl's love!

She was very strict with her children but after the birth of grandchildren, she quickly transformed into a 'fun' elder which meant she had high popularity among them.

But ever since she met Elise, she couldn't coax her like before. The little girl always cared more about her grandson than her. Now, it was first time she came and gave her a hug on jer own violations. She was confident she would be able to win further 'battles' in the future!

Seeing that old lady wasn't paying attention to her, Elise cried out," Grandma, it's that doggy's fault. He tried to scare me! I was terrified!"

Eleanor expression faulter, her happy look gone and replaced with astonishment then to anger. Seeing her puppy eyes filling with tears, Eleanor was filled eith fury. Whoever dared to be the cause of this would surely pay the price!

" Don't cry Elise. I get it. It was not your fault." She hugged her then took a look at the black dog in front of her. This dog made her Elise cry? Wouldn't it leave a physiological shadow in her heart?

" Sami, I don't think that a dog. It's obviously a wolf! I heard wolf meat taste good if prepared well." She said with a hint of anger.

" Don't worry, grandmother. I have several techniques to prepare this type of meat. It would surely taste great considering how much vitality it has, maybe we can even roast it." He said and looked at so called wolf.

The 'big bad wolf' looked at the two people staring at him with manic glee in their eyes. It shuddered uncontrollably, whether it understood their language or not, he could feel that his demise was close!

It bowed it's head trying to make itself look small, animals follow law of Jungle much more strictly. Humans always have outliers who would act right in the face of huge adversity but it was different for animals. When the hope is lost, it would definitely surrender such was the case with the black dog.

Fortunately someone completely unexpected came to it's rescue. Elise who heard what they were saying was shocked. Eolf? Meat? Eating? Such 'foreign' concepts merged into a tragic scene.

Her thoughts went to Luna, Knight and other animals she met at ranch. The baby deer who was named after her also came into the picture, how could she possibly think about hurting them?

She escaped from Eleanor's embrace and came between Samuel and the dog with her hands wide open obviously trying to protect it.

" No! You can't hurt him. Please don't eat it!" Her tone was much more sincere than ehen she was trying to lift the restriction on her snacks. It was obvious that shebwas serious!

Both looked at her with amusement in their eyes, even the dog was shocked to see such a scene. In all his life, no one dared to show it kindness after some time even if someone compassionate came to it's rescue, it could clearly feel the slight fear in the way thry walk and talked.

Unexpectedly, the little human who was showing her back to it didn't have slightest hint of fear, for some reason her small figure looks exceptionally tall in his eyes.

" Fine. We were just joking. Whi would eant to eat him?" Eleanor said with a small smile tugging at her lips. She obviously liked Elise being courageous, for her character of any person mattered the most.

Elise looked at Samuel whobjust shook his head, a clear sign he wouldn't do it too. Elise beamed her signature smile and turned back to see the dog who was still bowing it's head while looking at her through the piercing blue eyes.

" I saved you just now, so you must follow me alright?" Elise trotted toward the beast and said with a proud expression. The black dog seemed to understand what she was saying, their was obvious gratitude in its eyes.

Elise squatted down and started petting the dog like it was most normal thing to do. Her hands were rougher than anything it had ever experienced before, she would tug at it's sensitive years and even bop it's nose but the dog didn't feel any uneasiness.

It would always flinch whenever someone touched him but Elise's clumsy hands were oddly comforting.

Samuel and Eleanor were grinning looking at such a lovely scene but same couldn't be said for others.

There were still few people in the room who witnessed everything. Two staff members and the retire firefighter were in a trance. They were wondering of they were in a dream.

Especially the staff whi had prior dealing with the dog, they never thought it could mingle with humans again but what was this? The little girl was playing roughly with it but it still looked calm and composed without any hint of aggression.

They were seriously considering whether this was the same dog, one of them even had the 'luxury' of almost getting bitten by it. At that time, He was just transferring some food to the dog but the animal almost pounced on him!

This was a common occurrence aming his peers which was why they transported it to the back, it was kind of a storage room. It laid there while the management would think about how to get rid of the menace.

Now it was being hugged by a little girl like a teddy bear. They had seen many dogs in their life but none could act so timidly with children! They awoke from their revery after hearing some footsteps behind them.
