Honkai Impact 3rd: Yumeji Satsuki's lies

Chapter 53: Chapter 53

Seeing Chiyou being blown away by Kiana, I wasn't surprised at all.

Although Kiana was a dull and immature person, that didn't mean she wasn't talented.

On the contrary, the reason Kiana hadn't really been strong up until now was because she had too much talent.

So much that her body couldn't keep up with her own rapid growth.

Causing most of Kiana's movements while fighting to be instinctive and the sharp warrior senses that Kiana had in her body, but that made her movements crude, predictable, and lacking in power. When Kiana used her brain when fighting, her movements became too slow.

Kiana was now truly fighting with all the power she had at her disposal, not too much but not too little.

You can't use a buffalo scalpel for emergency surgery, just like you can't use a scalpel to slaughter a buffalo. The same goes for Kiana, she usually just uses her strength indiscriminately and wastefully.

When she doesn't need it, she uses too much, when she needs it, she uses too little. And as mentioned above, too much or too little will only make the results worse than expected, using the right amount at the right time is the most effective way.

To put it simply, Kiana used to be someone who would never pick up soft tofu with chopsticks, and on the contrary, Kiana now can do it, even stacking them neatly into a high mountain without them falling over.

'She's starting to act like she's back' - I couldn't help but sigh at Kiana's bad habit, but I knew I didn't have time for that right now.

Even though Kiana was currently fighting fiercely with Chiyou, that was just a matter of time, there was still no way to completely destroy Chiyou's solid defense.

But I had an idea in my head, an idea that sounded crazy but couldn't help but make me feel so excited that my heart was about to pound

[The administrators were straining their eyes to eat popcorn, waiting for the final result of this long battle]

Well, just keep your eyes open and watch. While you're all staring at the other people's performance, I'll make you all fall back in amazement with my performance.

'Now then, let's start preparing'

I opened and closed my hand and looked at the remaining weak blue-white electric pulses that I could use.

Then I glanced at Kiana's match and glanced again at the silver bracelet on my left hand.

In my estimation, 10 minutes is the maximum time I have to prepare the move that can end this battle once and for all.

**********

Kiana's Pov.

Her fist and Chiyou's fist collided in the air as they both threw punches at the same time.

The shock of the two punches colliding made her white hair flutter. Kiana put more force into the punch to push Chiyou back while using it as a fulcrum to lean forward and knee Chiyou in the stomach.

Chiyou used his other hand to block the attack but Kiana immediately locked that position, using her other hand to strike Chiyou's punching arm with the handle of the Xuan Yuan gun.

She then pressed her body to pin that arm down, then fired an electronic bullet at point blank range, paralyzing Chiyou for a few seconds. Seizing the opportunity, Kiana landed her feet back on the ground and performed a shoulder swing that knocked Xi You to the ground.

Chiyou rolled on the ground after Kiana's Judo throw, but she still didn't flinch as she slammed her fist down on the ground.

Immediately after, a stone pillar appeared near where Kiana was standing and slammed it hard into her stomach.

Although she felt an indescribable nausea right after being hit by the attack, Kiana still didn't flinch, she increased the output of the Neko-Charm form on her legs before bending her knees to smash the stone pillar that was pushing her back into the air.

Just before falling, Kiana took a step forward, using the recoil when her feet stepped on some rubble, she made a short jump back on top of the broken stone pillar before spreading her legs wide and starting to slide down from above like a figure skater.

While performing the slide, Kiana was shot several fireballs by Chiyou.

But just like before, Kiana increased the output of the Neko-Charm on her hands, causing the willpower that the Honkai energy manifested to resemble a pair of cat-punch shaped fighting gloves.

With it, Kiana easily defended and deflected Chiyou's attacks.

"OhhhhRaghhh!!!"

With a loud shout, Kiana greatly increased the output of the energy on one hand, causing the willpower to swell up before being compressed by Kiana into her fist.

Then Kiana stomped her foot on the ground and jumped up, delivering a punch that landed on Chiyou.

Seeing this, Chiyou created Honkai energy barriers to defend.

But Kiana immediately performed a mid-air twist on the momentum of the jump by punching the air.

The recoil from the punch sent Kiana spinning in the air at a higher position than before, and as she spun in the air, Kiana used her other hand to grab the Xuan Yuan pistol and fired countless electromagnetic shots that shattered each layer of Honkai barrier that Chiyou had set up.

Causing only 5 layers of Chiyou's barrier to remain, and there were even a few spider web-like cracks in them.

Kiana spun again, this time using the full force of the centrifugal force to increase the power of the blow while still focusing on putting more energy into the punch.

"Ooohhhhhh!!!"

Kiana shouted loudly and slammed her punch down.

-BANNGGG!!!!

The punch collided with the barrier, creating a sound like thunder in the clear sky.

Kiana's punch then quickly broke through Chiyou's layers of shields, and finally, her fist landed hard on Chiyou's left shoulder.

—Boom!!

"Guaaaghhhh!!!" Chiyou screamed in pain as she was struck.

The impact sent Chiyou's entire body flying like a ragdoll before she slammed into the cliffside, leaving behind a crater like a small meteorite impact.

"How does it feel, old lady?! That's the true power of this young lady! Hahahaha! Hah… I'm so tired."

That punch had taken away a lot of her strength and energy. Even now, Kiana's right fist was trembling violently from the recoil of the attack.

She raised a hand to wipe the sweat from her forehead. For some reason, the air felt hotter than before. Was it just her imagination?

Her gaze shifted toward the meteorite crater where Chiyou had been buried.

"Did I… defeat her?"

Silence.

A suffocating silence that made Kiana's breath hitch. Then, the sound of rocks crumbling down echoed, making her body tense as she focused on the crater.

She didn't have to wait long. A figure quietly emerged from the dust.

Chiyou's form gradually became visible, but she no longer had that majestic, arrogant presence. Instead, she looked battered, almost pitiful.

At a glance, her armor still seemed intact, but upon closer inspection, her left shoulder armor had a clear dent with countless cracks running across it.

Judging by how her left arm dangled limply, Kiana could tell—her previous attack had broken Chiyou's left arm.

"You look more human now."

Kiana's remark hung in the air, but there was no response. Only an eerie, terrifying silence.

And then—

"Water."

Chiyou's voice was cold, devoid of emotion.

A ball of water materialized in front of her outstretched right arm.

"Wind."

The water sphere began swirling violently, transformed into a small vortex by the power of the wind.

"Freeze."

The temperature plummeted as the vortex released a freezing aura. Ice and snow coiled within, turning the ball into a storm of frost. A thin, glass-like layer of ice formed on the surface.

"Earth."

A hardened shell of rock encased the frozen sphere, making it look like a miniature meteorite.

"Fire."

The outer layer ignited, burning fiercely. The orb now resembled a celestial body aflame, a miniature sun.

"Lightning."

Instead of enveloping the sphere, electromagnetic waves crackled around it like an asteroid belt, radiating magnetic energy like an artificial star.

"Oh no!!"

At this moment, even Kiana—no matter how reckless she could be—realized the sheer danger of what was happening. If she didn't stop Chiyou now, they would all be annihilated.

And she wasn't the only one who understood this. Mei, Himeko, and Bronya all recognized the gravity of the situation.

The three of them rushed forward in unison, desperately trying to stop Chiyou—

But it was too late.

"Gravity..."

The gravity of the small artificial star began to collapse and compress.

"Fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning, fire, lightning!"

"Water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water, water!"

"Gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity, gravity!"

Barrier, barrier, barrier—she saw countless barriers being set up. Mei-senpai hurriedly carried her away, running as fast as possible to escape from Chiyou.

Through her blurred vision, the next thing Kiana saw was a small dot of light. It was so minuscule that it was nearly invisible, perhaps the size of a nano-molecule or even smaller. Yet, in this dark space, it shone terrifyingly bright, a light so overwhelming that all living things seemed to wither under its radiance.

"Supernova."

Then—silence.

What remained in space after that was only light, followed by a faint layer of sound waves that made anyone who heard it feel dizzy, as if the fabric of reality itself was trembling.

—Crack!

She thought that behind that light, only ashes would remain. A void where everything had died.

But then—something changed.

Something overpowered that light, causing it to waver and become unstable.

It was a red-orange glow.

A color like the setting sun.

It surged forth, quickly swallowing the white light of destruction.

And then—

—Swoosh!

A sharp sound echoed, like something being cut apart.

A moment later, as the blinding radiance of the supernova gradually faded, Kiana slowly regained her consciousness. Her vision was still hazy, overwhelmed by the lingering brightness, but she could vaguely make out the scene before her.

Chiyou stood there, her body bearing a deep wound—a single, devastating slash that stretched from her right shoulder to her left waist.

And behind her…

Yumeji.

His stance was steady, his posture that of someone who had just executed a horizontal slash. In his hands, a massive flaming greatsword still burned, its blade dyed in the red-orange glow of the sunset.
